I am so genuinely pleased to write a review for Justine and her team for making my 50th birthday exactly what I had envisioned. I had interviewed a few different private chefs before I decided to go with Justine. She was very prompt in answering my phone call and offered to come and meet me at my home and discuss the details of the event. She was very quick to understand exactly what I wanted and was also very patient with me as I went back and forth on the menu. The food was comparable or even better in taste than some high-end restaurants. I have traveled quite a bit both in the USA and abroad and I have dined at a lot of world-class restaurants The presentation was spot on, so beautiful. Justine is a very passionate cook and chooses only the finest ingredients for cooking. She is very resourceful and will also help you with decorations and party rental stuff. She is a talented cook who prioritizes seasonal ingredients when possible. Most importantly, she's a great listener who just wants to provide a great menu for you and your guests. And Justine is not just a caterer, she's a swiss army knife of party planning. She helped us select a venue, connected us to a rental company who was cheaper and better than others, and she worked diligently with our wedding coordinator. Justine guided us through the process and always had our backs as she knows when and where vendors overcharge. She told us we didn't need to rent bathrooms and that one bar would be enough and she was right. Justine is generous, calm, experienced, and thoughtful. So this was an amazing experience. I attended a retirement function at a private residence where Justine's provided the catering. Moving from the delicious hot shrimp to the squash soup, and many other things, I could not help but be struck by the fact that I was experiencing flavor seasoning combinations that were completely new to me!!! Now, I have eaten a lot in my life, and all over the globe, so it takes a lot to surprise me. Well, this was a pleasant surprise. Not only did it taste fabulous, but the hors d'oevres and other items were beautifully plated. What a treat to come across some unusual pairings and seasonings, my palate had a great evening :)!!! Justine and her team are amazing. I had to plan a last minute wedding in less than a week (bride's mother was diagnosed with an illness and the wedding needed to be moved up) and needed a caterer that made organic food. Justine contacted me immediately after I emailed her, and she was able to provide a sample menu and rough estimate. From the very beginning, Justine was professional, patient, honest, and just one of the nicest people you would ever want to work with. The food for the wedding was amazing and fresh. The guests raved about the food (especially the prawns!), and I don't think I've had more delicious food at a catered event, than this wedding. Justine's staff was extremely respectful of the kitchen space and venue space, and left the space immaculate. Her wait staff was very professional and made sure that our guests were well taken care of. Beyond the delicious food, I am so appreciative of Justine's help in general. Amazing caterer! Delicious, beautiful food; responsive, creative menus; excellent, professional staff. Justine catered a work celebration for 35 people in our back yard. She worked with us to develop a menu that made our vegan and GF guests as happy as the omnivores, within our budget. She had great suggestions for layout and logistics, including all the tables, chairs, plates, cutlery, linens, and even some gorgeous lighting that transformed our yard. Justine truly loves to create delicious food. She spent hours before our event creating layered sauces and carefully prepared dishes, from appetizers and an amazing cheese tray, through the dinner and incredible desserts. She was generous in her portion estimates, leaving us with some yummy leftovers. The whole team was professional, capable, and lovely to work with. Justine catered our wedding. She is an amazing cook, with excellent suggestions, a command of her business, and a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail. She is more than that though, she is also part wedding planner, and helped my fiancée and I navigate to a memorable wedding ceremony. My fiancée and I had opted to keep our wedding reception small ( 70 people) and hold it at my parents' house rather than a venue. After some asking around Justine came highly recommended as a caterer and after a sample tasting we knew why. I was lucky enough to be invited to a small birthday dinner party where Justine was preparing the meal. The food was amazing! We were prepared for a backyard casual. She had artfully prepared small plates of shrimp appetizers, regular and gluten free flat-breads, and scrumptious kale salad in take-out containers. Can I give 10 stars?!! Justine is amazing. Everything about Justine made my wedding! From the moment I met Justine, she made me feel completely at ease about any stress I was feeling about planning my own wedding in 4 months. She acted as much more than just my caterer. She assisted with rentals, telling us how much alcohol to buy, and even assisted in a wine tasting so we can decide on what wine we had at my wedding. When we had our tasting, I knew I was absolutely in love with her cooking. Everything was very fresh, organic, and the opposite of what I consider "wedding food," or mass produced catered food. I had almost every guest at my wedding comment on the incredible food, from our appetizers to the salad, to Justine's bread (that she makes herself), to the fresh salmon and chicken meal. We used Justine for my daughter's 21st birthday party and we could not have been happier. First, Justine is truly a delight. She came over a couple of weeks in advance to work with us to plan the menu. That was fun. Her ideas were incredibly creative. She arrived a coupled of hours early on the day of the party and took charge. We started with two appetizers, a pear, Brie and prosciutto pizza, and Salt and Pepper shrimp. Cannot describe how good they were. We than had an heirloom tomato and Burata salad, which was great. The main course was pork tenderloin stuffed with apples, cherries thyme and pine nuts with a port wine and balsamic reduction...even better than it sounds! i attended a holiday party tonight, and Justine's food was so fabulous, I just had to come home and write about it. The short rib sliders, jumbo prawns, brie and prosciutto pizza were beyond perfection. I could not stop eating the white chocolate macadamia cookies and a chocolate brownie dessert with a layer of caramel and graham cracker crust. We hired Justine to cater my wife's 50th birthday party at our home. This was the first time we arranged a catered party and we did quite a bit of research, including a number of phone inquiries and a couple of face-to-face interviews, before choosing Justine. Justine was very warm and friendly and spent a lot of time helping us figure out what we wanted to do. My wife and I enjoy eating gourmet food, and prefer creative, interesting items with a focus on seafood and fresh produce. Justine worked with us to create a perfect menu for our guests and us. We decided to have a number of appetizers/small plates brought out in waves instead of a sit-down single main course meal. Some of the highlights of our menu included salt and pepper prawns, a boxed salad with lentils, faro, kale, wild arugula, parmesan, shaved fennel and a champagne vinaigrette, a variety of interesting flatbread pizzas, and awesome raspberry/blackberry streusel bars. There was plenty of food for everybody and many of our guests raved about the variety of high quality and interesting items. Justine and her staff of 3 were extremely attentive to all of the guests. They made sure that a vegetarian was provided with an ample assortment of vegetarian items, that the children were provided with the items that were more kid-friendly, and that a guest that arrived late had plenty of food. At the end of the party, they cleaned up the kitchen so that it was in a better state than when they arrived. We highly recommend this Justine's catering. read more
