But this place has everything you could ever want for a stay! Clean showers and restrooms! A wonderful laundry room! A great outdoor spot for washing dishes! Beautifully kept grounds, an outdoor firepit (propane), and a reservoir a stones throw away. We really appreciate Kahn for permitting us to stay here overnight. It was one of the best experiences of our Eastern Oregon adventure!

During our stay, we encountered some significant problems with our rig that left it undrivable. We had to stay quite a bit longer than we expected, but the manager was very helpful throughout the process and even allowed us to leave our disabled rented RV behind after a new one was delivered to us. (The mechanic and tow were reported to be coming soon.) We had only expected to stay one night, but we were very thankful to be in a safe place when we encountered engine problems. Please know that there is a chain pull open/close vent that will pump heat into your room from the ceiling, which I originally made a mistake of thinking was a smoke exhaust vent from the hotel's previous era. It will pump hidden into your room in winter, even if you turn the thermostat off on the room's heating unit. The landline phone contacts faceplate still has the previous hotel's name, Budget Inn. Sheets were old but clean and I'd stay here again.

Firstly, the person I dealt with at the desk (the new owner) was super nice, and we were able to check in to a beautiful, newly renovated room. The decor was Scandinavian minimalist, with recycled wood, and a large comfy couch for serious lounging. The room was ADA ready and sparkling clean. The bed was comfy with excellent linens. There are planned renovations to the bar/restaurant area inside the main building that I assume are now on hold due to current Covid restrictions. Secondly, the hot springs itself is a large, in-ground concrete pool that's open air. Total plus. While this portion of the resort is still to be renovated, the water is clean and hot. The pool is drained every night and refilled the following morning. The source water comes out at 140 degrees and is regulated to be around 98 to 100 degrees. It was a joy to float in the water, as bats flew overhead and the stars glowed in the evening sky. Don't know if I'll ever make it back there again, but I wish the new owners well and hope other Yelpers will seek them out for a stay and a soak. Lakeview is a fairly rural town but quaint and welcoming.
