We are in the process of building a home with GreenTech Homes in the Heritage Walk subdivision.. We are moving from Arizona to Chattanooga, and a lot of negotiation, decisions and contract signing has had to take place via phone meetings and Zoom. Kate Jung and Madelyn Eagle have been so good to work with. They are punctual and responsive. If they don't have an answer to our questions, they will promptly get back to us with the answer. We have been in a Green Tech home since April 18, 2025. I will repeat, we can not use our disposal or island outlets without popping a Circuit that we have to go to garage and reset. There have been three people come out with conflicting opinions, STILL NOT FIXED. Just simply poor construction that needs repair, still waiting. Recently outlets in MB quit working, we found out three are contacted and trip switch is in another bathroom. This is within code just plain cheap work. Door frames put in so poorly most doors need adjusting. I would never purchase a Green Tech home! And Hawthorne management waits on your technicians to make repairs. STILL WAITING! read more

From the very beginning we were attracted to the community feel of the neighborhood and the design and selection of the homes. Scott Thompson, the Green Tech agent, was always available to us as we worked through the decision process. He made sure that all agreements were honored, and made sure we knew who to talk to and turn to work questions. The project managers - Wesley Swift and Gus Menendez - were worth us through the first shovel of dirt to even after we'd moved in. The checked in with is twice a week, worth pictures and conversation. At anytime we wanted to walk through the house during the building process, one of them would meet us at the house and be avaliable. We can't speak highly of these there people!! We had an inspector go through the house and he was very impressed with the quality and care of their work. "They obviously cared about this house being done right," he said. He found very little to be concerned about, and no big issues at all! We love our home and have already made friends with several neighbors BEFORE we even moved in! read more

Headline: "Here hold muh beer" The level of incompetence is so deeply rooted in this company I can only conjecture that the founders drank too much at a bar one night and said "Hey... you know.. you know what we should do? Houses. We should.. we should build houses. That sounds fun". If you want to skip the whole review I'll sum it up for you: run. I think the longer and longer I live in my Greentech house the more and more I hate Greentech. The level of incompetence and laziness is striking. From stupid things like "Hey why don't my bathroom fans not work? Oh.. that's because they installed them completely wrong" to "Backyard drainage? What backyard drainage?" Along the design and build process I basically had to babysit them and show them everything they "missed" -- from things like the vaulted ceiling were wrong, to forgot to put in the fireplace hearth, to a $500 ceiling fan that they 'forgot' to install. There's more. I just don't feel like reliving the experience in my mind. Just no. No way. I wouldn't deal with GreenTech again even if someone PAID me. I felt like I had to be a constant, consistent babysister. "Hey did you do this?", "Did you do this?", "You know this is wrong?". I feel sorry for families buying these houses that don't have the extra time to pour over architectural diagrams and point out just exactly what GreenTech "forgot" to build. read more

Stay away from this company. I have been trying now for months to get them to fix warranty items. They keep ignoring me. One item is all my counter tops have fallen separating from the back splash. Causing grout to crack and subway tiles to pull away from the wall. There are many other issues that have still not been addressed. Have had so many issues since I purchased the land before they started the build. Air conditioning broke down twice in the summer. I still have drainage issues in the yard and can not do anything before they fix it. The city should have never approved the occupancy with this being an open issue. All I know is the longer they wait to fix things the more it will cost them to fix them. Karma read more

Greentech does a great job selling houses but does not stand behind them once sold. Very difficult to get warranty work completed and they are basically unresponsive. Will tell you that they are busy...they were not too busy to collect your money when the sold the house. Did my 12 month walk through in August, a month before the 12 month warranty would expire. Four months later, I'm still waiting for items to be corrected. Lots of excuses but no action. I'm fortunate because my issues are relatively minor so I will just fix myself. Just very disappointed in how the company conducts themselves post-sale. read more

I do not like to ever write negative reviews, I think they are normally over rated by someone having a bad day. However, this report covers a period of over a ten month interval. We moved to the Stonegate Community and purchased our home back in early May 2021. Our home was advertised in Realtor.com and a couple of promises made by Greentech in the ad, attracted us to the home and purchase. The ad stated the following: "This home is eligible for $3, 000 closing cost credit through our preferred lender and up to $5, 000 in designer finishes incentives." Although we inquired multiple times about the $3,000 closing cost credit being we financed through their preferred lender, and the $5,000 in designer finishes incentives, none were ever given, we were either shunned or just blatantly ignored. At that point I started thinking what kind of builder would advertise and promise these online incentives and have no intention of following through with their promise? Does this builder have any integrity? It is now going on ten months since we purchased our home from Greentech and my questions have and continue to be answered, regarding this company's lack of integrity. We have numerous issues that need to be fixed or addressed at our home: · 4 inch pvc pipe sticking 8 inches out of the ground in the front yard facing the street, in two different places. · Cracked tile in the master bedroom. · Electrical in both the living room and master bedroom. · HVAC unit fails to blow adequate hot/cold air into bedroom three. · Back door casing framed poorly and insulation does not encircle door completely, allowing hot/cold air to constantly flow underneath and beside door casing. · Standing water against the foundation of our house due to poor drainage. Almost every resident here at Stonegate Community here in Soddy Daisy has standing water or flood issues on their property. This is due to Greentech builders, poor grading to allow proper surface drainage prior to building the homes in this community. All of these issues have been reported numerous times verbally to Greentech on site employees, written documentation submitted via e-mail directly to Greentech, to their Buildertrend website, and also to their Home Warranty Division. For over ten months now we have either been ignored: phone- mailbox full or no return call, text message gets no response, or given false promises when we waste our whole day waiting for their workers who never show up. Throughout these ten plus months of waiting and attempting in numerous ways to get these issues resolved, Greentech has been building and selling homes right here in our neighborhood, as well as their other new home building sites. It is quite obvious that Greentech is passionate and concerned about selling you a home. But once the money is in their bank account Greentech either- has no intention of fixing their mistakes or oversights to make things right, or satisfy their home purchase customers. Or Greentech - executes extremely poor customer service after the sale. Either way I am personally appalled at how Greentech conducts their business and customer service! read more

We purchased our first home with GreenTech 4 months ago. We are beyond happy with the final product! From the time we started the process of signing the contract all the way to close, we were very pleased. GreenTech staff is very professional, the technology is great that was used to keep us informed on the process, and the quality of the home is a step above! Having a father as a general contractor makes me slightly more "picky" and particular than others as I've been trained to know good workmanship and quality when I see it. It's ultimately why we chose to build with GreenTech - because we knew they would do a fantastic job, and they certainly did not disappoint. read more
