The…read moregroomer mentioned when I dropped him off that she wanted to close early that day & I noticed that she appeared to be in a hurry. I wish now that I had taken my dog back home but I went ahead & left him. Less than an hour later, she called me & said my dog had had a seizure. She would not tell me whether or not he was alive or dead. I managed to get her to take him immediately to my vet & hurried to meet her there. He was dead. Not long after that, I moved to a new house & was chatting over the back fence with my neighbor one day & commented on her two pretty white pekes. She said "Oh yeah, let me warn you, if you get a dog don't take it to Dog World. I took my female peke there last year & they called & said she'd had a seizure." My neighbor went on to say that she rushed her dog to the vet & he managed to save her. Unfortunately, my little Rocky wasn't that lucky. Quite a coincidence, huh? Two dogs with no prior history of seizures mysteriously have seizures while at this establishment. Makes you wonder how many more there might be! My dog was accustomed to being groomed before we moved back here to Alabama & certainly wouldn't have been a problem to a groomer. Before taking him to Dog World, I called & was assured there would be no sedation used. In my opinion, he was over sedated & died as a result. No, I can't prove that. I was so devastated the day he died that I didn't think to have my vet do a necropsy. But there is no doubt in my mind that if a necropsy had been done---we would have found barbiturates in my dog' s bloodstream. Ditto for my neighbor's dog. As I said---quite a coincidence! I wouldn't trust this place with my pet rock if I had one. I've never written a review before but would like to hopefully save other pet owners the pain I experienced when my little dog died so abruptly at Dog World.

Dogs get their own room here. They get play time as well. Our dog is always happy when we drop him off and when we pick him up. I would recommend them to anyone, although it is out of our way, they have what is best for our dog and that is a great place to be :)

************ Please read ************** This business gave…read moremy dog a good haircut but: - I was continually interrupted when I was trying to ask questions and get information - Gave me no time options - They were so rushed in the process of taking my dog in that they ignored what I was trying to tell them about him. - She did not check my dog's records to see his health conditions or if he had kennel cough either. - Took them 8 hours and 30 minutes to get the job done for a ten pound dog - When I called to check up on the progress I was hung up on - Was accused of lying about being mistreated - I tried to express concerns about my dogs health but they wouldn't listen - Owner tried to gain sympathy for her own medical history - I've never had to wait this long for any size dog to get groomed before - The owner tried to tell me that my dog was scared and nervous because he must have been scared by a past experience with a groomer, however he has been to a groomer before and this has never happened. So considering all of their other behaviors they were obviously impatient with him and this must have been why he was so upset when we picked him up. - The owner tried to argue with me and tell me that I had not communicated with her when I had tried and was hung up on. When I expressed that I didn't want to argue about it she just kept arguing with me and wouldn't let it go. - I cannot emphasize enough how poorly the owner handled this situation and I have not had an experience with any establishment that was this bad in a long time. *** I will not be bringing my dog back to this establishment again and if you care about your dog you won't bring them there either. ***
