This is fair since I was a walk-in. Though the same lady asked me to pre-pay for the massage. I did not want to do this as I had never been here before and I have never been asked to pre-pay for a massage. She agreed to let me pay afterwards. I asked if I could go to the restroom beforehand. The polite woman showed me to the restroom. I had been in the restroom for maybe five minutes, and someone banged on the door, and I responded "occupied." One minute later, this person banged on the door again and yelled "HURRY UP!" I wrapped up and washed my hands, and the same lady who was banging on the door yelled "you were taking too long." I asked if she was an employee there, and when she said yes, I told her that I had changed my mind and I did not want to get a massage anymore. She then asked why, and I told her that I did not like how she was yelling at me. The woman then became very aggressive and told me that I should still get a massage and that I was taking too long in the restroom. As I was walking down the stairs, she followed me yelling at me that I was rude, and I wasted their time and just needed to use the restroom. I walked out and the woman was still yelling from inside. Thank god I did not prepay for anything.

1/30/23 While doing some sightseeing, I stumbled onto a new…read moremassage place. Ironically, it's called New Massage. I was greeted by Linda (whose name I learned later on) who had a very big smile on her face. I think we have met before, but don't remember where. Anyhow, I decided to do an hour massage and I was guided into room one of four. The spacing for New Massage is a bit small a first glance. The private rooms are pretty spacious...at least room I was in...which was room 1. The Massage: Linda gave me time to get ready for my massage before knocking on the door. The massage table wasn't heated, but the room was cozy and there is a portable heater in the room which Linda activated for me to make sure I wasn't cold. A large size blanket was put over me to ensure I was kept warm. Normally at a lot of massage places I have visited, a towel is used to cover up the body. Nevertheless, Linda started out with the massage warm up. This means she is going over your body to loosen up the sore/tired or overworked muscles. The pressure Linda used on me was excellent. The extra pressure she used while climbing up on the table and pressing down with her hand made it even better. Linda could have gone one step farther using the techniques of Ashiatsu Massage, but her pressure for me was good enough. Once Linda was done with the preliminaries, the choices of a massage body cream and/or oil could be used. Linda ended up using a mixture of both. Now for the people who prefer to be draped, let the massage therapist know ahead of time. Otherwise the whole sheet might be removed. Linda finished off my back with her hands, forearms and elbows Linda worked on my gluteus maximus using her hands, forearms and elbows. It was a bit intense, but felt great. Linda continued on with the legs and thighs applying the same amount of pressure as she did in the beginning. Linda switched up her tactics and went with a softer massage which put the word "relaxation" into overdrive. The body cream I think is better than the oil it seemed hold more moisture in. It was also less greasy than oil can have. Especially if oil between your virtual smile..., but (no pun intended) I digress. The front of my body was just as enjoyable as the back of my body. The biggest difference is the foot massage at the end of the massage. I could have fallen asleep, but then I wouldn't get to experience the foot massage. When it was all said and done, Linda would have used a hot towel on my lower body as she did my back, but I wanted to keep the moisture on my body. After The Massage: I forgot to mention that during the massage, music was not played and I prefer it this way. Too many place have a lot of the same music or the same few songs get played over and over and over again. Linda asked me several time during the massage if the pressure was good or if the massage is already. I could hear other women and mean groaning in appreciation of getting a great massage. Three other massage thrapist working their magic happy guests and most likely returning customers. I did not see the bathroom on my way into the massage store, but it is located right next to the stairway and by the entrance of New Massage on the second floor. I was given a bottle water after paying the $70 for the hour massage. Linda was hoping for a tip and she definitely received one. She did not complain about the tip as I have read about at other massage places. This place does not offer a free massage after 10 massages, but they do offer business cards. I did not see much about this business on their website, so it is something the Owner of this company might want to update. I will definitely come back for another enjoyable massage.

