I think it was 1200php/pax, they'll set us up on a joiner group tour of 3 beach islands. I forgot the first island that we went to, but the other two was Banana island and Malcapuya island. All three were very nice. A buffet lunch was provided at Banana island. We had a tour guide who was very nice and very knowledgeable. Even showed us where the giant clam sanctuaries were. I enjoyed the island beach tour a lot. It's more of a relaxed type of tour,, you can swim if you like. There's snorkeling if you wanna see fishies and corals. Plus the white sand beaches are just above everything else. So make sure you bring a waterproof camera and a giant memory card cause you'll be taking tons and tons and tons of pictures. I had a lot of fun doing the tour. The staff is really good and the guide was awesome. BTW, if you need to rent equipment, it's either they have it or they take you to a spot where you can rent it. However, during our second day, the personnel from their management did not arrange our tour properly. During our first day, we requested for seafood and for the same tour guide, they said yes, but did not do it during the 2nd day. They gave false promises to us. Also, we booked a private tour (meaning we are paying more than the typical package tour) but it felt like the treatment they did is not worth the price we paid. During the second day, we waited many hours for our boat and our package tour sched was too tight that we cannot savor our stay from one island to another. Of course we complained to them immediately after. They apologized and explained that their management is a little disorganized lately due to the lack of managers. We hope that by this time, they have already fixed their internal problem to avoid this incident to other tourists. We traveled on May 2017

For snorkelers, views are limited to the front of the ship. If you prefer to explore more of the ship, you'll have to dive deeper with scuba gear. This is a dive spot geared towards the intermediate and experienced so you'll need the required certification level as the average depth is about 35-43 meters. This shipwreck is only accessible via boat. The outrigger we came in from our excursion package got us there. The waters are relatively calm, warm and comfortable. The marine life and views of this sunken ship are sights to behold!

It took 15 minutes from the airport to the port and 40 minutes by boat from port to the resort. Service from the airport driver, boat greeter/guide, reception, housekeeping and restaurant staff at Sinag restaurant gave very attentive, friendly and speedy service. We had dinner at Sinag. They served a complimentary basket of two flavors of pan de Sal (plain and malunggay). Oh my goodness! We could have had 20 of these. They were soft, freshly baked and fluffy. Then, we ordered kare-kare, Bacolod sinugba grilled pork belly, ube coconut shake, turon and ube ice cream. Their food presentation is so lovely and authentic. The kare-kare was probably the best we've had. Several plates of veges and peanuts were brought in with a clay pot and mixed with oxtail and sauce tableside. I thought the little rice pots were charming. Reminded me of the larger versions we had during my childhood. The sinugba was good. The ube coconut drink was delicious and the desserts were phenomenal. Now, as to our room, it was a garden view on the 2nd floor and the concrete steps were very steep. There were probably 40 steps in all. We were panting by the time we got to our room.

