We contacted some homeowners that had recently used Weller previously and they seemed happy. Time passed and things happened and here we are. Any issue that has come up with the house has been attributed to the house not being built right from the beginning. Soon after signing we witnessed and addressed many significant issues: wrongful measured and cut materials resulting in rework; the use of bad lumber, bad joining, poorly built and joining rafters, damage to our newly poured cement with them withholding the information from us, wrongly pitched rooflines, damage to our neighbor's property that was not repaired professionally, poor work ethic and wasted time, none of 7 rooms are finished or usable (some not framed, others not sheet rocked or floored, with no usable electrical or plumbing to any of the new areas, several major job needs (demolishing bath, movement of a major wall, the installing of the elevator, the excavation of the driveway and replacement of a wider and better driveway, a slanted ramp (that began sloping only a month after construction), increased humidity causing mold in the existing structure-causing sickness, no screening of the screened deck, with basically only 1/3 of the work done although we have paid the builder 81% of the trajected project budget which was quoted as, $465,019.50 by the builder to which we agreed to. During the project, we asked for a few changes which we paid up front materials plus labor, therefore those are mute issues. The builder also charged us an added $17,000 for "overage" yet refused to present any accountable evidence as to what that entailed. He has not provided one itemized statement or copies of any receipts and expects us to just trust that all of the waste that his men and he did due to diverging from our specifications and wrongful work has not been billed to us (which we don't owe however he won't provide proof). He admits no responsibility with any of these issues. They have been working on and off for over a year and quit without completion or refunding our money for the 2/3 of work not done.
