This is my first ever negative Yelp review in over 16 years of Yelp-ing. NOTHING IS "THE BEST" about this place! This nail salon is located in my office building so it was a relationship of convenience at first. The first time I went in, they charged me an extra $23 to remove the gel form my mani and an extra $23 to remove the gel from my pedi and didn't tell me about this fee until it was time to pay. This extra $46 was a shock onto the already sticker shock that was $80 for a mani (while they try to upsell up the entire time to something else!) and then $120 for a pedi. That's $246 BEFORE tip for a very average mani and pedi (which is actually NO pedicure, but they just slop some polish on your toes.) The prices are outrageous and it is totally unconceivable that they get away with this with the service and services that you get. The customer service is HORRIBLE from right when you walk in the door, and that should have been my first sign. The girls who do your nails are very rough and they file your nails down too thin and it's painful and burning as they file. They are also wayyyyy too aggressive and careless with cuticles and cut me several times make them bleed. It got so bad that after the 2nd time I went, I told them to not touch my cuticles at all during my manicure. You also have to listen to the nail techs pressure you every 3 minutes to upgrade (upsell) your service. Mgmt, I beg you, PLS STOP the high pressure upsell while customers are supposed to be relaxing getting nails done! Their customer service was the last straw for my very average main-pedi experiences with over inflated prices, however. Every time I had an appointment they called or text me to come 45min to an hour later- then, they would STILL make me wait once I arrived. The last time I was there they pushed my appointment back an hour and then I sit down and 1 woman took off my gel and then made me wait another hour before another woman came and did my nails. I hit my limit when a few weeks ago I had an appointment that I needed to cancel because I tested positive for Covid that Monday morning. I called and emailed at 9am and then got a text from the salon. There was what appeared to be an immature teenage girl with ZERO customer service who was texting me from their phone telling me that I could not cancel or push back my appointment to next week to use the deposit then, and that it did not matter that I had Covid. I emailed the management my Covid test and she said sorry my deposit was going to girl who lost money not doing my nails at 6pn. This was a lie because you can book appointments online and see their schedules and see that their calendar was wide open for that whole entire day. I text back the teenage girl and asked if they could show me some grace and push my appointment back a week and let me use the deposit for that following week because of all the times that they have pushed my appointments back EVERY single time that I have ever been there. She tells me that she was new there and that she was not there when my appointments have been pushed back in the past. I asked if the manager could help and she said they couldn't do anything about it to override the system, meanwhile the teenage girl was also using stupid emojis to communicate between texts. Bottom line, the services and prices aren't worth the rip-off that this place is and the horrible customer service that they provide. Now I know why my entire office of 15 women doesn't go to this place even though it is located in the same office and SAME FLOOR as us. (Yes, they ALL get their nails done somewhere else!) read more

I was looking for a spa like treatment. I booked the nail transition from acrylic to gel...every video I have seen if this they soak off the acrylic to get to your natural nail, they do not do that here. They file then and leave a lot of the acrylic on and put the gel over. This was disappointing but they damage to my cuticles on my hands and feet ... SO painful, I told her a few times that it was hurting and she just said I have "sensitive cuticles" well ya so maybe take it easy. The pedicure which they charge $100 was the absolute worst experience I have ever had. First you sit on the most uncomfortable chair, you have to sit with your legs bent so the can do your feet ... No foot soak, they do only Dry manicures and pedicures. She cut my big toe with the disk. Overall the most painful experience of my life. I have been getting my nails and toes done once a month for the past 20 years! I will never do this again. I ended up paying over $300 for this experience. The one good thing is she did paint them like I wanted ... but that's not worth $300 ... also while she was dusting my nails off she hit my hand with the Dremel and tore my skin ... read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Last week, I was verbally mistreated at Best Nails Salon in Aventura by the front desk lady with short brown curly hair. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. I work in customer service myself so I am understanding and never cause any issues anywhere I go. I have also never written a negative review on here but this experience was too horrible not to talk about. This salon provides a service for hard gel manicures which cost around $150 and $80 for the overlay refills. They advertise them to last up to 6 weeks. Mind you, I've had this manicure done before in the past and it does last for a long time. A few weeks ago, I got my nails done like normal. I went home and noticed that my nails were extremely thin and were bending once pressure was put on my nail. It was extremely uncomfortable and painful because any wrong move and my nail would snap off when hard gel is suppose to be very hard and almost unbreakable. I called the salon right away but received no answer or call back. I even called the next week but didn't get a reply. I live 40 minutes away and juggle between school & work so I wasn't able to go back in person to ask until about 2 weeks after the appointment. I called the day of with no response so I decided to walk in. My first interaction with this lady (assuming she's their receptionist) was not friendly... she didn't even seemed concerned that I had a serious problem with my nails even though I had been in pain from them being so fragile. She just told me to wait for a nail tech to redo them. She was extremely dry. Zero explaining. Zero empathy. After I finished my new set, she wanted to charge me the exact amount all over again. I explained to her that I thought she was fixing my nails as a courtesy for the tech doing a poor job. I guess she didn't like that I said that because she became verbally aggressive saying I missed their policy and that I never called to ask. She even deleted her call logs on her phone after I told her that I had called that morning to come in. Luckily, I had screenshot proof of all of the calls I had made, and I even called the number right in front of her. When her phone rang (clearly the calls were going through), she looked pissed. She called someone on the phone and started screaming in Russian (most likely talking shit about me) and that made me extremely uncomfortable. She kept saying "There's nothing I can do. It's your fault for not calling before. Someone has to pay for this. If it's not you, it will come from my pocket." She was completely putting the blame on ME for HER not answering her phone. She went back and forth between yelling at me and yelling on the phone in Russian to her boss for about 15 minutes. It was extremely uncomfortable for me but I stood my ground. Everyone in the salon could even hear her going crazy on me while I stayed calm and spoke nicely to her. At the end of it, she told me to leave because we did not reach a solution. By far, this was the craziest experience I have ever gone through. It is not a customers fault when you provide poor service. You cannot put the blame on people for YOUR mistakes. Best Nails Salon, start taking accountability... and while you're at it, teach your employees to have some decency when talking to customers because we are people too. Clearly, your employee was rude, nasty, and bad-mannered. I am still in shock by my treatment there and hope that she is never able to be that horrible to anyone ever again. read more

The nail tech didn't shape my nails how I like them and when I mentioned that she said it was too late because the gel was already on.