Complimentary treats are delicious as well. We had a dinner scheduled at 5:30pm for a party of 12. Upon arrival, the table setting was different than advertised photos but still was gorgeous and on the actual beach which was what we wanted. We received menus to the grill even though we were told we were able to pick from a menu which had a more Western fusion theme. This was unexpected as well, but we put in drink orders and food orders. Unfortunately there were many bugs flying around us, significantly more than usual. An hour later we had no drinks or food, it was getting dark, and so we decided to get up and ask to all move to the actual restaurant part to make it easier for them. We finally received our drinks which now had melted ice and our coconuts were lukewarm. Then the salads came (included in the meal), it was an embarrassment of a salad. Something even worse than what you would see in a school cafeteria, incredibly overcooked chicken and a measly portion. The soup (also included) followed which tasted like instant soup (think grocery store Benihana's dupe) and had undercooked mushroom chunks. I ordered the ribs which was dry but the flavor was good, especially because I was starving at this point. My friend next to me ordered the salmon which was so overcooked it resembled a brick. It was also interesting to us that now that we had complained and were visibly upset that now the staff decided to be attentive. We received complimentary mango cheesecakes for their bad service. It reminded me of something you'd find at costco and I felt it had little to no mango flavor. Unfortunately this mid tier dessert was the general consensus to be the best part of the meal since everything else was greatly disappointing. Day 2: My friend woke up with heat exhaustion so I called the front desk to get more water, ice and a thin sheet since there's only a thick comforter on the beds. No answer so I went to the front desk and they said housekeeping can bring it to me and I can go to the restaurant. I got water and ice at the restaurant fine and the manager said they could bring housekeeping stuff over to my room. After initially telling housekeeping around 7:20am and a manager at 7:30am. I came back to my room to call housekeeping to followup and they said they'd be there immediately and it seemed front desk and manager did not communicate my needs to them. Housekeeping did not come until 8:15am, about an hour from when I initially asked. Lack of communication and urgency after I told two employees my friend was sick was concerning. Spent some time at the beach and tried some American food and drinks. Those parts were nice. Day 3: Spent some time at the beach and exploring the resort. Wish it was easier to order food/drinks to and from lounging areas or that there were more bars/restaurant options. Cheddar bacon apple sandwich was nice. Drinks were strong, highly recommend only ordering off the menu because venturing from it causes subpar drinks. Also, was surprised to see a "clean" beach towel I received was COVERED in brown and black stains. I also received a "clean" towel from housekeeping smeared in black stains. For dinner, we tried the sinig restaurant and it was delicious. Great service and amazing selection/wide variety. Especially loved their boodle fight and dessert options. Got back to our room to find a stench eminating from the bathroom because the water here is potent. After a while you can tell the water is green so be careful. Day 4: Had to see the doctor and he was very helpful. Spent some more time taking photos and relaxing around the resort. Had dinner again at Sinag which was really lovely. Staff at sinag was very accommodating and helpful. The food was great. Laing and the salted egg bibingka were definitely my favorite Day 5: Checkout was a breeze and there was a slight delay to our boat ride back. Luckily they were able to take us closer to get us on a van ride that was shorter to the airport. Complimentary sweet treats were great as well. Overall, beautiful location. Lots of wildlife in the actual resort; snorkeling, sea turtles, large lizards at breakfast, and fruit bats hanging over the resort. Sinag was delicious and we loved the staff, but the other restaurant seemed subpar with a large party. Unfortunately, urgency and communication between staff seems lacking which caused great discomfort and disappointment within our party. Other customers at the resort were also unfriendly and we felt a hostile energy from them. Hoping they improve in the future.

