I visited this salon on the morning of November 29th, and although the technician who attended me was polite, the final result was unacceptable. Throughout the process I noticed several details that I didn't like, but due to the language barrier (she spoke English and I don't), I wasn't able to express everything I wanted in the moment. Even so, I waited until the end to evaluate the final work. Once I stepped outside in natural light, the flaws became very obvious: * The shape of the nails is poorly done * There is a clear imbalance between nails * The texture is not uniform * The polish has uneven areas and visible mistakes For the quality I received, the service does not justify the price charged. I am very disappointed with the lack of technique and attention to detail. I hope the salon reaches out to me to offer a proper solution, as this is the least a customer should expect after such a substandard service. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience. The service I paid for was done incorrectly, and when I asked for it to be fixed, the staff refused to correct their mistake. Instead of addressing the problem, I was threatened that the police would be called if I did not pay. Because the service was not correctly I had to go to two different locations to get the fix. I was hesitant because of the reviews, but I had a great experience! It's hard to find good nail techs who listen, give good color advice, and make you feel comfortable. Mimi did an amazing job on my nails! My appointment was at 10 am and I was out of there by 11 for a full set coffin shaped with gel! That's pretty good. Also, the gentleman with longer hair working at that time was friendly and kind with his client and with me. Don't let the bad reviews scare you away from here! I think some people just need to be patient & communicate a little more... I will be back :) read more

Not a very pleasant place to get your nails done on a girls day. The man there was very impatient from the start when we choose our colors. When he did my pedicure I asked him to cut my nails as he began painting. He got very mad and said why didn't u tell me earlier. After going back and forth about me wanting my nails cut more he began to cut them aggressively and got very annoyed. After he begins to do another clients nails and calls me crazy. On October 15th, 2021, My daughter visited this nail salon hoping to get her nails done for their fist visit to Miami. Turns out it was the WORST. The tools used on her feet caused a SERIOUS infection. I noticed some slight imperfections after she returned home on the 18th of October 2021, but didn't think much of it- however the pictures below are the result of dirty tools used to do her pedicure, as stated by our Primary Care doctor. DO NOT GO HERE! I downloaded yelp due to this place because it was horrible. I am here in the Miami area for my honeymoon and wanted to get a manicure and pedicure. I picked this place based on star rating. I definitely regret my decision. Once I sat down in the chair they did not ask me what pedicure I wanted. The guy that did my pedicure chose whichever one he wanted scent and type of pedicure. I was extremely upset but tried not to cause a fuss. During the pedicure my legs started to burn due to the products. I get pedicure often and have never had this happen before. The water/feet tub smelt like mold/mildew. The guy was extremely rough and had horrible hospitality and did not care at all about me while I was there. He brought out towels to wrap my legs in and they were extremely hot. The towels had stains all over them. I decided I wasn't going to stay to get my nails done and when I told them that they laughed at me and started to question me asking where I was going and being extremely rude. Then he bent down and ripped out my toe separators while my polish was still wet. The paint job on my toes is clumpy and ridged. They were extremely rude and not considerate at all. I've given this place a few chances now. Mostly because it's right next-door to one of my favorite restaurants so my girlfriends and I usually do nails and lunch. A couple of recent experiences have completely put me off of this place. The first one was when my friend and I went for a pedicure the one guy who does nails refused to put a clearcoat on top of her nail paint saying that it wasn't needed. She asked him a couple of times but he refused to do it. She has never come back since. Yesterday my friend and I had appointments at the same time and wanted to do deluxe pedicures but only one person was available so my friend was waiting for 20+ minutes to even get started so she changed hers to a regular pedicure instead of the deluxe. The deluxe pedicure on their price list is listed for $40. After mine was done, I was told it was $45. I showed them the pricing on their own list but they said they had done something extra. Unfortunately their communication is rather poor and the guy stuck to $45 despite not having told me about the up charge when I picked what I wanted done. Not going back again. Extremely poor customer service. read more

