The salon has a new owner now for the last 6 months and she has revamped the place. Jhansely the owner, is very detailed, takes her time with my mani and pedi and is always accommodating to my schedule. I'm extremely picky with my nails and she just gets me... I can actually relax when I'm there. She also has specials going on all the time, which make my mani and pedi a steal. I have over 100 pictures of designs and colors I've done with both Tom and lieu and I've always loved them. We always get treated like family by both Tom and lieu and till this day we keep in touch via social media. They watched me grow up from a teenager to young adult to even getting married! I haven't been able to go back as I live so far away from Hialeah but I hope to one day visit back and do my nails just like old times. I have nothing but good things and love for these two and for their business which they manage amazingly. Tom is know for his jokes and laughs and lieu is known for her amazing skills in designs. I have not been able to find a salon that does it like they do :)

I was introduced to Virginia who did my gel manicure and regular pedicure. I was very pleased with how lovely Virginia was, so sweet and friendly. I thought she did a pretty good job too on my nails. So once my nails was complete and it was time to pay, I whipped out my phone to show them the 20% off coupon to get that applied and THAT IS WHEN I WAS PISSED OFF! I think it was the owner that I spoke to that told me she no longer honors this discount. She went on to bad mouth Yelp saying that she no longer subscribes to Yelp because Yelp had posted her prices wrong and it took months for them to fix it so it's been over a year now that she no longer honors that promotion. She told me she could offer me $5 off oppose to the the $11 dollars that would have been the 20%. As a customer, this did not sit well with me! I found your business on Yelp lady! It's business, why would you piss off a 1st time customer with such stupidness. Furthermore, I was also irritated that I could not leave Virginia a tip with my credit card payment. I did not have enough cash on me to leave Virginia a better tip which she deserved. That also pissed me off! If the owner wasn't so freaking petty, I would have came back again. Because of her pettiness, I will not come back. That was not a way to impress a potential repeat customer but it appears she could care less!

I called today, Thursday, to book an appointment for next Saturday, the 11th, which is plenty of time in advance (over a week). The woman that answered the phone told me "sure, what time would you like to come in on Saturday, and who usually does your nails?". Such an answer would indicate Saturday availability. The minute I told her I am a new customer with a Groupon voucher and don't have a "usual person to do my nails", she changed her tone. She said "oh, if you're using a Groupon, you can only redeem it on Tuesdays and Thursdays". Uhh...what?? Nowhere on the voucher did it indicate that, or I never would have purchased the deal, considering I work full time Monday-Friday. It is disappointing that they would treat Groupon customers as second class citizens, by only allowing them to redeem their voucher on their pre-selected dates, without disclosing that at the time of purchase. It is not only restrictive, but wrong, yet they welcome walk-ins, go figure. I understand you feel you're in a position of power, as a business, to decide when you want to service customers, but at least let Groupon know of this fact in advance so they may warn potential customers and they can decide whether this is convenient for them or not. In the end, they shot themselves in the foot with this selective treatment of theirs, because I have a voice and I will let others know of their lack of customer service, as I am doing now on Yelp. I am very disappointed about the poor customer service I received from this place. I guess they do not want the business or the exposure from Groupon enough to welcome potentially loyal customers with open arms, as they should do. As for me, I will be taking my business elsewhere, and have notified Groupon of their treatment toward me - as a result, I expect to receive a refund shortly. I will continue being a patron to Nails, Etc. as well as any other place that values their customers and treats them like family. I guess the old "if it's too good to be true, it probably is" adage is suitable in this situation. To me, customer service is everything. Even if you do exceptional work, with poor customer service, you will never be worthy of more than a 3 star rating from me (and even that would be rare). Groupon users, you may want to save your money and use it toward another salon that believes in customer service. You have been warned.

My pedicure and manicure felt rushed since they close at eight but my nails turned out nice so I can't complain ‍ I was also the last person in the store and one of the nail techs asked me how I was getting home and offered me a ride when I stated I was walking so that was very nice of her. I paid 105 which is GREAT pricing considering if I cross the bridge to surfside I'll probably pay WAY MORE
