I am so disappointed in this company. I have been with them for 7 years and have never encountered much of an issue. But in November, 4 months ago, I defaulted on one payment and was required to make only cash payments. Well, 4 months of making cash payments and I call to try and get autopay reinstated. They inform me, which is NOT indicated on the customer portal, that I must make 12 months of cash payments before they will reinstate. 12 MONTHS! Are you kidding?! I have been with you 7 years and one default payment requires ONE WHOLE YEAR of cash payments? I've had back surgery and physically cannot drive or sit in a car until July. I signed up at Sam's Club on the assurance I would be saving money, had the free nights from 9 pm to 7 am. This was perfect because I get home from work at 8:30 pm. I leave for work at 10:30 am, so you would think my bill would go down, WRONG, it went up!!!! Doing all laundry and dishwasher after 9pm, etc, and not here all day, how could my bill go up? Signed up for their 1 for 1 solar buyback program. They changed their program and don't offer a 1 to 1 anymore. I was told I could change providers without penalty. I changed and now am being told I have to pay a $500.00 early termination fee. I'm fighting it. read more

Very disappointed! We have NEVER had more than a $200 bill when we had stream (they were awesome!!!) We switched due to the hype of saving money, better energy, etc... that had NOT been the case. With the 1st bill we expected it to be a little more just because it was something new. But we have received weekly updates on our bill for next month and it well over $300!!! I was promised no more than $150 a month at the time of sign up (with a contract to add!) So now we are stuck for the next couple of years with sucky energy and rates to prove it! OMG!! Do not join this company! If you are on a budget with NIPSCO do not join this company! They are A horrific rip off. I do not know where all the money has gone. I can't give "0" stars so I was left with giving a 1 star review. Warning...don't try to schedule a disconnect in advance because they will have your power turned off immediately. Then when you call to find out why they play dumb and tell you it will take about 2 hours to get your lights back on and if you want a supervisor you have to wait on hold for over 30 minutes!! I found out about Just Energy, when I was innocently shopping at Sam's Club in Round Rock, I was accosted by their sales person, Ana, who proceeded to swindle me with the following misrepresentations of the truth: * "I don't care how big your house is, if you're paying over $130/mo, you're paying too much! (That caught my attention, as my bill runs about $200/mo) * "I'll give you free nights, every night, from 9pm to 7am" (sounds great! My wife LOVES to turn the A/C super cold at night! I can be her hero!) * "Does your current provider give you a FREE smart thermostat, professionally installed? We do!" Given all the above, and the apparent support by Sam's Club (implied since they're selling inside the Sam's Club store) I trusted and fell for it. I signed up. From the very beginning, things rapidly depreciated in value. First was the 'smart thermostat'. I spent three weeks chasing this down. I called the sales girl, Ana many times. Ultimate, her supervisors tell me that she was wrong (it's not free) and they apologized but there was nothing they could do. I started receiving emails that show really cool bar graphs about your weekly usage. Well ... really cool if you like $600/mo usage! WTF? I change vendors and my bill triples! I called and argued until I'm blue. I've fired JustEnergy. What I can tell you is is a sham, scam, and should be avoided at all cost. But hey - that usage graph is really cool. NOT! read more

One star because I couldn't give 0!!! Never go with this company!!! Don't let your friends or family go with this company... don't let your enemies go here!!! We had nothing but trouble with them since our first bill which was outrageous!!!! When I tried calling I never could get through to anyone!!! I spent over an hour each time I called listening to pre recorded messages and never spoke to anyone!!! Our bill be came past due bc I couldn't pay the whole amount or speak with anyone! I had to contact the PUC in order for someone to finally reach out!!! Sat up a payment plan and we were good until the December payment was 2 days late reaching them bc of holiday mail!!!! They took our payment of corse but disconnected our electricity bc it "went against contract bc we were late" every other company I have dealt with has been very understanding in that type of situation bc it's not my fault or theirs the mail was slow..... but yet they didn't care they just wanted money money money!!!!
