The person at 7th I was communicated with assured me the cars were reserved. However, roughly about a week before my trip, he tells me he's leaving and that I need to call in the office. Upon my calling, I find out that none of the cars are available. As you can imagine I was flabbergasted especially seeing all of the positive reviews. At first, I was told that the cars are never a guarantee. My issue however was why no one bothered to contact me to let me know the cars weren't available. Did they not have a log of upcoming bookings on their cars and if they did, did they not have an obligation to let the renter know if a car would not be available. Had I not called in, I would have flown all the way down from the Northeast and found out upon arriving. I was initially offered some other cars, but I told them I was not interested and just wanted my money back. The owner though was very accommodating and granted me a refund. First to vent my frustration, I was particularly looking forward to this trip because, for one I was very excited about the cars I was going to drive as all are very hard to find available for rent, I was planning on getting footage for my YouTube channel, and I was even planning to conduct an interview with the Management or Owner if available to promote their company and get views for my channel. I even expressed this to the first person with whom I communicated. So, as you can imagine I felt incredibly let down and still don't understand how not one not two but all three cars were not available, how no one told me, and how there seemed to be no knowledge that I was going to do them good with an interview and giving them positive coverage. In fact, I was wondering if that whole experience was actually a blessing in disguise because that was at that moment I thought to myself renting may not be worth it and maybe I should just buy my first exotic. But I digress... Now the good. The Owner was understanding and very quickly gave me my refund. The reason that this is a big deal is because I've seen past reviews of would-be renters having to fight back for their deposit. That however was not my experience. The Owner stood by his word and I am grateful for that. So, with that being said, I can say that 7th is an ethical company even if my rentals went south. Unfortunately, renting exotics is not like renting regular cars as they take more of a beating plus may not be as reliable since they are built more around performance, which is why availability can't be guaranteed. In fact, I had something similar happen in Vegas when I booked an Aventador SV but when I got there it was no longer there (actually this was different as they just got rid of the car and never told me). What I would like to see, not only from 7th but from all the exotic rental companies is logs on future bookings and then making contact if a car will no longer be available. Anyway, I may be going to Tampa again and certainly will be willing to give 7th another try.
