I normally don't leave negative reviews on yelp. However, this has been an absolutely crappy experience. First , when we arrived they didn't know where the cart was and after 3 phone calls and confusion on 2 places we found the cart but with no keys. They had us open a garage and get keys out of another cart. That worked. What didn't work was the driver seatbelt. So we called them and left a message the day we picked it up. They never returned the message or addressed the problem for the entire 6 days. So no seatbelt for a week. Not the biggest issue, but a good example of their customer service. Next, we are trying to return the cart at the end of our rental agreement. Left a message as they never answer the phone. Got a call back and the phone call was breaking up. I told them that and they hung up and never called back. We continued by leaving emails, phone messages due to unanswered calls. NO RESPONSE!! Next we went to the address of their business on Yelp in Holmes Beach, only too hear they moved to Bradenton from a business near there old location. So Address unknown?! Finally, we have decided to leave the cart at a Rental Condo. No idea if they will pick it up. We are locking they key in the lockbox and leaving it here. No idea what else to do with no communication. Save the stress and rent from someone else. Real PIA for the end of a relaxing vacation. read more

Beware!!!!! Very poor, broken down cart and no refund! Was friendly until they got my order and credit card. However....... After we arrived, the cart was waiting at the condo, but when we wanted to use it, we found that 1.) you didn't need a key to operate it. 2.) One of the brakes were hanging up on it, so it made a loud rubbing sound. 3.) It sounded like the bottom was going to fall out of it. Obviously, they were closed when we found these things out, so I left a message for them to call me as soon as they opened the next day, but they wouldn't return my call, so I paid $320.00 for the 5 minutes that we were able to use it. I went on the website to rent a golf cart. I booked it for 3 hours just to see the sights. I booked it, paid for it and got a confirmation email. I waited for it to arrive and when it didn't I called the office. They informed me that they DON'T book hourly. ‍. Why was I able to book it, pay for it, and et confirmation? We rented a golf Cart on Anna Maria Island. Vernon was so helpful. Brought the cart right to our rented bungalow in Holmes Beach. We were also out and about one day down at Coquina Beach and got a flat tire. He came out and changed the tire for us in a timely manner. It was really convenient to leave the cart and key in the lock box at our location for him to pick up. Thanks!! I hope you all faired well in the hurricane. Rented a 6 seater golf cart over a week long vacation. It was actually Tuesday to Friday... but they called us and we were able to secure it a day earlier than expected. They also fixed a few issues with the cart promptly that the previous driver had done to it, meeting us even when we were out to dinner, doing the repairs right there, then moving on. Great service. I would absolutely recommend The Toy Barn to anyone needing a golf cart or other type of toy to enjoy vacation with!! We rented a 4 person golf cart for our week on Ana Maria Island. We really wanted a 6 person but they were sold out. On Saturday our golf cart was delivered to our Air BNB. We arrived at the house to find the key (to the cart) was never left in the lock box. So i called right away, as we were anxious to take it for a spin!! VERN answered and was so apologetic for the whole situation. He had left the island for the day and asked if I could drive it down to pick another key up. He also asked if he could do anything else for me since I was so hassled on my first day vacation. I said there is one thing, if you can find us a 6 person, because we actually had 5-6 people most days and we would have to take turns. He was positively quick to respond, absolutely, Renee ! I will look tomorrow and get back to you in the morning! In the morning, he was at our door with a 6 person cart! He did this all with a great big smile!! (Mind you he had to drive an hour or better each way to get this for us!) He made the trip so enjoyable for us and he even gave us great recommendations for some delicious restaurants on the island!! Sweet Guy who truly wanted us to be happy and enjoy our experience! We even got to meet his sweet pups upon delivery!! You can't go wrong with The Toy Barn! GREAT EXPERIENCE!! read more
