I called to get a quote for my taxes and an amendment. I was very specific in what my situation was…read moreand was told that the preparation would be no more than $250.00. I made an appointment(the first of which Brenda cancelled so she could go on vacation) and dropped off my taxes. A week later I called to see if my taxes were done. They said I could pick them up the following day so I asked how much it would be so that I could have a check ready. I was told it would be $520.00 for the regular taxes not including the amendment. I asked to speak wiht Brenda and explained that I was quoted $250 and gave her the name of ther person that gave me the qote and that the person that gave me the quote told me specifically that they were putting the quote in the computer at the time I made the appointment. Brenda offered to drop the charge for the ammendment. I was still not happy because I was paying over double what I was quoted. My husband picked up the taxes and paid for them, however, I have sent Brenda several emails asking for her to follow up with me regarding the quote and she will not respond. I then had a friend call and get a quote for a similar filing situation and that person was also quoted between $200 and $300. This is a classic case of bait and switch. Do not use her services.

The only reason I'm giving a 4 star review is because she showed up about 10 minutes late and then I had to wait another 10 minutes before going in to get started, not to mention she was chewing and popping her gum (a BIG pet peeve of mine) while she was doing my taxes and I was sitting across from her, which I thought was pretty unprofessional and tacky. Now I will admit I was 10 minutes late myself because I had a doctors appointment right before my appointment to get my taxes done that took longer than expected. I really love the folks here…read more A relocation to HR had us hunting down a tax preparer in 2012 and somehow we found Fastax and Sharon and Andy. We've been with them ever since and when Andy suddenly passed away we were both sad and worried the office would close. Luckily for us, they're attached to the FT @TC and the office stayed open. Sharon is awesome as their admin person and Kathy always gets us the most money. Every February we find ourselves in their office and it's like we're having a family reunion. We have only used them for our taxes but they're open year round for other services, and during tax season they have weekend hours that will have you in and out in less than an hour.
