My husband gets a tuina (masseurs are mostly Chinese with a couple of Caucasians) and I got a Thai massage. Curiously, all the Thai masseuses come from Japan. I heard them chatting in native Japanese while I changed into my Thai clothes before the massage. Is Thai massage that popular in Japan that they have an oversupply of masseuses? Why didn't they import Thai masseuses to do the job for less? Why aren't the Japanese doing shiatsu? Wish I know the answers! Unfortunately, this place fails at what counts the most: the quality of the massage. No, it's not bad, the therapists didn't talk on the phone and didn't hurt me. But the experience was a big meh. I didn't walk out feeling more relaxed or lighter on my feet, let alone sleep deeper that night or walking up refreshed the next day (which happens with a good massage). Despite intake form and reminder, the masseuse did not do extra work on problematic parts. My husband was not happy with his tuina either. At $85 (for the "better" tuina master) and $70 for my Thai, it's not expensive but I didn't feel it was money well spent either. Too bad, so wish to like this place.

King Thai Massage did not mention that they would not be covered by SunLife and when my husband put the claim in through later that night it was rejected as King Thai Massage is a delisted provider. I am now out $60 on something I assumed would be 100% covered. I requested some accommodation by just refunding me the $25 RMT premium and the location refused. Needless to say I will never go back and I hope to warn others ahead of time as well.

At this point I have to admit that I'm getting a little confused about which one is which as they are all starting to look very similar. To add to the confusion, some of the staff move around so if you find someone you would like to use again, you need to ask for their card and contact. They sometimes work at one spa, and then move to a different one in the area so you need to ask for their availably and not assume anything. As well, their business cards may be from another spa, and not the one you were in. And since their technique and training vary widely, it helps to know what you're in for. The reflexology was done in the massage room, which wasn't quite as good since she skipped the soaking in hot water part, which is good in that there's more time for massage, but bad in that the soaking seems to help relax your feet and feels great! Ask about the soaking when you put in your order as you can choose to have the feet first, or vice versa. And ask if they include soaking in the procedure. Nice spot in the north strip of Chinatown!

The therapist should cover whole of your body and concentrate on your pain points. Massage should have a relaxing effect and an instant relief in body-aches. I don't like therapist talking constantly during message. The massage pressure should be controlled either hard or gentle, but I hate when you ask for a hard massage and therapist just elbow your back for whole of the time. So Kelly's spa met all my expectations without saying. The therapist are professional and they will understand your pain area and cover your whole body from head to toe including hand and legs, giving a special treatment to your pain area, for me it was shoulders and neck. The therapist also applied soothing balm, which gave me more relief. I felt like sleeping on the table. There is nothing to complain about. Totally worth the money, infact the place is reasonably priced or say a steal-deal, compared to other useless spas.

Reception is always friendly and I appreciate that she always reminds me to book my next appointment because she knows my favorite therapist gets booked up quickly. I like a light extraction, but she was quite rough. Still, it was effective and I liked her. She was really nice and gave me good advice for my skin - especially considering that I don't do facials regularly. I love that they also offer SPF treatment at the end so your fresh skin is protected on your way out the door. Booking here was not the easiest thing. It was a little difficult to understand all the pages on their website, but now that I've gone through the process - I can understand their packages better. I will say, I did not like speaking with the receptionist. She's quite forceful and talks over you a lot. I wanted the answer to one simple question and she went on for almost 7 minutes. I was quite frustrated and almost didn't book because I didn't enjoy the interaction with her.
