I'm so thankful to this salon. I was having my baby shower and the person I booked through some app to do my hair canceled on me 2 minutes before they were due to arrive at my house. I was freaking out but this salon took me in immediately and fit me in the schedule on a Saturday morning!!. I have really big curly mixed hair, but wanted a sleek strsight look for my baby shower. My hair turned out beautifully and it was an extremely pleasant experience. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because it's not a super fancy place. I' ve been here a couple of times and have put up with some unprofessional behavior because the stylist is pretty good. However today the stylist attempted to do my hair while tending to two other people getting dyed and cut needless to say it took over an hour and 15 minutes to get my roots dyed it was a huge in consideration of my time and they were stalling without really being straightforward about the situation. I make appointments with stylist , I show up on time and even early I'm considerate of your time and I'm considerate with your tip and I expect a professional service . The first time I was at M Salon it was to have my hair dyed. The girl who dyed my hair was great. I think her name was Amanda. She was professional and thorough. She also did a great job washing my hair. She paid attention to detail and was very personable. Based on her performance I decided to come back for a hair cut. I ended up having my hair done by the owner. She's nice and attempts to engage customers with small talk, but I was put off by a few things. First, she kept taking calls while doing my hair. I can understand taking another booking and being quick and businesslike on the phone, but these were personal calls. Next I found her method of cutting hair strange and a little terrifying. Rather than pull segments of my hair away from my head and then cut the hair at an angle to achieve the correct layering she would push my head to one side as far as I could stand it and then comb the hair against my neck. Once she combed a few times (a comb repeatedly scraped on your neck is NOT pleasant) she would skim her very pointy shears across my neck to cut the hair. I was afraid she was going to draw blood. In fact, she did draw blood, but it wasn't with the shears it was with the straight razor she used on my neck. It was a minor cut and she apologized. The problem is that she ran the razor over my neck to the point that I spent almost two weeks with red irritated skin aside from the cut. Her blow out was also on the rough side as she knocked me on the head once with the round brush. In the end, the cut didn't really hold-up. I believe that the odd method she uses just didn't result in a style with stay power. The bottom of my hair was still a little too bulky and so it doesn't curve in the way it should. As great as the dye job was, I will not be returning. As for the owner, she's a nice person, but I would suggest that she s-l-o-w down and pay more attention to the customer. I live in the Miami springs area and I needed someone to do my nails since I had an event that day and the person who usually does my gel manicure was not available. It was nice that they were able to help me as soon as I came in, but it took so long I might as well have waited for my normal lady to become available. the lady that did my manicure doesn't know ANYTHING about gel manicure and kept asking question to the lady sitting next to her. The color I wanted was marshmallow and I know this is a difficult color to work with but if she was not capable of doing it she should've told me from the start. Instead she went ahead and did my nails and after 3 coats I noticed it looked terrible and there was not fixing it and she knew it looked bad so we had to start the process of removing it which is not easy with gel. She didn't even know how to remove it, I had to tell her to use foil. I also asked several times for a plastic bag or something that can keep the heat in and help the gel come off easier. (This is how my regular lady usually does it and by the time she's done with my pedi, the gel on my nails come off with no need of scrapping.) By the time she was done with the pedicure the gel was still pretty hard on my nails, so she began to scrape it off and then file my nails with the hardest nail filer ever! Not only did she file my nails but my fingers. It was very painful. After she went ahead and did my nails a different color and still not good. She did a horrible job at cleaning the edges and left bumps all over my nails. This lady should not be doing nails or just stay away from gel manicure at least. I went in at around 11:30 and left at 1:50! That's not okay. If you need to do your nails here ask for Zenia she seemed to know what she was doing, but avoid the lady sitting next to her. this place is definitely not worth the price. read more

Let me begin by saying that I have been going to this Salon since it opened its doors. The reason I keep coming back is because not only do they have the best customer service I have had in any salon, but the quality of whatever you are getting done is excellent! I came there with hair that looked like straw from the many bad coloring treatments I've had previously, and the owner personally took charge of my hair rehabilitation treatments. Today I have beautiful head of hair thanks to her dedication and great care. It doesn't end there though... the whole staff has something unique to offer the superior dynamic of this salon. From Zenia whose diversity ranges from nails, facials, spa treatments and much more, Aylemis who styles, cuts, and manicure/pedicures with her artistic flair, to Aurora who washes hair, as well as dyes and preps. The whole staff is friendly and conforms to your needs. The best thing though, the cost is very competitive. I would not go anywhere else! read more
