She wanted a cartilage piercing and I was going to change jewelry in 8 piercings I have. I was going to get all solid gold so I was planning on spending at least, and most likely over $1000. The woman in the front was very kind and descriptive explaining the jewelry types to my sister and I but when she went to ask the piercer a question he was rude to her and basically brushed her off asking why she would need to ask another question. He then came out and was rude to me answering the question. He literally went on a rant about how my nose piercing couldn't accommodate a hoop. I've had a hoop before, but I understood where he was coming from as my nostril is pierced very high. For some reason, even though I said right away I'd be fine without ones he went on and on in a rushing and rude way about why it wouldn't work and then rushed back to the back room. I didn't get his name unfortunately. My sister and I ended up leaving because she didn't want that man piercing her and I didn't want to give so much money to and a large tip to someone so rude and dismissive of his customers and coworkers. Thanks again to the woman in the front for having such great customer service, but I will never return to this shop.

Amazing experience all around. Let me preface by saying that, although I have a few tattoos, the…read morelast time I got one was close to ten years ago, and my sessions were never more than two hours at a time. Lots of things have changed in terms of process and aftercare, so I had a LOT of questions (not to mention, this was a four hour session to finally complete a tattoo outline that I gave up on a long time ago - double what I was used to sitting through). I had stumbled upon Ash's work through Google, and their style was exactly what I was looking for to finally complete this piece. I am so glad I did! Right off the bat, the studio was such a cool space, clean and welcoming. Ash was so understanding, and went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and informed throughout the process. They took time to understand my vision (what I didn't like about the existing work, offering suggestions and solutions), checked in frequently throughout the tattoo (making sure I was handling it ok, explaining what they were doing to transform it, what to expect in terms of healing - shading will lighten, etc). They were so patient with all of my questions, and so easy to talk to; aside from the tattoo, we had some great conversation about books, movies and more. They put me at ease and the time went by much faster than I thought it would! Last but certainly not least... I could not believe my eyes at the end of the appointment. Absolutely gorgeous, detailed work! I am going back for another session (or two) to complete it, but it already looks AMAZING. It is so much better than I could have ever imagined. I'll absolutely be going back for a few more pieces when this one is complete! THANK YOU, ASH!

From the consultation to the final product, the experience was awesome. Most people rate tattoo…read moreartist based solely on the tattoo, but having been to multiple artists, I can assure you the whole experience needs to be considered. Erica is personable, takes the time to listen to your ideas, and providers her EXPERT opinion. I gave her my idea and let her create what she thought would look best, and she was right. I've already scheduled my next tattoo with her, and I certainly wouldn't go there again if I wasn't COMPLETELY satisfied.

I got this tattoo back in January, and I waited to post this review to see if I would get used to…read morethe tattoo Erica gave me. Sadly, I haven't and I didn't have a great experience getting the tattoo, either. I had gone to Erica before for a tiny tattoo and she was nothing but polite and very personable. The second (and last) time I went, it started out that way, but didn't end on a great note. I wanted a small floral piece different than the one I got. Erica said I needed to go bigger so the lines don't blend together and end up making the flowers look like circles (fine). During the tattoo, everything was going great until the end when she said "Don't get green ink in your next tattoo." I asked why to which she said "Why?! Why do you think?! Your skin doesn't like it." Which I thought the way she said it was pretty rude. (I'm not a tattoo artist so I have no idea what you're talking about ).She also told me my skin was really dry which was why I had angry skin after the tattoo. I feel like she got frustrated with the green ink situation and took her frustration out on me, which ultimately led to her doing a poor job on my tattoo. I think the tattoo she gave me is subpar. It just looks like someone drew flowers on me with crayola crayons. It doesn't look natural, the colors are too bright , the lines in the flowers blend into each other, and the green ink for the stems turned out kinda splotchy. I left the shop that day feeling like a defective canvas and not an actual human being with feelings. Also, I sent her a picture of what I wanted with the deposit months before the tattoo appointment. She couldn't have told me in the email that what I wanted wasn't doable? She had to wait until the day of the appointment? Really? She might be talented with other types of tattoos, but if you're looking for a delicate floral piece, don't go here.
