I am just letting folks know so they are aware of how bad the communication and response time, along with the process of getting a kitchen in with Just Counters & Other Stuff Port Charlotte is.
I started meeting with them in November 2022. Two different times Sherri came out to measure in our Ian destroyed house. The second measuring took place in January 2023.
We went back and forth on some revisions and changes but communication and response time was very slow. I started emailing, calling and trying to get a hold of someone and finally in March was told that she wasn't there anymore. Supposedly she gave all her in process to them before leaving. However at least 2 dozen or MORE clients she failed to tell them about. Myself being one of them. Omg. So I was turned over to Sheila. She was awesome and responsive initially, understanding that I had lost MONTHs in my rebuild process. We met, finalized the drawings and then they were sending someone out for a final measure. In the mean time I made my deposit in March and was told someone would come for final measure.
Nearly all the measurements they had from Sherri were wrong. These had to be corrected with the April 4th final measure.
I was told they would be updated in the computer with drawings and they would order. Cabinet lead time was now down to 4 weeks. So I asked, ok, then around May 4th they should be in. Yes. Possibly 5 weeks but yes they would be ordered right away. If they came in mid May we would be looking at end of May install. Ok. Great.
Around June I was getting antsy and started calling. Only to find out that 8 weeks after my final measure, the cabinets had not even been ordered yet. I almost lost my mind.
What?? Initially I was told that once the cabinets came in, the entire process wouldn't take more than a week. Ok. So please get them ordered.
The cabinets are estimated to come in July 12th but they wouldn't schedule me for install until they are physically there. I nearly lost my mind. So they finally did schedule me, but this is only for CABINET install. Then they tell me it could be weeks for a counter top to be installed after that. The counter has to be templated and then it will be weeks before they can get the countertop scheduled. This is NOT what was told to me numerous times prior to this.
First off, this isn't my first rodeo. Multiple remodels under my belt. I have NEVER had to wait. Usually the countertop company knows your cabinet install date and they know when you will be templated and they can go ahead and schedule you for the countertop install so it's all done rather quickly. They will not do this. This company has dragged their feet at every single turn, making this kitchen a nearly 9 month project from start to finish. Assuming it may even get in in under 9 months. They don't care about what the customer is going through, or lag times, or dropped balls on their end. Now when you call they literally don't even answer. For all I know they went out of business and took my money with them.
This is NOT a company that cares about their customers. They have horrific communication. They don't schedule in a way that makes sense. If I hadn't already given them my money I would never finish with them. Please, if you need a kitchen, there are other places you can go that are far superior. I just want to save everyone the headache and nightmare I am living.
