She told me that she heard good things about Sacred Addition. I gave them a call to see if they would even be able to do it this week. I spoke to Anthony and he asked me to email him a picture of what I wanted. We stopped by later that day to speak with him. He said he would come in Friday (his day off) to do it before I went back home. I came in Friday for my appointment. We got started on the tattoo and it was immediately way too painful for me. 15 minutes in, I told him I probably would only be able to do the outline. He wasn't pissed (like I would expect someone to be if they came in on their day off to do a tattoo) and told me he was almost done with the outline then we could take a break and then start the shading, which was much easier that the outline. I said okay. He was right. The shading was much easier than the outline. There were a few other points during the 2.5 hours that I was ready to give up. Anthony was like a motivational speaker. He encouraged me to finish it, but in a nice way. The owner (didnt catch his name) was drawing something near where I was getting tattooed and also encouraged me to finish it before I went back to California the next day. He said, "you don't want to be walking down Venice Beach with an unfinished tattoo." I told him I live in San Francisco and likely wouldn't be at Venice Beach anytime soon. But his encouragement was still nice. It's been a week since Anthony did my tattoo, and it looks amazing. I'm so so happy with it. Thank you, Anthont!

One woman's design was a little too small and they explained how'd they'd have to make it larger for the detail. Again, the artist and apprentice taking the time to work with each person. Andrew, the piercer, was attentive and friendly. I was able to get my nipple pierced and get an extra barbell for my other for a total of $50. Very fair pricing! The shop looked as clean as any other 5 star piercing parlor/tattoo shop I've been too. Everything in the piercing room was sterile, Andrew was careful to use gloves and change them as necessary. His attention to detail in lining up my piercings was spot on! I mean, literally, they are mirrors of each other but pierced at least a decade apart. Seriously, this is probably going to become my go to place for body mods. It's close to home and perfectly priced. Good thing I have tattoos planned!

Entire lobby smelled of cigarette smoke and people were vaping inside the building. I got my tongue pierced, they took me upstairs, where everything is visibly dirty. In the room they set me up in, their was needles on the ground. And as there was a needle in my tongue, a two year old came running through the door. And no one grabbed her, just was like "oh do you want to watch?". My piercing healed fine but overall very unhygienic, uncomfortable, and unsafe. Their was a two year old running in and out of rooms, as their was needles next to my feet on the floor. That's all you really need to know to make a decision. (Don't be stupid, choose a better place;)
