I'm going to be real here. There are some good aspects to this store, and some not-so-good aspects. Hence my mediocre 3-star rating. I preface this review by saying that I am a HUMONGOUS Christmas junkie, and I even used to have 7 - yes, 7 - indoor Christmas trees when I had my townhome in the States (and I'm not even going to tell you how decked out my house exterior was!). Suffice it to say, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas and all things Christmas. So it goes without question that I made a beeline for this store when I saw it's jolly signage and window from the street. The store is enormous inside, and it's as bedecked and bejeweled as any Christmas store I've seen. The selection of ornaments is huge, and they are organized by theme (nice!). And there's not just ornaments; there are garlands and trees and lights and holiday games and puzzles. Imagine anything holiday-related and it's probably here. I loved the lights and the music and being surrounded by that happy, holiday environment. But here's the deal: I looked for a specific dog breed in their dog ornament area and the selection of breeds was really small. Surprising, but true. Many mainstay breeds weren't there. The selection was surprisingly small. So then I went to check out the Niagara-on-the-Lake ornaments, and hopefully find one for my "travel" tree, and perhaps a Toronto one, too. They only had a few NOTL ornaments and they were all brass, save for one painted orb/ball ornament that didn't look like the town at all to me. I wasn't keen on any of these local ornaments (and there were none of Toronto). Again, I was surprised. And I left empty-handed (which has never happened to me in any Christmas store, ever). I have to also note how the prices here, IMO, are very high for the quality of ornaments I looked at. I was surprised at the mark-up. Lastly, I was surprised how unhelpful the employees were, when I asked the girls at the cash where the local NOTL ornaments were located. They simply said "in the back" and vaguely gestured behind them. (This store is humongous, with multiple rooms, so saying something is "in the back" isn't really helpful AT ALL). In most other shops, someone would have walked with me to the appropriate area or aisle to show me where the item in question is. It was if they didn't really care if I found the items or not. My visit took place on Thursday March 30, 2023 afternoon just in case the owner is reading this bad review. Both women were scrolling through their cell phones without welcoming the few customers that had just walked in. Once I approached both employees they looked at me as if I was distributing them. Once I walked out I was not said a word like goodbye have a nice day no wonder those other few customers left before me. No wonder this Christmas store which is supposed to be full of joy especially since it's located in a tourist area was pretty much empty. I will not be returning thats for sure! read more

This is an expansive store! You keep going and going expecting to reach the end, but there's always another corner to turn with even more Christmas ornaments to browse through! There's something for everyone... even those who don't like Christmas! ;-) Seriously if they don't have it, no one does. We found several great ornaments that will be perfect for our tree this December. Just Christmas even offers customization of items while you wait or continue shopping. You can get all these they don't really need thing but kind of cute for your friends and families or god forbidden for yourself! 4 stars for fun and browsing factor 2 stars for usefulness and prices Bring your boyfriend/hubby and drive them crazy by showing them every single things that you think that are cute will for sure make an enjoyable shopping experience for them! All Christmas all the time and believe me, if they don't have it, you don't need it. As soon as you walk in you're greet with Christmas music... which, in my books, is never a bad thing but once you see the vast (and I mean VAST) display of Christmas ornaments, you'll be ready to put your tree up! Unfortunately, the employees displayed absolutely no customer service skills. They did not greet customers nor provide assistance when an inquiry was made about an item instead, giving only 1 word abrupt replies. I assume they did not want to sell the item. The spirit of Christmas was present only in the merchandise and definitely not in customer service, as one particular older female employee was as pleasant as a lump of coal. read more

I have been coming to this store for the past 15 years. Always a pleasure to look forward to my annual visit. Selection is really large. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Prices are high, but that's because its right at the heart of the tourist area. read more

It's so easy to fall in love w/ this place especially if u like cute little things. I must've taken a zillion photos in there (seriously where is there a xmas store in toronto? ...) and walked around for 30 mins. They have ornaments all yr round ... and it sure felt weird buying an xmas ornament in August! There was a little section just for shopaholics which I enjoyed the most. Lots of cute little shoes, boots, etc. There was also a sports ornament section for die hard leaf, raptor fans, etc. Anything x'mas related they've prob got! :) Def come in and browse! While on my maiden tour of Niagara On The Lake, my lady and I came across Just Christmas, the first year-round Christmas store I've ever seen. She shrieked with joy, and dragged me inside. Ok, I'll admit it, I'm not the biggest fan of Christmas. It's great and all, but along with the fun and presents and egg-nog and snow comes shopping stress, crappy road conditions, entitled brat kids everywhere, and an endless supply of Christmas music. I have fun, but I just can't shrug off those bad associations and thoroughly enjoy myself. This review is really coming off as "Bah humbug", but I'm really not trying for that, honest! Anyway, I put on my best 'silent night in September' supportive grin, and went inside peacefully. I really wasn't expecting the place to be so...thorough. There isn't a single Christmas item you can think of that this place doesn't have. Everything from huge nutcrackers, to ornaments themed after pop-culture icons, to even Christmasey 'outfits' for your booze bottles. I also have to say, this store is way bigger than you'd think from peeking in. Just huge. Everything is set up in well-organized sections; Ornaments, clothing, lights, bulbs, wreaths, mistletoe, etc. Interestingly enough, they were even cool enough to devote a small corner to Halloween items. I didn't get a good look at this spot, as there were 3 uh...'large' goth girls huddled around there. I would've liked to have seen their discussion that led to them going into a Christmas store. It was almost like they fell into an ice cave, and desperately huddled around the only warmth they could find. I didn't end up buying anything, but my girl ended up buying a box of lights. My only complaint: Endless Christmas music! I also had to ask the cashier if the music ever drives her crazy. Her response: "...Only at Christmas time." Very unfriendly employees! One was to personalized my ornament, and never said- hello, please, thank you, do I like it, is it correct -nothing. Just where to go pay. She was busy doing something else and made me feel that I was in her way. When I told the cashier how unfriend the first woman was, her response was that I should go tell her myself. I'm not kidding. This is Niagara On The Lake, supposedly a friendly and welcoming place. I guess the ladies in Just Christmas should know that Santa is watching. read more

This place has the festive spirit up the wazzo! Went there on December 1st and they were 5 alarming xmas coming. If you love xmas decorrations, this is the place for you. Only reason I don't rate higher is that is was very expensive. Everything about it was wonderful though. read more
