    picnic island (currently closed)

Where the river meets the sea! This park is incredible, with so many different parts to it. It is surrounded by water on 3 sides: the Atlantic Ocean on the east, the Loxahatchee River on the West, and the Jupiter Inlet on the North. The first part is standard beach with a smallish, narrow parking lot on the east side. On the west side is a bridge to an island with a rentable pavilion, Picnic Island, which is currently closed. Keep going and there are a handful of little shady nooks along the River. These have 3 parking spots, a stone picnic table and a grill, plus a path to the river, and are completely lovely, private and wonderful (this part of the River does not have alligators and is an offshoot of the same body of water that is in Dubois Park). Past this is a little more parking, and a larger nook that is directly across from Dubois (so you can enjoy the same water as Dubois but in a shady private area). Then the INlet is in front of you directly, there is a fishing jetty, and a parking area where basically you can pull up and directly see the ocean and the inlet. This fact is key: when my ocean-loving dad was pretty immobile, I would drive him here so he could see the ocean without having to leave the car. If you can snag a nook, which are not reservable, wading into the water or fishing is fun. Walking the Jetty to see the churn of the river meeting the sea is awesome. Beautiful.

Southern Living recently named Jupiter, Florida, home to the clearest, most Caribbean like waters in the south. According to Southern Living this is because "Jupiter's location in the path of the Gulf Stream means there's a constant flow of tropical water that improves the ocean's clarity and visibility by carrying out any algae, flotsam, or runoff that accumulates. The coast in Palm Beach County gets a further boost due to its shape that juts out a little farther east and the fact that the continental shelf is quite narrow here. The result is that Palm Beach County's beaches are directly in the path of the Gulf Stream's flow, and the tropical waters actually pass closer to shore here than anywhere else in North America." You can experience the clear, clean water yourself at Jupiter Beach Park on the south side of the Jupiter Inlet. There is ample free parking and a 1,700 feet of life guarded beach with a jetty. Other park amenities include restrooms, showers, picnic areas, tables, and grills. You can salt water fish, swim, sun bathe, and snorkel. Whenever I visit the park I enjoy how you can get a great view of the Jupiter Lighthouse and that you can swim in both the Loxahatchee River and in the Atlantic Ocean in the same park. This park also connects to nearby Dubois Beach Park for even more beachy fun.

Nice public beachside park with ocean views and views of the intracoastal. There is a short pier that you can go fishing from; plenty of rocks to get stuck on though. You can also relax on the beach; it's a very quiet area compared to the other public beach access in the West Palm area. Nice lagoon area out back to swim or wade in and there is also a public restroom and wash area next to the parking lot. Hidden gem!

The water was soooooo... nice today!!!

Was really nice to take the drive and get away for some sun beach fun. Relaxing to the next level. Never been here before and so glad we came. We had such a nice time. :))))) was suppose to camp two weeks ago out here in this area and man so wish I had. The water is soooo... ice. Definitely worth the drive up here. Will definitely plan to come camping here for sure... already on the waiting list. But for now we enjoyed the clear beach water and sun... for sure will be visit again. Great way to end our weekend!!! :))))

Another beautiful beach location in the town of Jupiter. The inlet has a jetty that one could sit back and watch the waves break over it. There is also a small lagoon, walkway over the beach area, and one can also fish off the concrete wall that overlooks the inlet. The beachfront park has a lifeguard station that overlooks part of the swimming area. There are also picnic areas along with a volleyball court. A fantastic location to be lazy and just enjoy the surrounding beauty. Not your usual Florida beach gathering.

Easy park to get too. Plenty of parking to go around. They have showers and a restroom right next to entrance of the park. Park is massive and the beach is gorgeous. Once you've gone up the stairs you see it, such a beautiful sight the water. To the right and left there are lifeguard stations. Updated for weather conditions, they look sturdy. The sign out front advises you of all information needed for the beach that day. Such as temperature of water, when high give and low tides will be, strength of current, and if there is any animal presents around. This beach does have its fair share of shells but not unbearable. Overall great experience here. Not your typical Florida crowd. No obnoxious over the top loud music playing, no rude people trying to sit next to you on a wide open beach. Bring your beach chairs, some drinks and some sunscreen because there's no worries here.

Lots of sea turtle nests and shells, surf is up

Pleasant beach that has plentiful parking, is situated at the mouth of a creek, has a fishing area, and lots of shells. It has bathrooms.

The crossovers are stairs that you take from the road down to the beach. At the top of the stairs are showers. Crossovers #24, #31, #45, and #48 are ADA accessible. The 2.5 mile stretch of beach from beach marker #26 north to beach marker #57 is a dog friendly section of beach. The crossover sections do not have lifeguards or restrooms. If you are looking for life guarded beaches and amenities you need to go to one of the beach parks like Carlin Park, DuBois Park, and Jupiter Beach Park. Beaches that are maintained by the Town of Jupiter receive the assistance of County and Town, Friends of Jupiter Beach, a local non-profit group, that helps to keep the beaches clean while protecting natural resources. Note that sea turtle nesting season along the beach runs from March 1-October 31. Stay away from any nesting turtles and leave nests and hatchlings alone. Also do not leave any holes or sandcastles on the beach.

It's also one of these beaches that has been eroded so you have to walk on to the beach and then go down a hill to get to the water. We absolutely loved DuBois Park and Beach. It's now one of our favorite family spots in Florida…read more With calm, shallow waters and a sandy lagoon perfect for kids, plus picnic areas and shady spots for relaxing, the experience completely blew us away. I've honestly never found another place quite like it for families. The water is calm, shallow, and sheltered, with no waves or strong current, making it ideal for time with our three-year-old. She loved playing at the water's edge, and the tranquil conditions made it much easier to relax without worrying about waves or tides. The setting is also beautiful, with sandy areas along both sides of the water, natural trees that provide real shade, and plenty of spots if you prefer to sit out in the sun. The park felt incredibly clean and well-cared-for, with picnic benches and grills throughout, public restrooms nearby, and a lifeguard tower, though no lifeguard was on duty when we visited. There is also a pirate-ship playground, which is a fun bonus for families if kids want a break from the water. One tip: the rubber surface gets very hot in the sun, so flip-flops or other shoes are a good idea. One of the highlights is watching boats come and go from the harbor from nearly every vantage point, giving the area an authentic Florida vibe. Crossing the bridge over the lagoon's mouth also leads directly to the beach. What truly impressed us was how welcoming and inclusive the park felt. We heard multiple languages, saw diverse families and groups enjoying themselves, and everyone seemed relaxed, content, and authentic. The genuine, easygoing atmosphere made the park even more memorable. It felt like a blend of locals and visitors, both welcoming and family-oriented, with immaculate grounds. Although parking fills up, it never feels hectic. We've visited many beaches in Florida and beyond, but this one genuinely stands out. We plan to return as often as possible.
