Went in for a $40 piercing sale, they said it was $40 off not $40 a piercing, already sketchy asf, after my appointment I checked their posts and it says $40 piercings, not $40 off of piercings. Entire lobby smelled of cigarette smoke and people were vaping inside the building. I got my tongue pierced, they took me upstairs, where everything is visibly dirty. In the room they set me up in, their was needles on the ground. And as there was a needle in my tongue, a two year old came running through the door. And no one grabbed her, just was like "oh do you want to watch?". My piercing healed fine but overall very unhygienic, uncomfortable, and unsafe. Their was a two year old running in and out of rooms, as their was needles next to my feet on the floor. That's all you really need to know to make a decision. I won a gift card to this place at a benefit. I met with Troy and gave him my ideas and we searched together for the prompts I wanted to use. One of those prompts being sheet music. After my second session with Troy, my tattoo healed TERRIBLY. Deep scarring from going too deep and fresh ink looked to be 10 years old. I went to my trusted artist who agreed, the work was not awesome. We then sat down and he looked at what I had given Troy, and to our amazement, Troy did not actually use the sheet music I gave him. he changed the time of the music, and put notes WHEREVER he wanted. Now i don't even know what my "music" sounds like. This place might have other respectable artists, but I won't be risking it. read more

I came here for the Friday the 13th flash deal and it was a great experience! The line was so long that they honored everyone who was there to come in the next day for the deal! My husband and I went to K&M for the first time yesterday. We made an appointment for a particular artist that we have gone to before, but we were impressed by the studio itself as well. We were welcomed by Kenneth, the owner, upon arrival, the waiting area is clean and respectful, there is nothing in there that is off putting. While waiting for our appointment we met a couple of other artists that came and went, all greeted us with hellos. The individual studios themselves are amazing! They're large, spacious, clean, comfortable. The studio we were in was private enough that we could talk but it was also nice when other artists popped in to say hello and see the progress of the piece. The atmosphere is calm, relatively quiet, I didn't hear anyone else's conversations or talking. I have been to a few other shops and this is by far the best, it isn't stereotypical for a "tattoo shop". It was a great place to spend an afternoon getting tattooed!! read more

I would love to give a good rating because the tat I did get was great BUT big but I can't because I feel what happened to me my daughter and niece was not professional. We all gave a bigger deposit then was supposed to be given on a tat to hold our appointments ( told after it was to big ) the artist who took our money then canceled on us and passed us on to anther artist this was not a problem the problem is we had to pay full price for our tats we lost our deposits not over a change we made over a change the artist made !! So I had always heard good things about k&m tattoo so when it finally came time to get another tattoo done I stopped into k&m. I was really impressed. The shop was bright and clean. The crew is down to earth and just a blast to kick it with while getting work done. Spagz did my tattoo and I was extremely happy with the result. He has some of the best work I've seen. I've gotten compliments everywhere I've gone from people that have seen my tattoo. Friends of mine asked where did I go and I tell them and they all say how great the tattoo looks and how Spagz did excellent work. Came in yesterday guy had us waiting two hours then told us they're tired and done and said we could come in next day and that it would be 120 so we waited an hour and half and they said it's going to be 250 for regular butterfly tat feel like that is too overcharged for simple butterfly tats won't come again read more

Went along with another person to get piercings, done by Tatiana. She made this an incredibly negative experience. Very unprofessional, inappropriate language use, and immensely defensive personality. We waited for 40 minutes in the waiting area while she ate food that was delivered about 5 minutes after our arrival, all the while claiming she was setting up for us (while we could easily overhear her eating and chatting with coworkers). It doesn't take 40 minutes to "set up" for simple piercings. When we were finally brought to the back room, she showed us all the earring options, touching each of them and then returning those she had just handled to the bags of earrings which are clearly used for next customers. Translation: you are being pierced with rings that are unsanitary and previously touched, most likely with hands that have just eaten fast-food. Most frustratingly, she was extremely defensive about the most basic questions asked about the procedure and process, acting as though our questions were personal insults questioning her abilities. It was extreme, unnecessary, and made the experience uncomfortable. When my 15 yr old daughter (who had 2 piercings done same day) asked her to pause for a few moments in-between the piercings so she could wipe her tears and regroup herself, Tatiana had the gaul to tell us there may be people waiting (which there weren't) so she had to move along. My jaw hit the ground. A 15 year old asking for 10 seconds in between piercings was too much to ask after she rudely and unprofessionally had just made us wait 40 minutes while she ate? I would not recommend this place to anybody. There is a reason both times I called I was told the place was dead, while Pins & Needles in Brockton had a 2 hour wait both times. Prices given over the phone were not the same as what we were charged (higher rates). Employees don't seem to be overseen by anyone and this business needs to re evaluate (as a business owner myself) it's employees, their lack of professionalism, and how their first impressions cannot be undone. I do see other negative reviews about unnecessary long wait times while being ignored by employees. I suggest going elsewhere. read more

I went to k&m back in October referred by a friend who's brother worked there. I was so impressed by Paul "spags" work as well as the work I'd seen around the parlor from the other artists. I went in looking to get get a tattoo for my grandparents who live down the Cape. I went Into it with kind of a simple plain almost boring design of the outline of the cape. I had to drive a friend home and was going to come back to have spags do his work on me after he finished up with his brother. I came back and he had drawn up an awesome picture of the cape with shading on the edges and a herring Gull in the bay of the cape to symbolize a beach I grew up on down there. Did it hurt? Of course haha, but it's a tattoo not a pedicure. It came out amazingly, with a very fair price and I get so many compliments on it. I would recommend this parlor to any of my tattoo friends looking for a local artist with a great eye! :) read more

I went in because my friends recommended the place, and I wish I hadn't. I made an appointment and came back the day of to get my tattoo done. I sent the pictures a week before, and everything was supposed to be drawn up. Now, I'm sitting in the studio an hour and a half after the appointment time. I call the artist to find out what's up, and he's busy with his girlfriend, he can't do the tattoo today. Alright. I make another appointment, and come back that day too. I'm on time, and wait an hour before he shows up. He has nothing drawn out, he didn't even print the picture. Another two hours and we can start my tattoo. It's a black and red tattoo, plain and simple. The heart of the tattoo is supposed to be red. He makes it black, "Oh, I'll go over it, it'll be fine". He would not listen when I asked him to be more careful, and basically disregarded anything I had to say. This was supposed to be a birthday present, and now I have a reminder that if you don't pay attention to every move someone makes, they'll mess up your tattoo. Please, don't trust Freddy. read more

Came back to the Boston area from Virginia to visit family. Wanted to get a tat while here. I had limited time and needed a place that took walk ins. I happened upon K & M and after seeing the shop and talking with Freddy, I felt comfortable and excited about working with him. He was able to fit me in the next day. He sat with me and collaborated on my vision of the tattoo. His policy of having the client open the sterile packaging made me feel at ease as well as protected. The tattoo came out great and I am pleased with it. I would highly recommend this shop. Really wanted to give 4 1/2 stars and would have given 5 stars if there was a receptionist. read more
