I am new to the area. Friday was my second visit. I had a friend in from out of town and we decided to get pedicures. I appreciated them getting us in quickly My first visit was fine. The girl did an okay job but not good enough for me to ask her name to become a repeat customer. On my second visit I asked for polish and was given the menu. She brought back gel and said that color was not in polish. I picked another color and she brought back the color in gel and a somewhat similar color in polish and showed me that the gel was prettier and lasts so much longer. At this point I accepted the polish that she brought to not delay any further. She proceeded to scrape the crap out of the cuticles on my big toes. Both bled and my left toe still hurts, two days later. I had a regular tech for over 15 years at my former residence and I don't remember her ever bringing blood or hurting me during a manicure or pedicure. And she never pushed her preferences on me. I actually wasn't going to write a review. I was just going to never come back. But since I'm monitoring my toe for infection I thought a review was in order. My first visit would have been a 4 and my second a 1, so I will average the stars for this review. read more

They saved me! I got my nails done in jersey the day I flew into MO and they were horrendous! I had no time to get them redone before my flight. The next day I called K&C Nails to see if they had an opening and they did! They completely redid my nails and made the look so good and how I wanted them! This place is awesome! Went to get my nails done and they are horrible. I got acrylic nails and they are way too thick, there are bumps in my nails and there is a hair under the clear polish on one of the nails. None of the lengths even match. To top it off, I asked for a grey color and got clear...don't waste your money here. read more

As a gift to my 94-year-old mother, I treated her to a pedicure. In her entire life, she had never had a pedicure. Never. She's in failing health, physically and cognitively. I am from out of state, so I chose K&C due to what I thought was easy parking. There are no handicap features in front, but we managed. Would it have been nice for someone to treat Mom slightly special considering her age and the fact that this was her very first pedicure? Absolutely. But not expected, I guess -- and you won't get any of that at K&C. Friendliness, no. But you get a basic pedicure, which is fine. The woman who worked on Mom never spoke and rarely gave any eye contact. But the service was OK ... must say, the orange was something I had never seen! What annoyed me was that after getting the clear polish on, the woman just left us. Yes, I guess we were suppose to sit for a while for the polish to dry ... that, I get. But to just leave us? Not come back to check on the polish drying? Say something like, "OK, I think we can get your shoes back on." ?? Nothing! So after about 15-20 minutes, I recognized I was totally on my own to help Mom with her socks, shoes and get her out of the chair. I would never go back. Went to K&C Nails while on vaca. While the woman doing my nails was nice, and so were the other employees, she continuously questioned what I asked for. The gentleman who did my pedi gave a great massage (the best part) but, left limes in my polish. For a mani-pedi it took 2 hours and 45 minutes from start to finish. While it should be expected to spend some time when getting your nails done, this was quite excessive. If I'm back in the are I will probably try another salon. Happy Pampering Yelpers! read more

I honestly want to put a good review but I just didn't get what I asked for. It's honestly because of the people I got doing my nails. I got both a manicure gel and pedicure and on both I did not receive the color l wanted and when I was trying to tell them the color they kept showing a different color. And the one doing my manicure they were very aggressively digging and pushing back my cuticles, it was very painful and I ended up bleeding from my pinkie. I over all didn't have a very good experience. They do try really hard to make sure the nails look good tho. I feel if I got the color I asked for and wasn't tortured it would have been better. My feed back to the salon: Please communicate with your customers make sure that they are OK during the process and make sure they get with they want to the "T". I am over the top obsessed with this nail salon! Not only are they new to "The Burg" but they are also one of the cleanest salons I have ever been into. All items are opened from sanitary packs as they are being used! The pedicure bowls are lined with disposable plastic (so you don't have to worry about getting someone else's funk on your feet)! The prices were average for a nail salon, but they did give a 10% grand opening discount (not sure how long that will last). If you get a pedi be sure to ask for James! & for your nails ask for Britney! They both are FIRE! Love them & I cannot wait to make this my monthly spot for fills/pedis ! read more

I went in and they took me in as a walk in, I only had to wait a couple mins. I told her exactly what I wanted even though it was really ridiculous. Then when something didnt go my way she handled it amazingly even when she had no control over anything. She was an amazing conversationalist but also didnt talk too much which is great. 2nd time review: I went again for the second time and saw Helen. Rude, might I say. I was not very happy with the customer service. I barely got any conversation and was treated like a transaction rushed to get in the next guest. I also was being over charged for something I didn't want and was happy I caught on early but she didn't seem too happy about it. I think this place is soooo cute and would be such a relaxing place if only their professionalism and customer service was better. read more

Love, love, love!!! I've never experienced bad service or a terrible mani here! The staff is so nice and they make sure that you get what you pay for! They understand that I am trying to grow my nails out so they don't cut all my nails when I get acrylics like some places do!! They have never told me that my nails were "too short" to get a full set or anything else that I have asked to get! I have nothing bad to say about K&C! read more

Had a great first experience here. Place is SUPER CLEAN! Came in for a pedicure, and they took attention to detail, and were extremely friendley. The scheduler checked in several times to make sure all was well, and I highly recommend the food massage! Will be back for sure. read more

They do such great work on my nails. I personally do not do acrylic, I have the dip put on my natural nails. They're so strong, and I love the choice of colors they have to choose from. This place was awful. I should have guessed by the lack of a website. The woman I got couldn't get my gel polish off my nails and used a technique for it that is never seen before. She even tried to use the drill on my nails at least 5 times to drill it all off. She drilled my nails until they were thin and the tips came off on some nails. They were all natural nails too. She kept the drill on me until each nail felt really hot and it hurt. She then buffed 3 times. Making my nails even thinner. They had 3 separate people come and look at my gel I'd had on there because they were SO confused that gel was hard to get off. Another lady came and finished my manicure. The same one that argued with me when I said the First Lady had made my nails too thin and I was going to have to cut them super short as a result, saying that they do "so many peoples nails" and they never complain about them making their nails thin and flimsy with their excessive drilling and buffing. The First Lady answered these phone while doing my nails. They charged me full price after taking over an hour for a gel manicure and having all those problems. Never going back. And since I posted this same review on Facebook, they decided to post a picture of my receipt with my signature and last 4 of my card number in full view before being asked to take it down.
