Although this store wasn't on my thrifting radar, once inside I had a case of Deja vu and believe I might have been here in the late 90's. Not really a thrift store, it's a bit strange in the merchandise they carry, as well as layout. There's room set ups consisting of used and antique furniture pieces, many priced much higher than they should. Off to the side is "buyout" type merchandise (think Ollie's) - which was reasonably priced. In the back were older items, well past their prime that perhaps were from a yard sale or picked from someone's curb on trash day. Further in the back is new, modern (although some a bit tacky) furniture that's cash and carry and/or rent to own. Even with the displays the space feels like a warehouse filled with stuff. Somethings were admittingly unusual (throne chair, suit of armor), but most were mundane or dated items you could get anywhere for less. There's a distant smell throughout like musk and mildew. The cashier/front desk had a pawn shop feel and I wouldn't be surprised if that's how some of the items were obtained. There seemed to be some "regulars" hanging out just for something to do that didn't appear to be making purchases. There's no one on the sales floor to assist you. So while I love thrifting and hunting for unusual pieces, this store didn't cut it for me. It's suffering from an identify crisis for one, and has too many things going on to really know for sure what it is - antique store, yard sale, salvage, etc. Prices were unreasonable for the majority of the items for sale, customer service non existent, and I wouldn't pay them another visit.

The matching black circle mirror for the dresser was back-stocked, so we opted to pick up that piece at a later time to also save money. BIG MISTAKE! A worker assisted in loading this large heavy piece into our car for transport. After moving, we opened the packaging to discover we were provided with a square white mirror vs the black circle we paid for. When I called to attempt making an exchange for the correct mirror I was given the options consisting of the following conditions: 1. Paying for delivery fees for the delivery of the correct mirror and pick up of the wrong one (unless of course I wanted to use my gas and time to lift and transport the extremely heavy mirror back for exchange myself and personally installing the new one). 2. Having a 4 hour delivery time window where I had to be available, which would only be provided the day prior to delivery, possibly conflicting with work schedules. Long story short- we were forced into choosing the 4 hour delivery option. It was eventually delivered and installed. While the delivery team was courteous and helpful, the customer service who handled the phone conversations and scheduling were less than. While I love the products, the customer service (lack thereof) has me weighing other options for all future furniture purchases.

The whole complex looks dated, but don't judge this location on it's looks from the outside. Inside of the store is nice, clean, organized, and well stocked. There were very few empty shelves. This Ollie's has one major issue: Store is WAY too small. There is nowhere near enough space between any of the aisles, with most being only one cart wide, making the shopping experience difficult. There is nowhere near enough queue space behind the registers. Ollie's needs to lease the vacant 13,000 sq ft storefront next door and expand into it. Overall, this could be a standout Ollie's if it had more space. Still worth a stop.

It's a trick that definitely works on most people...especially older people who aren't computer savvy. The salesperson was very helpful and we didn't make it easy since we couldn't decide on a color. We almost ordered a Rowan leather recliner in custom leather for $1230 that day. They had one on the floor that was in stock in a different color leather for $1030. I was also told that delivery to my house would $100 and delivery to the store for me to pick up would be $40. We decided to take some color swatches home with us and sleep on it until Sunday. We ended up picking the color they had in stock instead of a custom color. I figured I would check online just to see if I was getting the best deal...Boy I'm glad I did. Wayfair had the same chair they had in stock for $732 and free shipping plus I had a 10% off coupon in my email in the morning no doubt because I had the chair in my shopping cart and didn't follow through with it yet. It brought my price down to $702 with tax and free shipping for a Rowan Manual Rocker Recliner by La-Z-Boy Qty: 1 Upholstery: Leather Mate Natural Reclining Type: Manual Recline Motion Type: Wall Hugger So I waited until the next day figuring I would go back to the store since they price match just to give the salesperson an opportunity to make the sale since she did help us ultimately. I walked in and showed her the wayfair price and she said she doesn't think her manger will go for that since it's over $300 off of the price. I said no problem I'll order from wayfair. She then proceeds to tell me that wayfair just sits it in your front lawn when they deliver. First and foremost it's free delivery which the lazy boy store didn't offer. Second they put it on your porch just like ups/fedex do...we've ordered plenty from wayfair. Third they offer a bunch of delivery options for different prices. The first option up from free delivery is carry it into your room of choice unpack it and take the trash for $19.99. So just that options half the cost of their pick it up from the store option. So needless to say I ordered it from wayfair and saved a ton of money but ultimately wanted to write this review to let people know that furniture prices are negotiable and do your research before buying. I just feel bad for the seniors that go into stores like these and get taken advantage of because they don't realize that it can be had for much,much cheaper.

I discovered the Opp shop while doing a thrift google search of the area. Little did I know it was…read moreliterally right down the street from a Goodwill I've been to twice. How convenient! It's located in a deserted, large shopping complex with the anchor store vacant. The lot is expansive and this store is on the end next to the large vacant property. For that reason I would be leery of going at night alone. Otherwise approaching I could see it was a store with a substantial amount of real estate. Furniture pieces were visible thru the window. I couldn't wait to get inside to explore. Is it the cleanest, most organized store? You can literally see dust balls float across the floor. No...but its full of vintage items as well as pickers. How do I know? You can witness them on the sales floor doing pricing research on their phones while holding tight to an item. I would guess that the majority of the customers were resellers. For that reason, if you see something you like, whether you think it's valuable or just valuable to you grab it. Take a look at that complete set of vintage mushroom canisters I came across. I know they are a highly desirable collectable. I left them for someone else to discover and enjoy. What I would consider highlights for this store is the furniture pieces. Large, small, new and old, like antique old (see pic). The large solid wood wall unit was complete with shelving and lighting and priced at only $299. I'm sure it was a few thousand new. If you dabble in decorative painting and furniture upcycling like I do you'll want to add this store to your thrifting stops. Housewares and decorative items were plenty and arranged better than some departments. I scored some great pieces in this dept that have been on my "thrift wish list "for some time. Toys, crafts, and misc were a huge mess, with piles on the shelves and on the floor without any consideration to order. Prices are very affordable, only a step above yard sale for most items. Linens were stocked well and included a lot of vintage and handmade pieces like crocheted afghans. Clothing was a miss for me. Although I did see they have dressing room the department was so full and clustered together I didn't feel like routing. Shoes I felt were priced high, one price depending on item (see pic) without consideration to brand or condition. DVD's were labeled as half off, but I didn't see a price for comparison. The book department was large and popular. On the day I was there they were constantly adding new items, including furniture pieces, and the pickers were standing ready. This store is part of the Opportunity House, a non profit that offers social services to disadvantaged families, a mission I truly support. The employees were all nice, especially the young man at the register, who provided me with a loyalty card - get it hole punched for each purchase. So while this might not be the best looking or best kept store, it's a great place to hunt for vintage and current items on the cheap.
