I solicited bids based on measurements. Then I realized that I might have misstated the measurements so I asked for confirmation of their original quote. Their response was that they could not do so without an on-site visit. I did not want a slew of bidders traipsing through my house until I had narrowed down the list of possibles. Their answer, that they did not do business the way I wanted to do it, is fine. They can go find customers who will put up with their attitude. The great reviews are well-deserved. The rope on my roll-up blinds broke and I didn't know who to call. I checked Yelp and saw all the positive reviews of K&D. I left a message for K&D and within 30 minutes Dan returned my call and he said he'd come over in a couple of hours. He did. Although he didn't he the exact length of new rope on hand, he provided a temporary replacement so I could use the blinds and he ordered a new one.