I have read bad reviews on this place, but I did not meet one of the ladies that thought she was entitled to a tip. Because Kathy and I recognized each other, things went more smoothly, than it could have been. Kathy already knew what pressure, but checked with me to make sure. It had been three years since I had seen here, but apparently my looks haven't chenged. What has changed is Kathy's knowledge of the English language and how good she is at it now. Her hair was short when I met her before, but now it is long and she seems to be in management now...at least this is how it seems to me. Upon arriving at the store, I saw new doors being installed and no one was out front because of the noise. There is; however, a doorbell to ring at the front counter. There are also cameras pointed at you too. The waiting area isn't bad, but the seating area was in use by the construction workers. Don't know if there as ever been a full house here, but there are four massage rooms from what I saw. Since I woke up early for work, I did not shower, because I had an easy 5 hour day today. I was planning on showering after work, but my boss called me and now I am working 11 shift today...cool, but I want a shower....since Jiafu offers body scrub, table shower and massage, I went with the table shower to get rid of some of the grime off me before the massage. Kathy lead me to the back corner of the store and upon entering the room, I saw it was nearly pitch dark. Regardless of the red light being on in the room. Turning on my flashlight, I was able to see where I could put my clothes. After undressing I was lead to the shower room which doubles as bathroom and laundry room was well. Disrobing and hanging the black robe on a hook, I climbed on top of the table a lay down. Kathy sprayed the table with hot water so the water mattress wouldn't be cold to the touch. A small towel was place where one's genitals would touch the table... I know it's a small detail, but I thought I would mention it. Not all places would do this small gesture. The warm water hit my body, but I asked her to make the water a little warmer. She complied, and the water felt even better on my skin. Kathy was very thorough. When I say thorough it means she cleaned between the buttcheeks and cleaned the genitals too. Something that goes beyond the call of duty...I am sure she would have done this with the body scrub too, but I didn't ask for that. Once the table shower was done, Kathy dried me off. Something I heard happen to a woman client at Ethiopia Massage. Her review comes to minds as this is happening to me. Kathy was thorough again with the back massage too. I nearly fell asleep, when I hear a very obnoxious noise coming from the dry cleaners next door. The beeping continued for 45 minutes of the massage and I could not really relax. Katy told me she has talked to the owner about this, but the owner can't do anything about this. This is something to take into account if your going to get a massage here. Also, the $50 massage is for either body massage or foot massage for 40 minutes only. The signs you might see around Sterling won't tell you this. It is mentioned online about this special. On my way out, I met Lucy who smiled and wished to massage me next time. I might take her up on the request, but I will call first to make sure she is there. This place wasn't bad for me, unless you count the annoying beeping noise from the cleaners. I will give this place two more times before I move on....ask for Kathy should you decide stop by here. I haven't experienced what Lucy can do yet, but I will hope to have an answer to this in about two weeks time.

I purchased a Groupon for a couples massage. Save your money…read more (1) Even though the massage was for 1 hour, they were late getting us in the room by 5-10 min & did not make up for that time. (2) They use WAY too much oil. My husband and I were soaked in it, and they did not do a very good job trying to take it off. (3) Their technique is amateur at best. They simply "touch" you. They don't dig in to any spots or apply much pressure at all. This was even after I asked them to increase the pressure. My husband said he felt the same way about his masseuse. Spend a few more bucks and go elsewhere. I can't imagine anyone getting their money's worth.

