After they replaced the part my 2 flush toilet was not emptying well. They sent 2 plumbers out to check it out. They said that my toilet holes which deliver water from the tank to the bowl were calcified and I needed a new toilet. My handyman improved the flush so I did not buy a new toilet. The toilet was not flushing as well as it should. My normal plumber was recovering from an injury but said he could come out and check the flush. He came out and said the tank was completely emptying in the bowl, however the water was emptying the bowl too slowly. He plunged the toilet and said it was now emptying correctly. Since I use a bidet it was not a toilet paper clog. He said it was likely a small object which had flushed down the toilet and was blocking the discharge from the bowl. I had not been having a problem with the flush prior to DiMonde coming out to fix the toilet. Perhaps they accidently flushed the object down while they were working on the toilet. In any event, I would have expected them to have checked whether the tank was emptying fully and whether the toilet bowl was emptying too slowly and tried to plunge the toilet before recommending a new toilet. These were basic plumber tests that i would have expected any plumber to try before jumping to replacing the toilet. The tank was emptying correctly and they said that it was not and did not check whether the bowl was emptying correctly. I do not trust the skills of their plumbers. I will use someone else. My neighbor had a service call on a weekend. It took the plumber 5 minutes to free a clogged drain, The bill was $500 for the 5 min repair. This seems out of line for an after hour quick fix.

Since I live in a condominium, my neighbor downstairs came upstairs and advised she had a leak coming through her ceiling. Immediately, I searched and searched and realized that the pressure tank on top of the water heater finally gave way, releasing over 40 -50 gallons of pressurized water everywhere. I was able to get a hold of a friend who had used Buddy Mintz plumbing before and swore by him, his crew and results. Once I shut down the water supply line and killed the breaker to the water heater, I made the call. Within an hour, Buddy Mintz came out, assessed the situation and replaced the pressurized tank within no time and with no issues. He did advise that the water heater, itself, was at the end of it's life and he strongly recommended a new one. I agreed and the very next day, a new water heater was installed with no issues, hiccups and up to standards. Buddy, himself, has a great attitude on life, is extremely professional, kind and courteous. This service had a personal touch to it and felt like he and his crew members, who assisted, were perfect for this job. They do not offer any type of water extraction methods but they will take care of your plumbing needs quick and with great results. Thank you again for an (almost) painless experience but if it weren't for y'all, I may have waited days and days with a competing business.

The water heat coat $430 at Lowes and it was 2 hours of labor, so that is about $2,000 profit. I called the office the next day to find out why it was some much. I was told they charge a flat rate for water heat replacement and the plumber should have told me what the cost is before he did anything, He did not! The person I talked to got defensive because I was questioning the price and told me "WE HAVE TO EAT" with an attitude. I HAVE TO EAT TOO AND I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR PUTTING FOOD ON YOUR PLATE! I would not have used them if knew it was going to cost that much. I would have looked for an independent plumber that charges a fair price and not used these price gouging crooks. They have a lot of five star reviews so either those people were not price gouged or in plumber terms they don't mind flushing money down the toilet. I was over charged by at least a $1,000. I'm sure the owner will reply to this review with some cookie-cutter respond. " We're sorry you feel you were over charged, we strive to have competitive rates". Yeah price gouging like the rest of the plumbing companies. My water heat sits on a shelf above my dryer and they had to send another plumber out to help take the old one down and put the new one up. I believe they charge me $200 for that, so much for that flat rate. The flat rate was too much to begin with so that adds insult to injury. The person I talker to tried to use the water pump used to drain the old water heater as an expense. It's a battery operated pump the size of a shoe box that cost around $300. That person tried to act like it's some high dollar piece of equipment that's expensive to operate. What a joke! They got me on this one. Lesson learned.
