This is a personally operated business where the business owner goes by the name of Nathalie Maysonet-Gonsalvez in her business registration and Nathalie Labby in Facebook. However she practices unethically in multiple ways that I am going to list below. 1. She only accepts cash in person and not via any third party apps like Venmo, PayPal, or CashApp. Although in one rare occasion, she did accept payment via CashApp and then refused to accept anything else but straight cash in hand. But she won't give a receipt to you for the cash she took from you. If you ask her for it, she makes excuses like "I don't have my receipt book with me," or "I don't have time to pick up my receipt book, because I am swamped today." In other words, she does not like to leave any traces of any payment she has received, nor does she like to give you documentation for your payment. 2. She offered a Black Friday Special, where she said I can buy two 90-min massages for full price ($180) and one 60-min massage for my mom who has Cancer and was in a lot of pain from a bulging disc for half price ($30). The total of this package then was $210. My mom was visiting me and would leave on a Saturday. The Friday before, we scheduled at appointment at 3:30 pm. First she said she would be late, without specifying a time of how late, until I had to ask. Then she said we have to pay her $210 in advance of all the services rendered. Then she said that she will not give us any proof of payment or massage services yet to be rendered at the time of payment. She will give us something in the future at some other time. When I said that I was uncomfortable paying $210 in cash without any proof of payment or services yet to be rendered, she then said, then we don't get to enjoy her Black Friday Special Discount. We can then pay full payment for the massage for my mom ($60) since she doesn't have her receipt book with her, or have time to get her receipt book. 3. In other words, we pay the penalty for expecting her to be professional and offer documentation of payment for services to be rendered in the future, by not getting the discount she was advertising on her site. She knew my mom was in deep pain and she was capitalizing the need for her relief by creating this high pressure situation. 4. There is some sort of extra level of cruelty to knowingly manipulate a situation with an elderly woman involved with a terminal illness. This is so unethical and unprofessional that I cannot recommend her to anyone. 5. There is nothing wrong with expecting some proof of payment documentation at the point of payment with an acknowledgment of what the payment is for. The fact that I asked for it, she decided to punish my terminally ill mother and her wellness for it. She knew my mom was leaving the next day, so she made an empty gesture of an offer to reschedule, when she had the full details of my mom's departure, and I even reminded her again, that her reschedule offer is not an offer at all. This has bothered me deeply. I understand that people need money in advance for some services. But they have to offer some documentation of payment and what it is for, if they are expecting it in advance, and not just ask me to hand cold hard cash of $210, without any documentation, but a promise of documentation at some point in the future. And to exploit the situation further by playing on my mother's illness is despicable. read more
