I had an appointment window between 12 and 2 on a Saturday at an apartment that we were vacating. The only things remaining in the apartment were items I needed packed up and hauled away. I arrived at the apartment at 12 and received a call at 12:45. They provided their status and said they would arrive close to 2. That was fine since it was within the window. I waited until after 3, and they never showed up or called again. I tried calling and got no answer. It wouldn't have been so awful if I had been able to do something with those three hours on a Saturday, but since I was sitting in an empty apartment I couldn't really do anything productive. So instead, I will find a way to remove these items myself. Thanks for nothing. read more

I called Junk King this morning, and they scheduled me for a 3-5 pickup window. I never heard from them so called at 5:40 or so to see where they were. The operator said she'd "send the guys coming a text" to call me back, and I never heard a thing. It is now 7:30, and I have a huge pile of trash and I'm moving to another state tomorrow morning. Needless to say, because of these idiots, I had to push back my move an entire day, which will end up costing us a few hundred dollars extra for another day at the house I rent, an extra day on my moving truck and trailer, and the rental car we rented for the trip. I'm guessing a lot of the reviews here are from friends and family, because these guys dropped the ball in a BIG way, and I can't be the only person this has happened to. Consider using a different service if you need to count on them showing up when scheduled. read more

After 3 quotes for a massive amount of construction debris, Junk King came in lowest. They arrived rather late in the day on a Saturday. The dump closes at 3. They got a half a truck load and there was still a bunch left. The guys worked hard but how they thought they could get the 1 & 1/2 truck loads they quoted, is beyond me. They couldn't come on Sunday because no local dumps were open. Makes sense. Then got a call the truck was broken and they'd come Monday that became Tuesday. These things happen. Tuesday came and went. No call. I called the owner, Mario, he said the truck was still broken down. Gee, would have been nice to get a call! Good thing I was in no real hurry. They came and got it all Wednesday. They didn't sweep up. The driveway was clean before they came. Was a mess when they left. Also, make sure you check the invoice. They charged me for a mattress dump fee, when I had nothing remotely like a mattress. Mario apologized and removed that fee. The whole process could have gone smoother. Jeff and his co-worker came out to remove an enormous metal tool shed that we had torn down the day prior and get rid of as much of a pile of rotting wood as possible. We didn't have high expectations about the wood since it was falling apart into small pieces, pretty well melding into the dirt below. In a couple hours I came back to find the entire area completely empty of debris and swept flat so that you couldn't even see the depressions where the shed or the wood pile had been! To boot, they were super friendly and efficient, told me upfront what they expected to happen and answered my questions. They called about 30 minutes prior to arriving to say that they were on their way (very helpful). If I could rate them a ZERO, I would. I initially contacted the Call Center last Wednesday to set up a date and time for a truck to come and pick up move out my dad's accumulated junk. Despite being promised 24 hour turn around, on Friday at 3, I was notified that they "weren't going to make it", and had 13 jobs in front of me on Saturday, so they would put this job first on the list for Monday morning. It's almost noon, and I just heard there is no way they will make it today, as they put 4 other jobs before mine. The guys trying to haul all this stuff couldn't be nicer, but Mario, the supervisor is terrible. I would never deal with this company again. read more

First off they were on time good job for that. the quote they gave me was not fare at all there was only 4 items a small couch chair small enough for one guy to carry buy them self a small wood table that was very fragile and broken it was a very light table like a school desk and a small Futon for those Items they charged me 245$ but I only had 200$ and the agreed to that but because we were in carmel valley I think they thought we were rich or something just because its carmel valley i couldn't believe for just those few things they charged so much they finished in 5 to 8 mins tops and they charged me 200$ during covid living on low income housing and social security i barley have money to eat through the month but I had to get these items out of my lil apt I have to walk with a walking chair and need more room for me to get around and since covid is going on I'm in my lil apt more then ever god bless everyone in this crazy time were living in I thank you junk King for your service but damn help the Raza out and give me a fair price at least with covid going on no one gots extra money right now I had to give up half of my food money for the month to get these items out my place a lot of beans rice and water that month read more

I think this is the Junk King franchise that helped us. Either way, I definitely wanted to write a review about Junk King to express my gratitude and complete satisfaction with their services. Originally, I called the national office to get a quote for hauling some large appliances and furniture, and it sounded reasonable over the phone, so I had them come out on a Saturday in order to give us the exact price. The two guys, who's names I can't remember unfortunately, who came arrived a few minutes even before the scheduled time. Both of them were very friendly and ready to get to work. After I showed them what needed to be removed, they talked about it for a coupe minutes and gave me a quote even lower than what I was quoted over the phone. How often does that happen! In addition, the quote was even lower than a few local businesses I had called. So, I said let's go ahead and do it. The two guys immediately got to work and within about 45 minutes had removed everything we wanted gone - fast considering how bulky and heavy some of the stuff was. In the process, they were very careful not to damage walls or anything else as they moved stuff out. They also took a few items that I neglected to mention at first and they did not charge extra - although we did pay extra anyways for their extra efforts and no doubt extra dump fees they would incur. At the end, they left with a smile on their faces and handed us a card, which I managed to lose somehow. However, I will certainly recommend Junk King to anyone who needs any kind of hauling done. Usually I'm a fan of local businesses, but these guys are an exception. read more

First Off Jeff was very Friendly and polite !! We spoke as if we've know each other our whole lives.. I showed Him what I needed taken away...Jeff went over the estimate sheet..showing me exactly what it would be for the amount of stuff I had...Being Disabled and not able to load and go to the dump myself, Jeff and His crew took the time to make sure that everything we went over was gone....
