When we arrived at the hotel, the lobby was pretty small and also doubled as a jewelry shop. As of for the room, it was very small, but well kept. The room included a flat screen TV fixated to the wall, two queen beds and bathroom with a bidet and water heater attached to the shower. There's also an AC unit and electric fan installed on the ceiling of the room. Yes, it does get hot in the room. We were given a floor mattress to accommodate the fifth adult. There's not much walking area in the room, so navigating through the room will require some good balancing skills. With our 3 day and 2 night stay, breakfast was included everyday. You have the choices and combinations of pandesal (bread), hot dog, cornbeefsilog (cornbeef cooked with garlic & onions, garlic fried rice and sunny side up egg) and bangsilog (milkfish, garlic fried rice and sunny side up egg). Near the hotel are plenty of vendors and restaurants, so finding a place to eat is not a problem. Even though our room was cramped, we did enjoy our stay here.

We bought water shoes here after shopping around and here they were the cheapest. They didn't have size 10 though and had to find those elsewhere. The rooms are tiny. We were on the first floor and it was very noisy, not only from the street but from the neighboring hotel. I suggest not staying on the bottom floor. We had two beds in our room and it was very tight getting around. The TV is old and hard to operate. Extra pillows are "extra charge as are beach towels. The free breakfast you order the night before hand and is served until 9. It is always cold. Just rice, one egg and a meat. Very small portion. We left the AC on low one day while we were out and looked forward to coming back to a nice cool room but they came in and shut off our unit while we were out. There has to be better places to stay, but in a pinch this will do.

This airport is small and has daily flight schedules from Manila to Coron and vice versa. Since the airport is small, the planes are also small as well with at least 2-3 gates in the terminal. The main airlines that fly through here are AirAsia, Cebu Pacific and PAL (Philippine Airlines). The runway is pretty short too so be prepared for quick takeoffs and whiplash inducing hard stops when landing. There are a decent number of restaurants (coffee shop, Chinese dim sum and a Jamaican patty restaurant) and at least 3 souvenir stores. My big gripe with this airport is that they seriously need to invest in air conditioning. Large fans just won't cut it especially during prime summer months. Check in with your specific airline what the baggage weight limit is. For domestic PAL flights the weight limit is 32 kg = 70 lbs per checked baggage. Check in and security was swift and we had settled in under 30 minutes.

From the air, I was shocked to see how tiny the landing strip was on the countryside. Thanks to our pilot, we arrived safely and deplaned onto the tarmac. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted inside the small lobby and directed to baggage claim. Before exiting, be ready with your cash/change, as you are expected to pay 100 pesos as an environmental fee. Outside, the parking lot is small, so there will be drivers asking what hotel you're staying at. Most hotels provide pick up service. It would be a good idea to pre-arrange your transportation. When we returned for our flight back to Manila, you'll approach customs immediately and then to your airline for check-in. It was quite a long line, so arrive early. There's a cute little cafe and souvenir shop, with an upstairs seating area. The coffee was wonderful and I also ended up buying a t-shirt further down for 300 pesos. Visiting Coron was one of the highlights of our 2.5 week stay in the Philippines. Highly recommend!

Reyes Airport ( or more commonly known as Busuanga Airport) is a small domestic airport in Coron, Palawan. It only has one terminal and the airport isn't open 24 hours. No WiFi. The business hours are 6:00a to arrival of last flight. Flight CEB to USU: We arrived in Coron around 8:45a. Immediately after deplaning we made our way inside the single terminal. No need to walk far for our luggages because as soon as we entered the building the baggage claim is to the left. We exited the terminal to find our driver waiting to pick us up and drop us off to our hotel. Flight USU to MNL: We had another early flight at 7:10a but for some reason my family wanted to be at the airport early because we still had to check-in in person. We arrived around 5:00a but the airport wasn't operational yet until 6:00a. The terminal was open but we were told to wait in a waiting room. Looks like we weren't the only early birds, though. The staff cater to your every need, and enjoy doing it. It's a family friendly resort with free water activities (fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding), a pool, beach, and excursions you can book through the hotel. The rooms are clean, large and the beds are so friggin' comfortable it's hard to get out of them! My family and I stayed in Villa 1. They have a kitchenette with an induction oven, but nothing to cook with. When we asked for a pan, they actually room our food and cooked it for us (mind you we were just warming up leftovers). You can get breakfast included, which is a plated meal. It was very tasty. We ate at the Pavilion Restaurant several times and everything we had was delicious. Although it's hard not to, don't fill up on the fresh warm bread they give you. Added bonus is the great house music always playing at the restaurant, except when they have talented musicians serenade you. Wish I didn't have to leave!
