We also save $1750 on our insurance policy yearly. The 13 windows and a 4 panel wall slider took 2 days to install, and the crew cleaned up without a trace. I called JVR as the products are still under warranty, but JVR did not want to come out without me paying a $175 service call fee. When I inquired further, the "warranty" does not stay with the home where the windows/doors are installed, but, instead, stays with the original homeowner who purchased the windows/doors. Decided to go with JVR after going through multiple consultation/ estimate meetings with other companies. We chose JVR because they had the best reputation based off of our conversations with multiple neighbors who had their windows installed by them and we felt confident after speaking to the owner, Joe, that they would deliver exactly what we were expecting out of the project. We ordered our windows sometime in April and had them installed in June, so the wait time was not too bad! On the first day of install we were greeted by a crew of about 8 men and were surprised to see how quickly they got through our house, (we have multiple sliding glass doors and windows and even had them close a few windows for us to better suit our future projects). I spoke with what seems like countless companies before making the decision to work with JVR for my big investment. Wow! I am so glad I did! Everyone I worked with was kind, compassionate, professional, and highly skilled in their role. His knowledge of impact windows & doors is excellent and he was present, taking care of us, throughout the entire process. The installation team is superb. I have used j VR in the past with no problems. And no hassles. They did a great job. Installing, and everything came in a timely manner as they said it would. I use them again. But I was NOT told it's gonna take 6 months. If I was told that I would Have used someone else. Finally, after 6 months of waiting, The installers did a great job. Everything was working well. The windows open with my pinky finger and slid on its own. Everything was nice and neat but did not tell me that there was a defective glass window. I thought it was just handprints that they just forgot to wash that one window. I finally went to wash my windows a month later to find out. That window is defective. I ended up calling JVR about the problem, but they told me about it that they had it on order. They had the manufacturer repair guys to come and replace the glass and the slider, I tried it out before they left . I had to use my Palm and alot of effort to open and closed but the window jumped up in order to close,theres a gap 1/4 inch from the bottom to no gap on top,sure they tried to solve it but did not . The excuses I got was the felt was new and the right side of frame is crooked and blamed the installers.so the installers came and tried to make it slide better and get rid of the gap before the window shuts,so now the slider shows half of the black felt the window looks crooked cuz of that ,the rest of the windows in the house look even and no felt showing So now I'm waiting for the JVR rep to come and see I paid good money and a long wait. I want it to be right just like the other windows ,no excuses. This is to be continued I'm sure .Hopefully good news read more

I needed to replace my windows with impact ones as the old ones would not fare well in a hurricane. I got a quote with this company. Their timeframe was fine but they had poor installers that ruined all my trim and they caused a water leak in my office that they refuse to take responsibility for. They stated they never informed me about the leak because they were afraid of my reaction. I found the leak days after they left. I would highly recommend not using this company for any work. The installers also littered all over my house and damaged one of the doors and refused to fix it. read more

Buying windows through JVR is one of my biggest regrets. Upon installation, one window arrived with broken glass and every window had the glue on colonial grids falling off. If you need the window grids, do not buy CGI windows. I have had people come out 3 different times to reglue them over the past 10 months. After install, two of the windows were leaking. Water was coming into the windowsill and mold was forming. When I called JVR about the issue, the woman on the phone tried to convince that water coming in was expected behavior. She used the analogy of when a car is submerged in water, it doesn't prevent the water from coming in. I had to argue with her that preventing water from coming in when it rains, was most definitely expected behavior and she reluctantly agreed to let a service person come out and take a look. This was a lengthy phone conversation of me arguing in disbelief before she agreed to schedule the service. If you expect your windows to prevent water from entering you home, do not use JVR. To get staff to come out to reglue those grids, I had to email 10+ times before anyone would reply. Very hard to get a response. JVR also likes to cancel last minute. The night before my install started, they called and said it would be delayed a day. After I had already arranged to be off work. So instead of 2 days off work, it ended up being 3 because the installation of 7 windows took 2 days. The day before the city inspection, they also called saying the permit had expired and they needed to redo it so the inspection was cancelled. Again, this was already after I had arranged to be off work. I would definitely not recommend purchasing from JVR or purchasing CGI windows based on my experience. Although it was hard to get someone from JVR to fix the issues, the staff that did come were the nicest most helpful people. Everyone of them from JVR and CGI were great people and definitely recognized the leak issue was an issue and tried different glue to thoroughly make the repairs. The issues were with the staff within the office, and the quality of the windows and install job, not the service employees, those guys I would highly recommend. read more

I had the entire condo done. It was a 4 day job. For the most part, everything went as well as can be expected. Perfect? No, thats a tall order but what mattered most was their willingness to correct the small issues. ( my glass table top accidentally got broken and wrong color window sills were put in). The guys doing the work-Remy Brandon and Carlos were respectful, neat and hardworking. The city inspector came in yesterday and told me only JRV and one other company gets the highest inspection rate. They passed with flying colors! I would recommend to anyone. read more

Initially we were thrilled with our JVR hurricane/turtle windows and up until recently had no complaints. Unfortunately, one of our windows cracked and thankfully it was found by our property manager. He sent pictures since we're not back down there until next month. I contacted JVR immediately & sent the pictures. I was told they would order new & call when ready for installation. They called and installation was scheduled for Friday, September 1st. Unfortunately, I received a call from Bobbie Jean less than 24 hours prior to installation to be told they wouldn't be installing the window as originally planned due to them not scheduling enough crew to carry windows & people were off for the holiday. She promised to contact me to reschedule after the holiday weekend. Due to the fact that we have to count on our property manager needing to be available at time of installation I wanted to give him plenty of notice & decided to call & save Bobbie Jean the hassle of calling me. She answered & was rude - telling me she's been busy & just hasn't had time as a (large) did barked in the background. I was told she would call me back later that day to schedule. I didn't hear that day or Wednesday but was afraid to call again after the conversed had on Tuesday. Just before end of business I hadn't heard back so I called her again hoping to schedule installation- to no avail. At this point I was frustrated & sent an email to Bobbie Jean telling her of my frustrations. Bobbie Jean responded telling me how she understood & that it wasn't an ideal situation & that the company was doing me a favor so I wouldn't incur an additional cost. I will mention that up to now I was never advised of any charges to be paid by me. I didn't hear back to reschedule until Thursday, September 7th when I received an email from 'JVR Service' with a date & time for installation as well as saying that I would owe $600 installation fee that had to be paid at the time of installation & my options for payment....keeping in mind that an installation fee had never been mentioned when original installation date on 9/1/23 " that Bobbie Jean said she was saving us from incurring any cost!! Now I'm more frustrated & now also confused - curious as to why suddenly there's an associated fee never mentioned previously. I then requested a copy of my contract (as mine is in Florida) to see if this newly mentioned $600 fee was mentioned. Billie Jean sent an email saying she was informed I wanted a copy of my contract & to see attached. No mention if she could be of any further assistance, etc. I'm very disappointed as prior to now everything had gone fairly seamlessly. Please help me understand this previously unmentioned $600 fee came from & why it was never mentioned before initial installation date of 9/1/23. Yesterday I noticed one of the stationary door panels getting loose and called JVR this morning to arrange for a repair. Sadly, the installation wasn't complete until over 6 months later on Nov 28, 2018. I had a very hard time getting anyone to provide an update about the root cause or severity of the delay.
