BEWARE- My family visited this location and the old man at desk did the following- 1st - he sat out front and allowed us to walk by into store without greeting us to make us aware he was the employee of the store. I had to greet him. 2nd- I told him we wanted to rent bike for a hour or two and he stated we couldn't afford to rent his bikes but how would he know what I could afford at first meeting each other. He suggested I go across the street to another bike rental. 3rd- His response to me saying price was not a concern was oh well the bikes have to be back by 430p and it was 4pm at the time of the interaction. I believe although my money was green my race was not the correct color for him. It's a shame in 2021, people like that still exist. Kudos to him for the recommendation to the other place. The owner was really welcoming, helpful and told us what to do if he closed before we got back. Too bad I couldn't give this place no stars as a rating. read more

My wife and I were staying on Anna Maria Island for a week without a car and decided to rent bikes. The folks that run Just 4 Fun couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. They have a huge selection of bikes to choose from, though they mostly run to the cruiser variety. Provided helmets and locks, island advice, and more. When we accidentally lost a cable lock, the woman (owner?) gave us another one no charge. Very nice. Also stretched our rental period a bit when we needed them for one more morning. From the looks of their business, they have just about every type of island rental you could need, from tennis rackets to kayaks. Five stars! read more

I went back a 2nd time the following month - but was told their delivery guy is off on Thursdays so I couldn't rent a paddle board, I wasn't even allowed to transport it myself! So I was forced to rent a board elsewhere, therefore, not good rating this time ‍ read more

I have to say that I'm writing the closest thing I do to a negative review. As someone who likes to bicycle I was disappointed the service and the maintenance of the bikes. This was especially true when I made some request to fix the brakes. When the bike was delivered I was not there however the brakes were not fixed and the tires were under inflated which is a hassle luckily another nearby rental company beach bums helped Me out.... as I road I also noticed that the brakes were rubbing against the tire so the bike is really not worth riding.. This place was great! We needed some yard games to play at the house so we rented mega Jenga and slammo. Both were a hit. Cost was super reasonable and location was convenient. Also they will pick up for free so that was nice. They have tons of bikes and beach gear. They post weather, tide times, etc. Staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. We tried out bikes in the parking lot before renting. The gears only worked on one speed on the first bike I tried. I could not switch gears. The chain was completely off on the second bike I tried and the young man helping me could not get the chain back on the bike. These bikes were in a section to be rented. I assumed they were in shape to ride. The third bike worked for me, but I had three family members rent bikes for the week at the same time. Two of the bikes- the chains fell off upon switching gears constantly. If we called every time a chain fell off, we would have spent our entire vacation calling them. Thankfully my husband and son knew how to put the chains back on. One of the bikes had a loose handlebar. My family member rode over a bump, the handlebar twisted, and she fell off the bike. She rode another bike early morning our last day there and had to call us to come get her because the chain fell off, again. My husband is a mechanic who works at a dealership. He was shocked that these bikes are not completely safety checked and ridden before renting to customers. He could never let a car off the lot in such conditions. We told the woman of our experiences when returning the bikes. She told us she was new and would have the owners call my husband for a possible discount. The owner only called after I wrote a review on google. Will not rent from this place again. Sorry- but have to tell the truth of what happened. Please completely inspect and safety check all bikes before renting them out. We were not riding the bikes recklessly whatsoever. Five out of six bikes were unfit to ride and unsafe. The owner only continues to blame us instead of working to ensure that all bikes are safety checked before renting out or even offering an apology for the unsafe condition of their bikes. read more

Super easy rental company. We rented bikes and helmets for a couple days, and the whole process was pretty seamless. Pick up and drop off by the rental company was a much added plus. Not having to do any of that was so nice. The bikes and helmets were in good condition and we rode them up and down the island which was a lot of fun. This place has such great customer service! They drop off the bikes to your door and pick them up again. You can have it sent straight to your house, hotel, or rental. They give you a helmet and lock for free. The weekly rates are so affordable! I paid $75 for two weeks and it was worth every penny. Yes, the bike had a wobbly front tire and was a bit rusty. But what do you expect from bikes around salt water and sand that are likely ridden by hundreds of people a year who are rough on them? I highly recommend this company and will rent from here every time I visit Cortez and Anna Maria island! read more

First and last time with this p.o.s company! The bikes were junk, we paid for a week,got to ride them twice and the second time two broke down after 10 minutes,to the point that we had to have them replaced on the spot and then another broke! They should rename it junk not fun! When we took them back the old lady at the office just said Bye! We asked to be credited back on our credit card since we only had them for two days and she says Bye!!!!!never again! Do not waste your money!! read more

Just 4 Fun's website states that their customer service is " second to none". This was not even close to our experience. During a visit to Holmes Beach FL. in late Feb, we had one afternoon only to rent SUPs and chose Just 4 Fun based upon it's proximity to our location and the 3 hour rental option. My son is an experienced paddle boarder and is in the surf/SUP business back home. He chose 3 boards for us based upon our experience, the clerk while pleasant was unfamiliar with the merchandise, and said she would drop the leashes on those boards to identify them for the delivery man. Not only did we get different boards than the specific ones my son had chosen, but the delivery man forgot to bring us paddles. So we waited for those. The surf was choppy on the gulf that day and an hour into it the leash broke on my sons board and not willing to risk losing the board in the chop, stopped using it. We had trouble with the other 2 because they weren't the right size in the chop. We called for pick up after 2 hours because we couldn't use the SUP's as planned. We asked the clerk for a partial refund ( due to faulty equipment). She spoke to the owner who said "no refunds" and tried to find us a coupon for another time. We were told that if we were still unhappy the owner would call us the following day. Well, guess what? I waited a day or two then knowing he was blowing us off, started calling him and leaving him messages. Well here we are many weeks down the road and despite repeated attempts to contact him, he has never returned any of my calls. It would appear that Joe Prater is not interested in providing customer service as stated on his website. Very disappointing! read more

Everyone here was very friendly! They helped us out and dropped the kayak and stand up paddle boards at the beach for us so we didn't have to carry them from our rental to the beach. They were prompt when our rental time was up. We would definitely rent from them again. Great time with the kids! read more

On the plus side - we received friendly service and the drop off service was convenient - as least once they delivered to the right house. First, the drop off date was wrong - we were arriving late Sat and when making the reservation, I was told the bike and Kayaks couldn't be delivered until Sun, which we were fine with. Then got a call that they were on their way at noon on Sat. I explained we wouldn't be at the house until 4:00 and they said they could deliver then. Great. Around 5:00, I called to check on the delivery and was told they had already been dropped of. Was told to look around the yard. I did, but no bikes or kayaks. Turned out they were delivered to the wrong address - however they quickly corrected the error. (Also showed up a day early for pick-up, but apologized and left when told the day was wrong.) Were helpful the next day when needed to switch out one of the bikes for a smaller one - we dropped big one off and smaller one was ready to go. Our biggest issue was the condition of the bikes. The chain on one of the bike kept slipping off, and was pretty much out of commission a few of the days. When the chain on a second bike slipped off, if caught in the gears and sent the rider right over the handle bars. He was pretty badly banged up with scraped, gravel burn, bruises, etc. When I called to report the incident, I was told they would take one bike off our bill. $35 - seriously??? We spent more on bandages, gauze and antibiotic ointment for the injured rider! They brought 2 replacement bikes for the ones with the broken chains, but one didn't even have a chain guard. You'd think after our bad experience, they would have been a bit more selective about the replacement bikes. Kayak were in better shape, although one had a broken seat back. Next time, we'll spend a little more to get better quality equipment. read more
