I was desperate. I had important meetings in Los Angeles and rented a house on the beach in Malibu for the weekend. I wanted to do something nice. I looked up "Malibu and Seaside and Chef" and found Gina Clarke, the Malibu Seaside Chef! I really wanted a nice beach lunch for my clients on a Saturday. I called Gina and had a conversation. She was very open to my ideas and then added JUST the touch I was looking for. She's a long-time Malibu resident and really knows her town! She lives on the beach and she really translated her experience of living on the beach in Malibu into an absolutely delicious dinner and memorable experience. Try her Gina-ritta! There's a margarita named after her at the famed, Nobu Malibu. She has a wide variety of foods and diets that she can cook as well, which was helpful. She suggested a time switch for my party that was EPIC - suggesting an earlier time to take advantage of the low tide in front of the house that day. Her staff were on point and really blended into the afternoon perfectly. The food was absolutely delicious, beautiful presentation, great portions, super timing, good flow and done by a trained professional chef and her staff. After having to re-plan almost an entire wedding from La Jolla to Malibu Beach, CA, we could not have been more pleased with Malibu Seaside Chef and Chef Gina. This beautiful lady has communication skills like most executives with whom I have worked. She called or texted me from her dinner at restaurants, on dates with her husband and even Mexico on holiday. Now to the best part.......I never worried about a detail with Chef Gina. She had it all covered and even ran to the store to fetch trash bags b/c the house supply ran out. Now that's service. I had guest after guest approach me about here hors d'oeuvres and they swamped me about the quality of the dinner. I honestly was surprised how many people came up to me and complimented the food. I was delighted to hear that. I couldn't have asked for a more PERFECT afternoon and evening. Her bartenders and servers were sooooo good too! The last bartender took me around and ensured that there were no traces of their presence, which was a pleasant surprise to me. They left the premises in immaculate condition and that was important to me, since I put down a substantial down payment on the residence. Well done Chef Gina and team. Last weekend my team and I were treated to the work retreat of a lifetime in Malibu...little did we know what an impact this stunning Chef and her crew would have on us! The night we arrived there were cocktails and I had a specific request they couldn't accommodate - the next day Gina made a trip to the store and came back with exactly what I had asked for, as well as honey for my coffee. I felt so seen and so very special. Three meals each day along with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres seemed to be curated just for me! I remember being so sad on our last night because it would be the last dinner from Gina that I would have...and she did not dissapoint...Osso Buco with creamy Risotto that tasted so good I didnt want to swallow, just hold it there in my mouth and savor the taste and textures for eternity! Now I'm drooling. As a Mom of 6, I'm used to being the one in the kitchen cooking and serving everyone. Gina and her crew made me feel like a Queen for the weekend. An experience I will take with me for years to come. We will be back in California this Summer and I have my fingers crossed that we will see the one and only Malibu Seaside Chef again! read more

I decided to spend my Christmas vacations in a warm place and Malibu seemed like a great option. We live in Madrid, Spain and it was the first time my children, 5 and 8, were travelling outside Europe so my wife and I wanted to show them the local cuisine but without losing sight of the food they are used to. A friend that lives in Venice recommended me to talk to Gina, the Malibu Seaside Chef. As soon as I explained her what we were looking for, she offered a wide arrange of options and, to my surprise, she was very acquainted with spanish food such as gazpacho, tortilla de patatas, pulpo, etc...We spent a week in Malibu and after coming back to Spain my kids don't stop asking when is Gina coming to cook for us! The food was great, she showed us a lot of different local dishes that we didn't even know existed but the best is that she was great with the two little ones and she made us feel like home! Gina is absolutely amazing! She was easy to work with and extremely talented. She made a personalized 3 course dinner for my 40+ wedding and it was one of the best meals I have ever had. Gina has a very relaxed demeanor and was very attentive to all of my requests. She was readily available by email, phone call, or text. Gina, Bryan, and Cintia were absolutely phenomenal! They hosted a private event over 3 or 4 days for our entire team. They cooked us breakfast, lunch, dinner, cocktails, etc. and they just killed it. Not only was the food world class, but they felt like friends right off the bat. They matched the vibe seamlessly. ALSO I've been vegan for over 5 years PLUS I can't eat wheat. Not only were they able to accommodate those extremely challenging limitations, but the food was some of the best vegan eats I've had. We were all so impressed. Gina created the most beautiful and delicious meal for our mother daughter wine weekend in Paso Robles. She's delightful and fantastic. She greeted me with a pretty raspberry mojito and she fed us all night long. Charcuterie, small bites, salad, roasted chicken, halibut, grilled veggies, smashed potatoes, and extra surprises. Everyone was beyond satisfied and thrilled. It took the pressure off of us cooking or dining out with a large group.
