KBL was great - quick, responsive, thorough, professional and reasonably priced. Definitely using them next time.

I don't leave critical reviews lightly, especially for small businesses, as we genuinely try to…read moresupport local businesses whenever possible. That's what makes this situation especially so disappointing. Our experience with CMH Flooring and Collin has been extremely frustrating and is still unresolved. The initial installation was defective, with flooring lifting and separating throughout. At first, the issue was blamed on the product itself, but Collin later acknowledged that installer error contributed to the failure. A second installation was completed, but similar issues have already begun to reappear, including lifting and clicking in multiple areas. Throughout both installs, Collin was minimally present and the work was largely performed by subcontractors with little oversight. There were also multiple inconsistencies in communication and follow-through. Statements around material quality and warranty changed over time, and previously deemed "defective" materials were reused in the second install despite earlier claims they would not be warrantable. In addition to the workmanship concerns, we are still owed over $2,000 in material reimbursement. Despite multiple requests, Collin has not provided a Certificate of Insurance and has stopped responding to calls and messages altogether. We are currently pursuing formal avenues to resolve this, but felt it was important to share our experience so others can make an informed decision. Overall, Collin did not prove to be the trustworthy, reliable contractor we believed we were hiring, and the lack of follow-through and accountability has been extremely disappointing.

Absolutely horrible service and would not recommend. Did not protect fiberglass tub when doing…read moretile as they said they would and scratched the tub up. Damaged newly sheetrocked and painted walls well beyond acceptable and did not clean up well after they thought they were complete. Called several times trying to get them to come back and fix some issues and they never returned the message and never showed. New shower pan does not completely drain and has some standing water so they did not set the floor slope properly. Supposedly leveled floor in other bathroom but large dip near where the toilet was set. In total CMH is awful and we would never, ever use again or recommend.

I had to quickly get some new carpet installed very quickly and after outrageous quotes from other local companies, I decided to reach out to 50 Flooring. From the moment I discussed our needs with Fallon the sales representative, I was sold. She listened to my needs and understood my goals. The installers - Victor and Cindy were on time, polite, professional and extremely trustworthy. They worked all day with little down time and cleaned up as if they were never here. Thanks all! Very appreciative!

I noticed in September a small nail on the middle of a step on the staircase that was put there when the floors were installed. This is where my foot lands so I've gotten cut frequently as a result. After numerous calls in requesting service, someone finally came out in December to take a look. He wasn't sure if the nail is supposed to be there or not so he was going to talk to the installer and get back to me. He never did and I found out in January that he no longer works with the company. I was constantly calling and emailing trying to get help with this and no one followed through. Finally someone was supposed to come out tonight from 6-8 but of course no one did. It is now April 20th and I'm still dealing with this.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!! Absolutely ridiculous to work with. From the unresponsive sales person…read moreHank to the incompetent owner and his incompetent rude and unresponsive office manager I cannot believe they are still in business. It has been 6 weeks and they still cannot bring a shower door that fits for our client. We tried to help coordinate a shower glass door install to help our client finish his bathroom and they have single handedly destroyed our rapport. If you are a contractor or homeowner stay away from this company. I can understand problems and delays but this company does not give one single bit about communication with client, answering phone calls or returning phone calls. Their installation crews even have to lie and apologize for how terrible they are.

I have been very disappointed with the customer service with Carolina Shelving and would not…read morerecommend using their services. I was building a house and my builder used them, so I went with it. Shawn came on site and walked the two bathrooms with me to define what I was looking for. Shower number 1 was a 7 foot long shower and I defined that I wanted the door at the one end so that we could easily reach the shower controls and towels. Once it was installed, the shower door was in the middle of the shower, which meant you had to get wet to even turn on the shower. They did rectify this one and now it is correct as I ordered it although my tile now has unattractive holes in it from where the shower had to be moved. In the second shower I asked to have a towel rod inserted into the glass as there was no wall space in the bathroom for any towel rods. When this shower was installed, the shower rod was not there and the door did not open/close well without catching on the glass to the shower. It took about 5-6 months before anyone came back to resolve the issue with the door and Carolina Shelving was not willing to resolve the towel rod in the manner I had asked for it. They offered to epoxy one on the shower glass. I asked an installer as well as other glass companies about the comparison of a permanent rod thru the glass versus one that is installed with epoxy. I was told that it would have a questionable life span (might stick for four years, maybe 20 years...you never know) as well as not as clean of an appearance....and most important, was not what I had asked for. After Shawn had walked the house with me and had taken notes on what I wanted done, he told me he would draw up the plans and send them to me for approval. He never sent them to me, but instead sent them only to the builder. The builder signed off on what they received without checking with me, so the builder also has some responsibility in this mistake, but neither wants to assume any responsibility. Shawn and the owner Keith said that they do not need to send the plans to me, as I am not their customer...the builder is. Now this is a concept that makes no sense to me. It is my house, and my money that is paying for these showers in my house, but I am not the customer just because the builder is the one that sends them the check of MY MONEY? I strongly disagree with that statement, I am their customer!!! If they want to say they have two customers, fine...but you cannot tell me I am not your customer! After we moved in, I tried contacting Keith, the owner, to discuss this for over a month. We had a very brief call the first time and he refused to return any subsequent calls. I left messages, communicated to installers to have him call me, and also came to the store twice before I was able to catch him there. His arguments continued to be the same, that I am not the customer and they do not feel they have any responsibility for the design being wrong since it was signed off on by the builders. When you spend $4,000 on showers and both are wrong, definitely shows a lack of attention to detail. And when you do something wrong and do not make it right, you definitely reflect the quality of the business you run and your moral values. The installer said the cost to replace this piece of glass would have been around $400. If word of mouth or a negative review costs them just one customer, that profit is probably three times the cost it would have taken to replace the glass. Just seems like it would have been the right thing to do.
