We signed up with this company recently, and paid even more than he asked to get started. They were unresponsive to multiple emails and texts asking if any taxes were due. Turns out we had a tax return due while waiting on a response from them. We ended up having to do it ourselves. Poor service and communication. Update: His assistant Kalisha tried to threaten us for posting our honest experience by threatening to call their lawyer. Also the assistant has it wrong, because we didn't receive any communication we asked for a refund. The next day we spoke to Ken, the owner, who said that he had a conversation with his assistant about her inappropriate responses and texts. We also received a full refund. read more

I spoke with Ken Daniel over the phone after requesting a quote on Yelp. My issue was the FTB sent me a letter asking me to file a CA tax return for 2017, the year I did not live in California and had no California income. Ken listened to my questions regarding the notice and the accompanying questionnaire, and he directed me to the correct course of action (physically going to the FTB office, where I explained the situation and resolved my issue). He did not charge me anything for this wonderful advice, and he saved me hours time trying to figure it out on my own. I was skeptical that anyone would be willing to hear me out and offer help via a "free" consultation, but Ken did, and I am super appreciative! I had reached out to other Yelp businesses for a quote and got varying responses for my inquiry (ranging from $50 for a "letter" explaining why I shouldn't have to file, $99 for a consultation, and $150 for a tax amendment and filing CA taxes which would have been entirely unnecessary)... none as honest and genuinely helpful as Ken Daniel. 6-26-21 Update: I just received a bill today from the IRS regarding the tax problem I discussed earlier (12-14-2020) and was told that I owe $986.06 due to the blunder and lack of communication with K.B Daniels. $761 was owed for late payment penalty and an additional $224 owed for interest. None of this should have happened if prompt attention had been given. At a mininum, once the error was discovered, if K.B. Daniels had responed in a timely manner, the fees would have been less. This unfortunate event could have been avoided with proper care and professional service. Beware. read more
