My son has been here often so he's becoming familiar with certain areas and found what he wanted. I, on the other hand, was overwhelmed. Asset Recycling is a division of Youth Fair Chance, Inc., and in operation since April of 2003. They are a non-proft organization who works to divert usable building materials from landfills while offering donors all allowable tax incentives for their contributions. The charity's focus is to provide today's youth with a fair chance for a safer and more environmentally friendly future by eliminating usable building materials from landfills.  It provides neighborhoods and individuals, especially the ill, needy, and youth, new and affordable building materials for home projects. While the Asset Recycling warehouse primarily contains windows, doors, paint, plumbing supplies, flooring, and lighting, you can also count on finding interesting deals, arts and crafts items, holiday and party supplies, home decorating items, fabrics, and more. Asset Recycling is open to the public with a focus on serving those most in need of assistance with safe and affordable housing.  Inventory changes often, so frequent visits are encouraged. Our first issue was the concrete floor still had some old paint that still held a good bond after testing. We had to break that seal for the new paint, epoxy and coatings to adhere well. We started applying paint stripper and taking it off with scrapers and wire brushes but it quickly became clear it was going to be labor intensive. The kit instructions suggested another method of breaking down the seal/bond by using a concrete sander. My wife checked with Home Depot and Lowes who both advertise that they rent tools and equipment but neither had any concrete sanders. Using Yelp's search engine brought us to In A Pinch Rent It and after searching their website we saw they had one that looked like the perfect fit for our needs and could be rented 4 hours for $79 or all day at $109. You can also purchase a damage waiver (which we did) that protects you from any damage up to $2500 for like 10$. She called to confirm they had what we needed and we went to the Martinsville location to pick it up. They showed us how to operate it, and how to fold down the handle. He also told us to let the machine do the work. They loaded it into the car for us. The machine worked as we were told. The vibration did cause the cord to come unplugged a few times but other than that no issues at all. We would suggest that you get the dust vacuum attachment because it did create dust everywhere. It would have been an additional $50 and they did ask us if we wanted it but we just didn't think we would need it. Originally we only were going to sand the bonded areas which was a small area but we ended up sanding the entire floor. In hindsight, we should have spent the extra money to reduce the dust. We now know a great place where we can rent tools and equipment when we need them. The staff were all friendly and knowledgable about their products. They actually went above and beyond when we brought the equipment back. They unloaded the grinder and thanked us for renting from them. My wife's car for whatever reason would not start and they brought out a charger box and started her car. If you are like us, we want to support local businesses. This is a good place to support. They have many tools and lots of equipment for rent. The also have moving supplies, boxes for sale and U-Haul trucks for rent. Please give this place a try, you won't be sorry. They have a resident cat who is very friendly and loves to be petted. Our granddaughter loved the cat.

There were 3 men that showed for the entire week. One who worked the equipment in the ceiling, one who worked the equipment on the ground and a younger man who went behind and cleaned the vents and returns. From my perspective, this is the most thorough any company has cleaned our vents. Not only did they vacuum out the ducts, they covered the vents prior, so debris would not come flying out and make a mess (which no other company had done). Then they followed with vacuuming the exterior of the exhaust vents and then used a spray cleaner to clean the exterior of all the vents and returns. They may have even done more, but being a commercial job, I didn't follow them around and see all that they did. I also did not have any personal interaction with them. But I can say, the vents in our 35 year old building have never been cleaner, and they didn't make a mess while doing their job either. Even though they may seem higher priced than other companies, you definitely get what you pay for. And Alpine does an excellent job! Definitely hire Alpine for your residential and commercial needs.
