The quote was $276 including tax for 410A Refrigerant per pound and I would need over 4 pounds according to Jesus's spoken estimate. They also wanted $345 for a capacitor. I got a second opinion from Airworxks Mechanical. They found the leak (the inline refrigerant filter) and I had them repair the system. They charged $85 a pound for the 410A Refrigerant. That's a deference of $191 per pound. They also noted he system needed 4 lbs on their estimate but ended up having to use more but didn't charge for the overage above the estimate. Jesus recommended a new system and and ARS salesman came out that day. The quote for a Carrier comfort A2L 2 ton 16 seer2 system was $13,524.70 which included a $5,796.30 discount.
