Absolutely love my eyebrows! I've been researching places for microblading around the DC area, and had come across Priya. It was a little farther out in Reston (since I'm downtown DC) but she was absolutely worth the trip! When I first arrived there was soft music playing, clean salon, and two very helpful women when I first arrived (one being Priya herself). I was able to hang up my coat, get adjusted, and sat in a chair in the front area so she could have good light while she measured my face to get the lines right. I explained my desire for well-shaped but not too thick or high arched eyebrows, and she was patient throughout my explanations. She cleaned up my eyebrows - an absolute first for me since I rarely tweeze my naturally more thin eyebrows. She did a mixture of threading and tweezing (the threading hurt more than the microblading!) Once she was done with the measurements, I asked for a small adjustment and she took time to make sure it was exactly right. Once I was satisfied with the shape she took me into a relaxing back room where I laid down and she explained the rest of the process to me. It would start with her doing the outline. As someone who has tattoos, I knew this would be the most painful part. She started the outline and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! Once she was done with the outline, she put numbing cream on my eyebrows, what I'm assuming is a dye, and then put Saran Wrap over them. I then proceeded to lay down for about 15 minutes and she brought me water. Once that was done she got to work over the next 45 minutes to an hour. In between she would explain what she was doing and then also let me just relax as much as possible. When I was nearly done, she then explained what the healing process would look like and gave instructions for after care. I got to see my eyebrows and then asked for another small adjustment and she made them perfect! I'm going back in a month for the recommended follow up and I'm so happy! Your eyebrows will be very, very dark if you're a blonde because of the dye, but I promise it will fade and look very nice! I love Priya and will likely go back for other services as well. I ended up coming here because I was getting my nails done at Elysium (don't go there!!!) lol but they sucked so bad that I didn't wanna her my upper lip waxed or my eyebrows done. So I walked here! This place was super clean, wait was short, staff suuuuper friendly and they did a great job. I don't like my eyebrows threaded but I don't regret it. My eyebrows before microblading we're shaped differently, one arched, the other curved. Also one brow was slightly higher than the other. Just had my brows microbladed with Priya. She took the time to ask what look I wanted, measured my brows and pointed out the subtle differences between each brow so I could essentially pick the best features from with brow to be mimicked on the other. She also had selections for the color of the brows. The initial outline did hurt a little but nothing more than when you accidentally scrape yourself. She then used a numbing cream and then went to work! The weirdest thing is you can hear the scraping so maybe bring headphones if that weirds you out. She followed up with an after care kit and she has a poster with expected timeline of results for the next month. I'll be back in a month for touch ups and will update the review then! read more

I got my eyebrows microbladed here THREE times. The first two it looked okay, but then literally faded in a month. Six months later I got it done again, was told a different ink or pigment would be used. They looked good for a WEEK, then faded. This is normal, but when the pigment showed back up, it was in random places and it was BLUE. So now I have to use foundation to cover the blue, and then I have to pencil them in anyway. I had my eyebrows done (with PhiBrows) about a year and a half ago out-of-state before I moved back to Northern VA. I was happy with my brows, but they were fading. Not only did she give me the micro-blading treatment of my dreams, but I also had her touch up my permanent eyeliner and she shaded half of my whole outer lid to look just like smoky-eye eye shadow. My eyebrows were effed up from choosing cheap price over quality and I finally learned my lesson and came to Priya. I had all sorts of issues with my previous microblading - uneven eyebrows, one had a slight arch and the other didn't, it was patchy and my skin was probably thinned out from all the scarring. Basically it looked like garbage and I always had to put makeup on it to even out the arch and the patchiness. I recently went to Priya Esthetics, located in Reston, VA. Quick, I've been going to Priya ever since she rented a small space in a barbershop across from where she owns her own business now. Priya and her team are very courteous and well knowledgeable in their art. I recently (two months ago) visited Priya for my eyebrows, and she informed me that her husband recently graduated and received his scalp micro-pigmentation certificate and that they are offering it at her business. I was very interested as my hair was thinning out (not losing it, but thinning out). I contacted her husband directly and made an appointment for this past Saturday. And let me tell you, the results are incredible. No pain or discomfort at all. The whole process took about 3 hours, and within a month ill be going back for a follow-up to determine if I need a touchup. Her husband (GERTY) is very meticulous at his art. I call it art because the result is an art and provides that self-confidence that one might be loosing due to thinning or going bald. I highly recommend going in and seeing what they can do for you. I would definitely rate this shop as top of the line. Priya Esthetics is fantastic. I went to get my eyebrows microbladed over my already tatooed eyebrows. I have little to no tolerance for pain. Though procedure was rather challenging, Priya was very patient and understanding and took her time to complete my procedure. absolutely HORRIBLE service!!!!!!! last time I got my brows done they were telling me how they can do hairstyles for special events (prom, weddings, parties, etc.) and so I scheduled a hair appointment with them. I came in a few days later to get my hair done and when I asked them to straighten my hair they were completely clueless! then I asked them what they COULD do and they told me they could curl it and put it up into a bun. I allowed them to do so but it was the worst mistake of my life. when they were finished with my hair I looked like a witch or like tarzan after he had been swinging on vines all day! they charged me $60 for that.
