The movers also arrived unprepared and asked to borrow my personal tools to disassemble and reassemble furniture. During the move, my wood table was damaged and now has a significant crack. After the move, I contacted the company to try to resolve the issue. Communication took weeks, and after multiple follow-ups, my request for a refund was denied. What makes this especially frustrating is that when we booked the move, we specifically told the representative that we believed we would need more time. I feel that we were grossly underquoted and were not prepared for such a significant increase in cost. The experience was made even more frustrating by the pace of the work. At times, one of the workers carried only one box at a time and seemed to be unnecessarily dragging out the job. Meanwhile, me, two disabled veterans and my pregnant friend were doing more physical work than the moving crew, which was incredibly frustrating and unacceptable to witness. If we had not helped so much it would have been even longer. I do want to acknowledge that the other worker was great, helpful, and worked hard. Unfortunately, one hardworking employee was not enough to make up for the overall experience. For the amount of money we ultimately paid, I expected a much more efficient and professional move.
