I drop by here occasionally if I shopping or eating in the plaza but it is A-OK for something small or you are an Aeroplan point collector!

I can't comment on every single department or any of their installation services, but just in terms of the retail store - staff helpfulness & friendliness, in-stock levels, fairly clear & well maintained aisles, well chosen skid drop locations - they just seem to do a better job. Most recently I bought an Air Conditioner here and some weather stripping & insulation products. Noticed how the bulky HVAC products were all displayed in the spacious front part of the store for easy access by dolly or hand-truck and short run to the checkout & parking lot (whereas at Wicksteed they're split up with some AC's in the middle section where you'd have to bring them through aisles...). It helps that there often seems to be less of a crowd here. But I suspect part of that is due to customers being helped more promptly and competently both on the sales floor and at checkout.

Why NEVER to buy an appliance from Home Depot !!…read more We recently purchased an LG washer and dryer set from the Home Depot on Ellesmere Road in Toronto. We wanted an GE profile which has features such as "deep fill" for the water level, but were told that this model is not available in Canada due to the trade war. Fine. we were sold an LG set washer model WT6105CM as being it's equivalent. It certainly is NOT ! The settings include "deep fill" but only allows a corresponding setting of "deep wash" (not normal or delicate, etc.). there is no soaking feature... After we ruined, a large load of delicate items turned into rags, we were explained to never use deep wash as this setting is very abrasive and intended for the washing of construction clothing and the like. Returning to the Home Depot with the damaged clothing, we were told that we only had 24 hours to return the appliances (never previously alerted to...) An LG technician who was dispatched several weeks later after we had made a half dozen visits to Home Depot to get the issue resolved, explained that the "deep wash" on this model is a "never to be used setting other than for construction level dirt cleaning" he also disclosed that he buys all his appliances from Costco, which has a 90 day return policy (including for appliances) versus Home Depot's ridiculous 24 hours. The technician was very sympathetic to the issue. We had with these enforced settings and took photos of the ruined clothes. We continue to turn our towels and sheets into shreds when setting a deeper water level. The LG dryer DLE 6100 M also has default settings likely designed by a man... At dry level "normal" say for bath towels, it restricts the temperature to "medium heat" and won't allow the "high heat" setting so you have to run it TWICE! !A Home Depot supervisor suggested [after the fact) to only buy machines with basic settings that are all owner controlled . After months of frustration, wasted time and effort trying to deal with different departments and "managers" at both Home Depot and LG we have received ZERO satisfaction, nor compensation for damages caused by 1. the failure to disclose that it is not compatible with the GE profile model and 2. A policy requiring the consumer to return major appliances within 24 hours of purchase in contrast to 90 day return policies at stores such as Costco . YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !

Went to Davis Drive location today to pickup a watering can, most certainly would never go again to…read morethis location. My husband and I had come strait from the gym, therefore I wasn't even carrying a purse. We picked up the watering can and a shopping basket, picked up a few bags of liquorice, as we walked around a small area much like a dollar shop, there was a rack with sunglasses with a sign staying they were all $5 a pair. I asked a young guy who worked there if that was the price as they had stickers stating various prices. He said yes, they are all $5, only then did we feel a woman in a home hardware uniform following inches behind us, I asked if we were in her way, she said no she wanted to make sire we knew the price! yet she was standing right there when had asked. Then everything we looked at i.e., ($1.25' or $1.50, items etc, ) there she was. she even followed us when we went to pay 'another cashier' so I said "Are you the manager"? she said "oh no I'm a cashier". people, Home Hardware is no Holt Renfrew, plus section we were in was like a dollar shop. We would never ever go to this location again, we'll stick to Home Hardware on Wellington Street in Aurora from now on. Upsetting behaviour, if she's titled herself as SECURITY then at least take off the bright red uniform, pathetic individual.

I live nearby and it has saved me hopping in the car and going to Home Depot or similar. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I have also found the odd thing here that is sold out elsewhere (Ie like cleaning goods) too, fyi. Always great to shop local and help keep those small businesses alive too! :) FYI, you can look online and see if the item is in stock before you head over.

The service is very personal and the staff is great. Even for small things they make the effort to please you and smile. If they don't have something in stock they are genuinely sorry and apologize for it. Then they order it for you. More than once I have seen them carrying goods to a customers car and refuse the offered tip. This is all pretty amazing since the owner is based in his other store except for one day a week. He has made excellent choices in his staff!
