They also let people in the store without masks on which made my shopping experience feel very unsafe. Multiple people I know have not gone back to this store because they heard employees judging them because of how they look, and assuming that they are stealing. The other great thing about the Pitt Meadows location is that it isn't usually as busy as others around my 'hood and the staff are generally more pleasant and accomodating than those at the Coquitlam Westwood location. If you are like me, you don't come to Pitt Meadows just for the Winners, but it's a great place to stop in for a little retail therapy if you happen to be catching a flick at Meadowtown Cinemas.

They used to be hidden behind the…read moreHome Depot just down the street so not very many people noticed this Canadian home and furniture store. I'm lucky enough to have a brother who asked me to design his new house's living room and entry hallway so I was glad to know the outlet for Urban Barn reopened just down the street in the newish Freemont shopping area in Port Coquitlam. The store is big enough to offer a good selection of contemporary furniture (they also have some Scandi and some MCM, which is more my style) for both homes and condos at reduced prices. As expected from an outlet, some of the furniture were floor models from their other stores so buyer beware; some have nicks and the colour selection is limited (when we were there, most of the furniture on the floor were beige and brown so not a very interesting display.) They also have a good selection of home decor (i.e. throw pillows, blankets) for reasonable prices, great for Christmas presents. Their delivery costs are reasonable at $135 (for up to 5 pieces of furniture) and new furniture come in every Wednesday and new decor every Monday. This store is a much better choice than the giant chain furniture stores and an acceptable alternative to higher end furniture stores.

Went into the new location for new sheets and drapes with a specific colour in mind. Since they had…read morea bedding set that closely resembled mine, I was hopeful of finding coordinating sheets. If not coordinated at least a close color match for the red. Unfortunately, they carry ONE set of sheets in red and they're only available in one size - queen! The majority of draperies were either black, grey, white, or blue. A few panels in purple and one burgundy; all being over 84" long! Deciding to take the easiest option the drapes were skipped and a set of black microfiber sheets were purchased. The girl at the register said explicitly, "absolutely no returns, refunds, or exchanges on bedding once the package has been opened". That should have been a warning to not buy them. Got home and put my new sheets into the machine (cold water, gentle cycle), then low setting tumble dry. Every stitch has tightened causing the edges to gather and one pillow case literally feel apart at the seams; can't be used at all. They're so thin you can see through them and any softness they had is long gone. Better quality sheets could have been purchased at their big box competition for a far better price. That's the first time I've been to JYSK in over a year, simply because a location was not convenient. The quality of product has plummeted to a level unmatched by any other local retailer and, based on the policy, they are well aware of that fact. Never, ever again!
