Chef Ray was supposed to cater my wedding this past weekend. He was always super responsive and presumably turned down larger weddings to take on our 55 guest wedding. (Long story short) 10 days out from our wedding, the venue cancelled on us. I had to reach out and tell Chef Ray that we needed to cancel on him. He was very understanding and genuinely seemed sad for what had transpired. He offered to make accommodations but we had to move everything to a banquet hall that did not allow outside catering. We are super disappointed that we didn't get to use Chef Ray but incredibly grateful for the kind and decent person he is. That is hard to find and, in and of itself, should motivate you to book him for your event. read more

Casey, Lisa and their staff catered our 25th anniversary party and our friends are still gushing over the food! We rent out our home for many parties and events and we see many caterers come and go. We chose 805 because out of all of them we could tell they were a bunch of notches above the rest. Everything is homemade and delicious. They are a dream to work with, completely getting the vibe we wanted and were so accommodating. We really felt like they were hosting a party of their own, and they wanted everything to be perfect. This is a family run business, and it feels like it. We let them do their thing and were able to enjoy our party knowing they had it all under control. In the middle of the party the wind came up and they had to completely break down and re-setup the main food station. No complaints, no drama, it just happened and the party continued perfectly. Not only is the food delicious, they didn't scrimp. Our friends pigged out, and then we actually had leftovers! At the end of the party when only the cool kids were still here, we found ourselves mulling around the kitchen ready for a some munchies. There was a whole bunch of goodies left behind that we all chowed down on! When they left the kitchen looked cleaner than when they arrived. Casey and Lisa were amazing! We had them cater and bartend a small backyard birthday party that was simply perfection. Casey and Lisa came up with a menu for us which was well thought out, simple (as requested) and absolutely delicious!! They were very attentive yet unobtrusive and made sure my backyard candles were always lit! Casey and Lisa really have attention to detail. The set up the the charcuterie table was absolutely beautiful. They provided an outdoor bar and bar service which really just enhanced the experience. Being that it was outside, we opted for disposable plates, cutlery, bar ware etc. I must say that the quality and aesthetic of what was provided complemented the delicious meal they had prepared and just completed the whole evening. Now a bit of business: had a walk through a week or so prior to discuss set up and flow, which really helped because I didn't have any idea as to how or where. Buckle down, it's going to be a long one... I found Casey & Lisa through Yelp, and to be fair, I'd made a list of some of the well-reviewed caterers in the area. I'm also very familiar with two of our areas most popular options. What really sets 805 Catering apart is their personal attention and care. They were the first caterers I called, and despite my due diligence of calling down the list, I knew IMMEDIATELY I was going to work with them. (I even told my husband the second I hung up the phone, "That's it; we're done. I've got the food covered." He asked about the cost, and I said, "Doesn't matter; it feels right. And from conversation, it'll be worth it, and reasonable at the least.") Though we were planning sadly for a memorial service, the event couldn't be more beautiful in every way. From the planning stages to the cleanup, the Chandlers and their team were professional, caring, kind, and flexible. It's difficult to plan numbers since people don't normally RSVP for funerals, but we asked for heavy appetizers for a timeframe that would feel like lunch - without breaking the bank. The Shrimp and Grits were amazing, and it took about 3 rounds for me to even get some because they couldn't keep it stocked. The team finally got me my own plate because I was floating/hosting. Casey even kept me hydrated when he overheard that I was so parched from visiting with everyone. Lisa and I clicked so well that the introductory walk-through of our venue felt like I'd already worked with them extensively. In all our conversations, they were compassionate about the stress we were experiencing and the type of event being planned. I've been meaning to write this review for a few weeks now. All I can say is that 805 Catering was amazing! I had a small catered event for a customer and didn't have time to go through tastings, etc. I relied on their rating and I was not disappointed. The event occurred on one of those torrential downpour days and the first call I got in the morning was from Casey informing me they might be a little late due to the weather...well, they weren't and were patient and professional when I couldn't get access to the building we were using. It was my first time meeting them and it was like I'd known them for years. They were very down to earth and organized, the set up went smoothly and they had the cutest seasonal decor for their buffet table. I had forgotten about dessert so I'd stopped at Porto's, and they immediately said, I don't know what's in that bag but I already like it. They weren't off put that I'd brought other food in for the event, which made me feel better about the mix up and their food was impeccably flavored and delicious! Think high end restaurant delivered to your venue. I can't recommend them enough! And if I'm ever to throw another event in their service area, I'll certainly be ordering from them again! I can't say enough about 805 Catering Company! Having Casey & Lisa cater my mother's memorial last month was like having family members in my kitchen! During the planning process they were extremely accessible and communicative, and Casey's suggestions for food - after listening to the sort of event I imagined, and giving me some ideas of his own - were perfect! They had two food stations and passed five other appetizers. All of our guests raved about how delicious it all was!!! A couple of weeks before the event, Casey & Lisa came to my house to assess the kitchen and serving areas. That was a big help to me, and made me feel confident that they had things under control. The day of the memorial, they arrived on time - along with Gina, Jake and Lucas. They were all so warm, personable and professional. Each of them was present when needed, but respectful and quiet when the serious part of the afternoon came around. When friends & family arrived with desserts, they accepted them for us, pulled platters from my cupboards and displayed them all. And when we prematurely invited our guests into the living room before we got the champagne poured, Casey jumped right in. They poured and served while our guests got situated. Neither of those tasks was in our contract, but they didn't hesitate to help that afternoon in so many unexpected ways. They left the place impeccably clean and weren't at all in a rush to get done. Amazing! My boss hired their service for his retirement party and boy were we impressed! The bbq pork sliders were melt in your mouth along with the tuna tartare. The bahn mi appetizers are soo good, the salmon cooked to perfection, and the shorts ribs are incredible! Everyone at our party absolutely loved the food. To say I am picky when it comes to food and event execution would be a massive understatement. I contracted with 805 Catering Company for a work event last night, and everything was pitch perfect. From the initial contact, menu planning, site walk though, and day of execution, Casey and Lisa were amazing. The food was top notch, they do no mess around!!! We had bulgogi sliders, Greek chicken skewers, crab cake bites, a cheese plate, and hummus with chips and crudities. The sliders had a great balance of sweet and spicy. They must have to go to LA for the buns, because you simply (sadly) cant get anything like that in this area. The crab cakes were certainly more crab that cake, and were perfectly seasoned. The hummus was lovely with just the right amount of garlic. Casey picked a Sauvignon Blanc and and Petite Sirah for us that paired beautifully with the food. We hired 805 (Casey and Lisa) to cater my wife's 50th hosted at our house for 70 guests. They met with us several times and put together a very comprehensive and reasonably priced proposal. We needed both gluten free and vegan options for a few of the guests. The day of, they arrived with a team of very professional staff for food and bar service. Everything was well organized and ran without any worries. Appetizers included melon bites with feta fresh mint and balsamic fig glaze, Ahi poke crisps and hummus & crudités. We selected a stationed buffet that included lemon parmesan green beans, grilled Portobello caps and the most AMAZING prime tri-tip with a chimichurri sauce. As guest were sitting down for dinner the bar staff poured wine and water. As folks finished, plates were cleared, cleaned and prepped for the rental company to pick up. The kitchen and BBQ was spotless when everything was finished. 805's food, service and accommodations the day of were above and beyond our expectations.