I rarely give bad reviews and am not picky. This is one of my worst experiences. We had a booking for massage for a couple for 7:00 pm on a Tuesday night. We arrived on time. No one was at the reception. The entire dimly lit unwelcome place was empty. All the doors to all the rooms were open. We were confused. After a while, a middle aged lady came out of a door by the entrance (we didn't see that door when we came in). She confirmed she knew about our booking. She asked us to wait for a little bit. Her English was poor but we tried to look at the bright side. There was no welcome. No water or tea. No music. Just a very dimly lit, sad, unwelcome, Soviet "living room". The lady disappeared into the room again without a word or any detail about why we had to wait. No news. We waited for 30 minutes. This was already a bad start to what was supposed to be a Valentine's Day gift (for me). It turned out there were two clients (or friends?) in that room. That room was set up for couple massage (with two tables). The two middle-aged ladies, both from mainland China, finished up and came out. They were chit chatting amongst themselves and talking about us. I felt very uncomfortable already but did not say anything. One lady then came to ask us what kind of room we preferred: singles or a double. Our booking was clearly for a couple massage. We reconfirmed we wanted a couple massage upon arriving. Clearly they do not speak English here. Meanwhile, the two female clients (a couple? friends? friends of the massage place?) took their sweet time packing up and dressing up. Finally they were out. After we indicated again we wanted to be together, the two ladies (apparently they only had 2 people working there) reluctantly went back to the room to clean up and get it ready for us. I am not sure they changed the sheets and towels. Finally it was our turn. After a long long wait. Were it not for the pre-paid groupon I would have left already. The two unpleasant, rough ladies once again talked amongst themselves just before the start of our massage: "Which one of us shall work on the girl and who works on the guy?" "Any difference?" Giggles. I understand Mandarin Chinese, but I did not hear or understand everything they said. From their accent I could tell they are from mainland China and uneducated. The massage was much too hard for me. Too much pressure. Painful. Not relaxing. I communicated in Mandarin and in English to no avail. She improved for a few minutes and then it was back to her old habit. She was probably a farmer? She pulled on my hair (when massaging my scalp). She messed up my hair big time. My hair was up in a horse tail. She pulled down half way my hair tie without even apologizing or showing any tenderness (she could have gently pulled down my hair tie and laid it by the side for example). It was me who had to discover the mess and let down my hair myself and put the hair tie on my wrist (all in the middle of the massage). Toward the end of the massage, she asked me to flip over to lie on my back. I reacted slowly because I didn't hear clearly what she said (broken English; followed by some kind of Mandarin Chinese). She laughed at me (to my face) talking to the other lady in the room, how I looked Chinese but did not speak Mandarin. I am NOT Chinese, but that's beside the point. How could they make rude comments either in clients' face or behind their back? We gave them each a 10% tip out of politeness. They snickered at us. What did they expect for the non-service? Such terrible terrible attitude. Come here at your own peril. Think twice.

This is a no muss no fuss type of place…read more I had an early morning weekday appointment so street parking was a non issue, but if you're coming at a peak time then you'll probably have to do side streets or something. When I checked in, there weren't any other patrons as far as I could tell. They sort of ushered me right into a room, which was kind of odd (usually there's some paperwork and you meet w the massage therapist to talk about what you want. They also didn't even ask for my name (I suppose if I was the only early morning appointment it doesn't really matter), but still kind of odd. The massage itself was great! When you look through the reviews, they are either overwhelming positive "omg there was so much pressure it was awesome" or negative "omg there was so much pressure it was awful." Spoiler alert: they use a ton of pressure. If you like that, you will like your massage. Jenny beat the crap out of my neck and shoulders. It hurt. A lot. But I'm used to it. And could probably stand an inch taller after the fact. Will definitely be back. Down a star for the oddness/the fact that I'm pretty sure my room was open an inch the whole time... and at some point my massage therapist had to leave to answer the phone. Weird.

9/30/19 Yuki was my masseuse today. No, not Yuki Castellano…read morefrom the Women's Murder Club although she gives me reason to think so. Today I try out the actual massage, because I wasn't able to the last time. I don't know the name of the other lady, but I will be back another time. The place was very quiet, but I knew other people were in the house.if they were with other clients, they were on the second floor. I was asked if k had called a head, but sadly not this time. Yuki showed me to the room in the back and it is when I saw there were two bathrooms. The mens and women's bathroom were segregated. I would have thought the two bathrooms would be unisex. The mens bathroom smelled like someone had taken a dump not to long ago. I also saw there was a shower and since I would have oil on me, I thought the shower might be a good idea afterwards. Yuki used a combination of hands, forearm and elbows for the massage. The massage ended after with light strokes to the body. The massage was what it should have been. What got me more than the massage is that Yuki left the room a number of times without announcing she was going to get something. Once her boss called her, but I don't fault her for that. What I did see her do and this was more annoying than anything thing else is her sending texts or looking at her phone while she was massaging me. I have read of this happening to other Yelpers and one even said "the masseuse was taking pictures of her private areas while she was on her stomach." These thoughts crossed my mind as she was on her phone. I liked the Japanese shirt she had on with the name L something. She said "the she wasn't one of the three ladies in the picture." Guess a lot of people thought otherwise. I minus one star for the leaving of the rooms and using the phone while giving a massage...I don't think she meant any harm by it, but it was a bit disconcerting... ...it made me want to take out my phone too and snap some photos too... I will be back for a third time.