Enough is enough! I absolutely never EVER want to enter this nail salon. I was a loyal customer until I couldn't just hide what was going on around me.... I think I got to the point where I chose Platinum Nails as the best of the worst. In the beginning I was ecstatic when I found a manicurist Hannah and her boyfriend that did an amazing job. I would only let one of the two do my nails. Then all of a sudden, they were gone. Rumors spread that they were pocketing money and were fired. I would go into this salon and would mind my own business. BUT, it was extremely hard to see ALL of the staff being in every way possible rude, let me rephrase this NASTY to all of the clients. They would talk sh*t about everyone that they were handling. G-d forbid, you would complaint about anything because they will chew you up and purposely do a worst job. The owner is the Queen of all of this behavior. It's just really sad how slowly but surely they are losing all of their clients. The place is a decent looking place but the service and the vibe is nerve wrecking. Back to my story.... After Hannah and her boyfriend left, I tried every single person in the salon and they all did a terrible job. Snappy and witchy, but I was determined to find someone I would commit to! At last, I finally found Kim, she was my Savior. She was not like any of the other their. She made the abuse that was going around alright to handle because of her work. She took her time, never said anything rude, mainly stayed quiet and did an amazing job. I was more than happy, until she took a vacation to Vietnam. I have been their twice since she's been gone and I cannot take how terrible this salon is being run..... The salon is now dirtier than ever, it's like they don't even take the time to clean up. They half a$$ any service you request. They treat you terrible and talk more crap behind your back. And with the little English they know, they def know how to be rude. Worst they can't do nails. I found out about the location about a week ago because I came in with my grandmother who had an appointment for a massage. I went in as a walk-in for a gel polish mani and a regular pedi. One of the owners, Tina, assisted me and she was adorable. A sweet and amiable woman who made me feel welcomed. My nails came out great. By the time my grandma was done with her service I could see she had a great experience and I immediately booked an appointment to have a massage with the other owner, Henry. I feel like new! It was my first time receiving a professional full body massage and I can assure you he keeps it professional and he is well informed. It was fantastic ! I love that the owners are passionate about their vocation and make their clients feel like they are at home. I will definitely recommend them and plan on bringing in new clientele. read more

What a great find! My friend and I needed a girl's night out on a dull Monday. We went for pedi's, and I ended up getting a full body massage, too. The husband and wife who own and operate this salon are scrupulous. It's clean and attractively zen-ish. First came thorough buffing and cuticle care before several precise coats of glossy enamel. Pedi came out rich, and for $25 bucks it looks luxe- nice thick layers of shiny paint. They spent an hour on my feet. For reference: once I got a pedi as nice as this one at a swank spa on the beach, and it cost $50 not including cost of valet. During the pedi, Mr. Nguyen (the owner) gave me a pressure point foot massage. Pow! This guy knows what he's doing! That's when I inquired about the full body massage special ($50). He kindly made time for me--even though they were closing in an hour--to have a combination swedish/deep tissue/thai massage. I am a chronic pain sufferer (bad accident); the massage from the owner was excellent and tailored to my angry knots and lumps and bumps. People, take heed: this guy knows what he's doing. They request you tip in cash. At first I was a little skeptical of this place due to the reviews from a few years ago, but I learned from the owners that they had recently acquired it. They are such friendly folks! Given that the prices are reasonable for the quality of the service, given that there is no gum smacking, eye-rolling attitude, I would to stick to this place. My friend and I plan to come here next time after having lychee martinis next door at Hiro's. Wheee! read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! This was the worst experience ever. First off, the place is filthy. I mean like really filthy. I am pretty sure that the basin had not been cleaned, the nail clippers and cuticle tools had not been sterilized, and the towels were left over from the last client. I am not against cheap and cheerful, but this place was a petri dish of bacterial grossness. I still ask myself why I didn't get up and leave just at the sight of the place. Next time I go with my gut. Just to make matters worse, the staff were incredibly rude. On top of having orders barked at me like the "Soup Nazi", the pedicurist accused my wife of being "picky" because she complained that she had gotten nail polish all over her toes. Dear Alicia C, When I read what you wrote in Yelp - I was very surprised and quite sad. I came to work on that Monday since Sundays are my days off. When I walked into the Salon and I saw you holding Tony & MiMi's baby, I thought you were the babysitter - I greeted you and smiled... Tony said that you weren't the babysitter and he explained to me that their babysitter had a doctor's appointment, so they brought their baby to the Salon until the babysitter finished and came to take the baby home. I didn't talked much with you because I was very busy and moreover since Tony was the person who asked you to come to try, I thought it would be easier for Tony and you to work together. On Sunday, Tony had asked you to come the next day since the Salon is in need of nails tech and you told him you were a license tech. On that morning, A customer came in to have pedicure done. Tony let you start doing it, but the customer was afraid when you cut  his toenails, so MiMi came and took over -  but Tony still asked you to sit next to MiMi and watch. I was busy with my clients so I didn't know anything else. Tony gave you the opportunity to watch and learn how to do a pedicure because you really don't know. There was no argument just the fact that we have to let you go since you can't do this and we privilege our clients and are not willing to have them scared thinking you might hurt them. You are right, each Salón has a different way of doing it, but the basics of doing pedicures or manicures are the same. When we hire new workers, we let them do whatever way they feel  comfortable and maybe if we feel they need to change their practice a bit, we explain it. Even though we have a great experience, we are open to learn from our workers if they do a better job than us. Our goal is excellence and have our customers happy! We never asked you to sweep the floor! We mop the floor and cleaned up before we leave the Salon every day. You said that you even have to look after a child. Actually Tony and his wife don't want anyone to hold their child during these time of Covid-19 epidemic. They told me that you took the child out of the Cradle. You have been in our Salon for 2 to 3 hours to see & try if you were interested in learning how to do pedicure & manicure.
