I was very pleased with her work and I probably would've gave 5 stars if the following hadn't occurred. So this place is an open type studio, so you can overhear conversations with other tattoo artists and clientele. Normal, nothing wrong there, its like that at a lot of shops. However, one of the other tattoo artists named Jess, (not sure if this is short or what, skinny woman) was extremely unprofessional in every aspect. Keep in mind I wasn't her client, so I only grabbed bits and pieces but essentially she was complaining very loudly about some ex roommate of hers suddenly moving out on her, being a slob , how she's getting people to threaten this roommate ,something about sex offenders?, her ownfriends all being to jail, how she's been to jail , how she's going to party tonight, what she thinks about the owner being unprofessional, complaining about HER OWN Clientele, and she went on and on about all her personal problems that I believe has nothing to do with the workplace. I don't know if she was under the influence, or this is simply her mental health , but because of her, it really ruined my enjoyment of getting a tattoo. What's very concerning to me is that this particular employee is essentially bragging about being a criminal. And I'm shocked that this is allowed by management. Great prices, great studio, but this one particular employee is an absolute nightmare. I would not recommend this studio to anyone if she's on premise.

Brad was super friendly and we got right to work on the idea I wanted to create. I had my aunt write the words on a piece of paper which Brad made in to a stencil..he then looked on web and we picked style of flowers. In a few minutes the stencils were drawn up and we were on our way. On the top of the foot is not for everyone as it is a tender spot....lol...to say the least...Brad was super intuitive and always asked how things were going or if I needed a break. Amazing work ...from coloring to line work and artistic eye. Brad knew where to throw some background elements . After 3 hrs I was left speechless with how awesome the tattoo turned...the handwriting especially. I had a chance to browse through both Brad and "Berto's portfolio's and they are both impressive. I will definately be back to the shop for more ink.

I told my boyfriend to ask for it back but we were told that he had already spent it on meth very unprofessional by the way. Meanwhile all of this is going on and we went back because he said he could finish it and picked my boyfriend up around 3 and didn't bring him back until 1 in the morning with it still not finished and continues to ask for more money when we haven't even received the amount of work we had payed for. The artist was getting up all the time and could not stay still and also left my boyfriend in his shop alone for around 1 hour. We have called and called him to finish or just give us money back so we can just be done with this place but he hasn't even answered the phone. Her boobs were hanging out and she was swearing like a trucker. Don't get me wrong, I love boobs. I just did not want this strangers boobs in my face. I swear a lot, but not to strangers and not at work. I think she was going for edgy and cool, but it was crass and cringy. I was uncomfortable. This was overall a really dumb experience. The tattoo itself is messed up. It was a very easy one and besides being off center, she made a couple of small mistakes above the actual tattoo. I couldn't tell when I left because of the redness, but once I got home and cleaned it up, I saw the extra unwanted ink dots above the tat. Boooooooooooooooo It was such an unprofessional experience, that I decided to not even follow up. Customer service did not seem to be a priority here. BTW, this was not my first tattoo. I have several tattoos from different artists and shops and cities - I always have a fantastic experience. I regret going to this place. A positive note: the price was decent.

She is also a super lovely warm friendly lady, which makes getting a tattoo with her really enjoyable. I'm sad I couldn't talk to her longer :P There's no social media presence or website for this business - you do have to call her, but even as a young Millenial/Zennial, it's totally worth it. I won't be going anywhere else in the future. I especially recommend this place for women who don't want to deal with the subtle toxic masculinity you often find at other parlours, which is why I switched from my previous place in Kingston. Recommended :)
