When you have a fairly straightforward request, like removing a light couch, you hope for a reasonable price, good communication, on time arrival, and friendly service. These guys communicated well, were friendly, arrived early, and got the job done quickly. The only annoying aspect was that they quoted me $100 through Yelp and when they arrived they said it would be $129. This is a result of either bad internal communication at their company or it's the typical "let's see if we can get away with charging this guy more." Once I told them the difference they agreed to do it for $100 without pushback, but still slightly annoying. read more

On 4/26/23, I set up an appointment for 5/5/23 for service in Cross Plains. Received an email confirmation almost immediately. Today (5/1/23), get a call that we are not in their service area. I used them to remove an old sleeper sofa that we couldn't leave at the curb, and were not having success via Craigslist. The Junk King booking process was remarkably easy and was accomplished via text which included a price quoted before confirming the appointment. To their credit, they did not need a long lead time, and the appointment was scheduled for the upcoming Saturday morning. The crew called while en-route to let me know they were on their way, and they arrived right on time. They briefed me about what they would do, and were very patient and accommodating as we worked through a discrepancy between the fee they expected to collect and what was quoted via text at time of booking. They offered no objections or challenges, simply asked for verification of the fee quoted via text and then they set off to work. They had the old sofa out in less than 10 minutes, and would have been off to their next appointment right away had it not been for a hiccup with the credit card reader. About 10 minutes of fussing with it and the machine finally processed the charge. With all the effort to get the fee processed, I was worried about a duplicate charge, but that did not happen; I was billed once, and billed correctly. Great service. The only reason that I don't give 5 stars is that the staffs arrive about 45 minutes later than scheduled. We weren't planning to go anywhere that day, so worked with us, but would have been nice if they give us a head's up. But overall, we were happy with the service provided. read more

I had a large pile of dirt to be removed from my driveway. I measured it, sent them a photograph and told them how much dirt there was to be removed (10 - 12 cu yds). They bid on the project. When they arrived they said it was more than they expected (it was EXACTLY as described) and told me the price would be 2 1/2 times what they bid. I bid them farewell. read more
