We purchased a Hayward pool heater from K&B Pools in May of 2024. Before our purchase we asked, Kayla Lassiter, the owner, if her company did the install and she told us yes...which we have in a text message. After we signed our contract and the heater arrived we were informed that they would place it on a concrete slab and connect the plumbing but they do not carry the license to do any electrical work or pull permits. This was deceitful on K&B...it took us until March of 2025 to find a licensed electrician familiar with pool heaters in our area to wire our heater. Once it was wired and our propane company connected the lines, we started the heater on April 4,2025. It immediately began to jump, vibrate and smoke! We called our electrician and he contacted K&Bpools immediately for us. Kayla Lassiter texted my husband on April 4,2025 and said she'd be out that afternoon...she never showed up. April 5,2025 after waiting all day, she texted at 3:00 pm to say she'd would not be out that day. We asked to be put on the schedule for the upcoming week and she replied "of course." K&B pools never contacted us that week. April 10th my husband went into the store and spoke with a store employee and was told Kayla would call us ASAP. We never heard from her. April 16th we texted her again telling her...this heater is under warranty and she said she was going to try to come out tomorrow. She never showed,called or texted. We took the day off. April 21,2025 was our last text to her and we told her we had spent 6500.00 on a pool heater that does not, has not and never has worked since we've owned it and she did not respond. On April 28,2025 we went back to the store to request K&B pick up the heater since it is still under warranty and refund us our money. The employee told us we could tell her our problem until"until we are blue in the face" but she can't do anything and she would relay the message to Kayla. As of today we have not heard from Kayla She is trying to let the warranty expire. They are unprofessional, deceptive and do not complete the project they are hired to do once you sign the contract and give them your money. If I could give a 0 star I would! read more

These folks are amazing! They installed my pool in May of 2019. Ever since then we have grown to know them as an extension of our family. From going in to have my water tested to replacing parts, they have always given excellent customer service. Anytime I have called and had to leave a message, Heather ALWAYS called me back in a timely manner. I had algae last year and Heather helped me knock it out quickly with her advisement of what to put in my pool. Crystal clear ever since. Today I went in to order another liner, we accidentally cut a hole in ours, Heather explained the new liners, the thickness, the quality and warranty to my understanding. I had gotten quotes from other pool companies and KB Pools price by far was the lowest!!Longtime customer and they will have my business as long as their doors are open!! read more

Very friendly (and talkative) folks, and they have everything you need for your pool. Literally, everything. I came in to find a replacement hose for my pool pump, and ended up coming back for chemicals later, because their prices were pretty darn good. I honestly can't rate them because they never showed up. The 1st time, they made me wait 10 days but were supposed to come on Monday; they didn't come. I found out on Tuesday they were closed on Mondays. The manager Kayla had set the appointment and acted as if she hadn't realized the problem. Mistakes happen, so I gave them another chance; Kayla set the appointment for Thursday between 4:30 - 6 pm. She assured me they'd be here. On Thursday it rained but finished by 4 pm. No Kayla, no phone call, no KB pools. I wonder if it's because of my color? Oh well, I'll talk to the competitor in the morning. read more

We recently moved into a new place with a pool this summer. We have never owned a pool before. And this one gave us nothing but problems! With k&b pools help, we basically have a brand new pool! Haha! They came out so many times. Replaced our pool pump, pool liner, main drain, slimmer, light! So now our pool finally holds water! And everything in it is new. Woohoo! Well, then came a few more problems after it was all fixed from previous tenants. I had no clue how to maintain a pool, clean a pool, back wash ext. They personally came out here and showed me how to do everything! They walked me through each step of being a pool owner! And now I believe next summer I'll be a pro because of them! We buy all our chemicals,of course, from them too. They will test your water free on site And tell you exactly what it needs. And they don't try to over sell. Had a new (expensive) liner replaced last year. Has leaked since installed. Service has been poor in correcting the problem. Liner full of wrinkles. Wish we would not have chosen to support a local business. It's sad they don't have respect for the jobs they do. After a year of leaking their final diagnosis was our "toenails punctured the liner" I highly suggest using a more reputable poor company! read more
