You could drive for 30 minutes and still not see everything! We stopped by on a weekday and the park was pretty and relaxing. Not too many people on the couple of trails we did. The observation tower is closed but they still have a nice boardwalk up to that area that makes for a great walk! It's pretty highly elevated for Florida - kind of impressive in person! Entry is $6 per car, and the lady provided a map and recommended her favorite trail. We checked that trail out as well (the white trail), but the height of the observation tower trail was really the star! We decided to drive around after doing both trails, and we saw their campgrounds. So surprising at how busy this place was! It seemed there was hardly an empty spot! Must be a happening place to camp! We'd definitely return for more adventures, as this is a cool park!

There's overlooks and and an endless supply of trails to choose. I will definitely be back with some chairs and hoping for some quiet time to myself. The environment is so unique here you feel like you're in a different country at times.

Scorching sun but only a ten minute boat ride to the island where hundereds of boats were anchored. We anchored the boat 10 feet from the edge of the island and floated on rafts in the hip deep clear water. The edge is rocky so dive boots highly recommended. The current was strong and other nearby boats merged into one another so you must stay alert or get squashed. No aquatic life observed. Walked around the island and noticed the garbage cans were overflowing, so not really sure who manages the island. A few picnic tables and public bathrooms deeper into the island. Small wildlife can be seen in the heavy brush. Fun time but bring sunscreen, water and snacks.

We were expecting to just come and stay and drive back and forth to help them move into their new place. Wow this campground city park is awesome! So far we love everything about it! Love the lake they have next to the park! The campground is super clean and well organized! Bathroom, showers and laundry rooms were clean and no issues. Campground is very quiet. All the staff have been super friendly even when making the reservations and checkin at security gate upon arrival. Added note: they have a security gate that requires a code to enter. Guest can come and visit us for the day at no additional charge. We are so glad we made reservations here for the week and we will definitely be back when come back and visit our daughter. Next time we will bring our Ebikes and do some exploring around this HUGE park.

They have gorgeous lakeside spots that they limit to 2 weeks only so that helps the Floridians have a spot when the northerners travel and its hard for us to find spots. They are very strict with campers and info. You have to take a photo of the little thing on side of RV that shows its been approved by someone , they charge extra per day for a 2nd car as well. They have awesome trails to walk in, they have a boat ramp that is limited to a 20" boat. The staff is super friendly. My only complaint is how close you have to get to the keypad to punch in the code. I wish they would have that stick out more so you dont have to get so close to the cement to enter code

The palms were bent in the wind with their frons embracing the green coconut's husk as a gecko clung to the vines that strung across its trunk in rhythm with the gull's screeching songs as they glide in search of their next snack. They say these are the perfect days and they may be for most but I consider myself an in-perfectionist so the foot prints that stain the sand and the confusing weaves of the man-groves that border the dunes providing shelter for the innocent creatures is what stirs me. I love that the product here is it's beautiful and that could never disappoint, I'm sure there were others here but that never distracted my focus so let this place overwhelm your senses and hydrate your soul. If you're here for the day embrace your fortune, if only for a moment then take your communion or penance because this place can change you - the ocean is tranquil, some say zen but that's above my pay grade I just came here to take in the phenomenon of nature...

The boardwalk was closed for repairs so we had to walk thru the sand with our stuff (coolers etc). Part of the beach was on a small like hill, you had to jump down to get towards the water which was annoying. The beach was filled with seaweed. I did like there was a lifeguard on duty. It wasn't crowded for a Sunday. Probably won't be back to this one.
