    Quesadilla, Italian-style

A tad pricey, but nice place to relax and have drinks and bites. I was downtown and had a couple hours between events, and was looking for a place to do a bit of laptop work. I think I initially popped into JW to stop by Starbucks, but the lobby bar caught my eye. True to name, it is part lobby/part bar. There's a variety of seating choices - couches, high tables, dining tables. There's a fair amount of plug access as well and ultimately decided I wanted some food, so sat myself at high table near the bar and plugged in. During my time there, I ordered two glasses of wine and several appetizers. My only pet peeve was the item names; simplified to a single word, ordering by name felt a bit silly, haha. I had the quesadilla, which is a stack of small quesadillas reimagined with Italian ingredients. A bit messy, but tasty. The shellfish was pricier but was pretty large! Good to share with larger group. It consisted of popcorn shrimp and some decent-sized chunks of lobster. Service was good - attentive, but not overly so as I was working on my computer. Free public Wi-Fi. A splurge compared to typical Internet cafe, but was nice to indulge. Was quiet and fairly empty when I arrived, got noisier as day turned into Friday night and more folks filtered into hotel, but not bad.

I really enjoyed my visit to the Lobby Bar at the JW. It has some cozy corners, some tall tables or get social at the bar top. They have a great cocktail list with some really good drinks. We ordered some with fresh ingredients (herbs, fruit) and they tasted excellent. The service was on par and timely. We didn't order any food, so I can't really speak to the menu. I'd definitely grab a drink here again.

I paid the $8 to upgrade the mac to lobster mac...so delicious & so worth it (the upgrade was so unnecessary but so necessary, iykyk!). I also love that they allow you to mix & match on the sliders (filet, fried shrimp, or wagyu beef with Brie). I went with 1 filet and 1 wagyu beef, which was also perfect! Would love to try the fried shrimp at some point. The accompanying aiolis perfectly complemented the sliders! I completed my meal with a lemon drop martini. Service was friendly & attentive. Will definitely keep this spot in mind the next time I return to Indy & would highly recommend to others. In fact, I found it superior to my experience @ Harry & Izzy's--much more my vibe!

The period atmosphere and ambience is absolutely intoxicating. This is a perfect starting place for pre-dinner cocktails, leading up to a fine dining experience at Saint Elmo's Steakhouse. The service was superb, friendly with plenty of recommendations on what to try. This venue gets my highest recommendation, and I very much look forward to a return visit, and hopefully to introduce some of my closest friends to this incredible experience.

We hardly saw our server despite there being plenty of staff and not many tables filled. We had we had to go to the host to ask for a carafe of water. The DJ was poppin and we really enjoyed the music. And the food was fantastic. The avocado toast was $17 and it was heaping with greens and avocado. I would definitely recommend. The two eggs meal came with four slices of bacon and some diced potatoes. At $18, it was not worth the price, but was still good. We could have made that at home for less than half the price. I got the orange mocktail and it was fantastic. The problem was I ordered another one and it never came. I guess the server forgot to put it in. My partner got the Morning Ritual and it was super tasty. 10/10 on the cocktails. I think we would have had a way better experience had we not been forgotten in the corner and baking in the sun. We were quite sweaty and ready to leave by the end. We asked for the check and waited 15-20 minutes for it. Probably would not come again.

In fact, they have five different spritzes on the menu, which I love to see. Of course, they have the classic Aperol spritz. But they also have some creative takes, like the rose spritz, which is what I chose. It was very tasty, light and refreshing, and not too floral, which can happen with a rose-flavored beverage. Spritzes are amazing but not enough sometimes, so I also got a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. Yum! The pour was generous. I kept my drink orders simple this visit, but Thieves has a whole menu full of creative cocktails. What you do when you enter is just sit down, and someone will come by and take your order. But if you're visiting for coffee (because Thieves is also a coffee bar), you can order at the counter. I don't recall if they offer food. This is mostly a place to get drinks. And it's a lovely place to get drinks. Thieves is located in the heart of Broad Ripple, which means that parking is atrocious.
