We've been in contract on a home where everything above the surface looked great, but deeper, they hid some really potentially major problems. We were originally referred to David from our previous Realtor, and even though we have parted ways with our Realtor, we have still continued using David, because we really trust him and his knowledge and not only that, but he really has saved us some MAJOR headaches on some properties before we got in too deep. He's very punctual and is always ready to get started. He's also extremely friendly and will hold a good conversation and give you some laughs, but the greatest thing is that he's super knowledgeable and for most part has been able to answer our questions, and even give us some DIY suggestions if we wanted to fix the issues ourselves. His reports are very thorough, and he does an excellent job of explaining everything and showing pictures of issues and classifying them under non-important to really urgent issues that need attention. Another cool thing is that if you're a returning customer, then he usually will give you a nice discount on your next inspection, which has saved us over $100. If you're looking for a home inspector, then David with Attic to Sidewalk Home inspections is your man.

He was very thorough, checked every outlet, light, appliance. Lou was able to schedule us promptly (contacted me on a Sunday even!), and was on time for our appointment. He had emailed me a copy of the home inspection before I left the property. After the service, I had to contact him a couple times to have minor things on the report amended (issues on our end, name of client, etc) - and he was able to help us right away without issue. After taking air samples, the report came back with all kinds of mold. We had just signed a lease and he helped us by writing a letter stating concrete evidence of the mold. We were able to break the lease and found a new place. Needless to say, we called him again to check the new place out and he came and did a thorough inspection. Thankfully, this place was clear of mold. A year later we moved to Arizona and hired someone there for the place we were renting. This person was nowhere near as knowledgeable or caring as Zach was.