It is very rare to find a hotel that is all around perfect when it comes to service, food and amenities. This hotel practically has it all. The experience from start to finish was simply flawless! For starters, the hotel was in constant communication with us from booking to departure and they also helped with coordinating travel. Their complementary breakfasts are amazing and the menu rotates daily. They have the best breakfast spreads I've experienced. Happy Hour is offered from 5-7pm on their 4th floor rooftop deck providing killer sunset views which by the way has not one, but two jet tub pools if you prefer to watch the sunset in water versus on the patio chairs. The rooms are clean, modern and the grounds are beautiful. They have on-site security guards which made me feel safe during our stay. They really put a lot of thought in the details of running a hotel chain. Staff was friendly, positive and professional making every moment of our trip memorable. That town is quite populous with both tourist and natives trying to service said tourist. There are lots of vehicles zooming around and lots of businesses all around so you can choose whereever or however you want to roll. You can do cheap or you can do expensive and more exclusive. I actually toured around so much in 3 days in Coron that by the last day there, I was exhausted. Which is why I am so glad I chose to move to this other part of the island to conclude my trip. La Estancia is on the other side of the island. Because the roads are narrow country roads, it took an hour and half to drive to this tucked in resort, even though it may only be 30 miles in distance. After you drive on country highways passing by lots of rural living, you'll then have to turn and drive on a dirt road for at least 20 minutes. You can't drive fast here, so this takes up much of the time. So this small resort is literally built on the edge of the island, in the middle of an island jungle setting. Once here you are not going to roam around and look for town activity. Well you can, but it won't make a lot of sense once you step onto their grounds. Once parked the jungle now becomes super manicured and designed like you have just landed on a fantasy island. Lush trimmed tropical fauna and exotic flowers wafts their scent through the warm air. Exotic birds chirp and play while large kaleidoscope-colored moths ride the warm breeze. By the outdoor reception area up on top, there is a small pool that is actually filled with filtered salt water. Which threw me off after trying it the next day but made sense as the sea was more within their reach than fresh water that you would have to apply chemicals to. The main building where all the rooms are, are down the hill at sea level. All room's front doors are facing the outdoors with a small porch. I had a room on the lowest level so when I gazed through the windows, the calm seawater was literally within feet of my window. A small beach with beach chairs and a hammock within steps of my front door. If you wanted to order/get something to eat or go to the pool, then you'd have to walk up the stone terraces to those designated areas. But from the room's view, the most spectacular and private I've ever experienced. There's definitely a catch to when you purposefully leave heavily trafficked areas and not be amongst the bulk of tourist. Now when you leave such areas, you will now also be in another world, a world saturated in nature, where live things live and roam and where the people don't try and exterminate everything due to being uncomfortable. The people who live in these parts simply learned to live with all the plants and animals that were here all along. So even though the room was super clean and stylish with a great and comfy bed; a small lounge near a window to sip on morning coffee to stare out onto your own private beach; a small but stylish bathroom; and a great A/C unit with remote control; no tv, so no extraneous noises. A person staying here will have to be able to accept that they are also still on a remote island setting. Simply said there may be tropical bugs/catepillar type things or small geckos that will inevitably be around, maybe into the rooms sometimes. Always with some distance like the corner of wall or on the side of a bathroom. I remember being a kid and just being around these natural occurrences. It wasn't until I lived in the U.S. where I found out that people really get freaked out by this stuff. So it is hard for me to depict this as I'm mostly communicating with an American mindset, but I also want to be transparent and let people know what comes with the territory...literally. But on my very relaxing stay here, I had a one day access to a boat ride where they took me to a few other islands (much less crowded than those near Coron), where we could snorkel, just lay on the beach and at lunch time they served up a lunch that they packed from the resort. Also able to kayak on the calm waters near the resort. And if you want to just do nothing and take a nap after a meal, there is no real itinerary to follow here, at least that's how I wanted my stay to unfold. So scan some pics, as words cannot do this place justice. Simply a stay I had not ever experienced, where I was so far away from the bustle and the mainstream, yet was catered to with a certain level that I normally don't put myself in. But you have to be able to accept and/or love a good dose of solitude, value a respect for nature and be able to appreciate tranquil beauty. I know many that can't handle this much quietness and peacefulness. #truth. I was blown away almost every minute of my stay. I accept the terms and will be back, hopefully sooner than later. I have scoped and mapped my tracks, return to Zen I will.

It is a nice getaway if you would like a Romantic time alone as a couple but you WILL NOT have any phone signal or WiFi while you're here . There's cool activities like fishing kayaking and private beach life but might as well do this somewhere more convenient . The people here are so nice and it's awesome that you get a buffet 3 times a day in beautiful locations , but lots of mosquitos , frogs and even snakes . Pool was very filthy , bugs plants and even frogs were inside . During our stay within 3 nights we had all these creatures Found ALL INSIDE OUR ROOM : worms, flies, mosquitos of course, giant ants , multiple small lizards, GIANT GECKOS that make creepy noises which is called TUCO in tagolog (THIS CREEPY GECKO came up TWICE two days in a row INSIDE our room), and even a mouse . I love the people working here who are all so sweet and customer service friendly but I'm sorry, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone especially if you aren't really into these exotic creatures roaming everywhere u are

The hotel had beautiful decorations and a breathtaking view and is right on the water (no it doesn't have a private beach but it was so pretty! Especially during sunrise or sunset) Don't skip out on their island hopping excursions they offer as well!
