There is air-conditioning and a mini-fridge in the room. Jackie, the manager, is AWESOME!!! She let us park our car in front even before officially checking in, she ran outside to give us a London coupon book, and she told us to bring in our luggage and she would have it delivered to our room. (The guest house is about a five minute walk to the tube, and about 25 minutes to the the heart of London.) She let us select which room we wanted, and had the luggage moved to that room. For breakfast, you could have a traditional hot English breakfast, pancakes, or a made-to-order omelet. There was also home-made granola bars, gourmet cheeses, breads, bagels, and lunchmeats. Upon check-out, Jackie printed out current road maps to our destination without being asked!! This is the kind of exemplary customer service one expects from five-star hotels in the U.S. Though the rooms are plain, the service and amenities are first class!!! Thanks, Jackie!!!

Traveling via the tube and walking the short distance to this hotel and lounge was a great experience. While we did not stay at this hotel, it does definitely looks like what you'd expect from a 4 star hotel. My wife joined me on this trip and we were not disappointed. The only splurge on my trip was the cigar and it was worth it. Definitely a must if you want to grab a drink and smoke before a show, dinner or just relaxing. The walls are beautifully adorned with paintings of celebrities. The staff was very attentive and did not make us feel like the rookies we are in this arena.
