He assured me that the gem wouldn't come out of the jewelry and that if it did just come back and he would replace it. The gem came out of the stud within the next week. Since I don't live in Kingston, I saved the stud for the next time I was in the area. I'm back in the area and I've tried to phone but the number is out of service and I've went to the store five times but it's been closed. Maybe he went on vacation? He should his new hours up on the door.

She came off extremely rude from the moment I sat down, and the work she did on me was shockingly mediocre. Almost all of the color fell out, and the tattoo healed with noticeable scarring, something I've never had happen before. What bothered me even more was how unsanitary she was during the appointment. She sneezed directly onto her gloves and didn't even bother to change them. It made me incredibly uncomfortable, and it felt completely unprofessional. On top of that, the entire time she was talking badly about her coworkers, putting down their work as if she was trying to steer me away from ever booking with them. When I later checked their portfolios online, it was obvious they were all significantly more skilled than her. Looking back, I absolutely should have booked with one of them instead. Overall, the entire experience was frustrating, disappointing, and honestly just upsetting. I would never recommend her based on what I went through.

So, I was already a bit annoyed before we even got started. I was trying to take a chill pill and go with it. I figured if the rest of the experience went well, then I could let the lateness go. But...nope...the unpleasantness continued. The artist was inappropriately and loudly chatting with a dude sitting in a chair near us while she was working on my tat. Her boobs were hanging out and she was swearing like a trucker. Don't get me wrong, I love boobs. I just did not want this strangers boobs in my face. I swear a lot, but not to strangers and not at work. I think she was going for edgy and cool, but it was crass and cringy. I was uncomfortable. This was overall a really dumb experience. The tattoo itself is messed up. It was a very easy one and besides being off center, she made a couple of small mistakes above the actual tattoo. I couldn't tell when I left because of the redness, but once I got home and cleaned it up, I saw the extra unwanted ink dots above the tat. Boooooooooooooooo It was such an unprofessional experience, that I decided to not even follow up. Customer service did not seem to be a priority here. BTW, this was not my first tattoo. I have several tattoos from different artists and shops and cities - I always have a fantastic experience. I regret going to this place. A positive note: the price was decent.

Kathy has been tattooing in Kingston for 32 years, from when tattooists were required to get way…read moremore training than the new tattooists do now (and when people were super sexist, so she had to work way harder to make it) - she has been trained by a skin doctor in tattoo aftercare and she really knows her stuff in contrast to a lot of other tattooists who seem to just be doing what they've been told without really understanding why. She is also a super lovely warm friendly lady, which makes getting a tattoo with her really enjoyable. I'm sad I couldn't talk to her longer :P There's no social media presence or website for this business - you do have to call her, but even as a young Millenial/Zennial, it's totally worth it. I won't be going anywhere else in the future. I especially recommend this place for women who don't want to deal with the subtle toxic masculinity you often find at other parlours, which is why I switched from my previous place in Kingston.
