My dad had a HORRIBLE experience. My dad has been going to Ken for many years but this recent experience was the last straw. First, my dad says the hygiene was terrible. They don't properly disinfect their tools between customers and he used the same cape without a clean paper collar. Second, he accused my dad of being DRUNK. This is particularly offensive because my dad is legally blind and unsure of his surroundings so he may seem uneasy but he's definitely not a drunk. Ken kept going on about it when it's clearly none of his business either way. My stepmom told him about the eyesight and he stopped talking about it as much. To top it off, his haircuts aren't even that good. Don't bother going here. read more

Oy... I used to be a regular here, but probably won't come back again. For starters, they've slowly raised their prices. They no longer have a men's haircut special. It's now $12, the same price as the "other guys." That was one of the reasons I first tried them out. Second, I had to wait an hour and a half for my last haircut, despite there only being a few people in front of me and two people cutting hair. This is because the staff, while nice, stops what they're doing to talk to people who come in and it can sometimes take 5-10 minutes each. Combine that with the fact the male employee is very slow at cutting hair and it's easy to see why it took forever for them to see me. Third, while I said the barely-English-speaking Asian staff was nice, they were pretty rude this last trip. The male told a customer who came in that "each haircut takes one hour," probably because he didn't feel like helping them. Then, when it was my turn (after an hour and 15 minutes), the female told me to wait 5 more minutes for the male so she could help the lady who just came in and wanted a higher-priced service. Finally, they did an absolutely horrible job on my very simple haircut. The lines are all crooked and the sideburns are wayyyyy too high. I basically look like Forrest Gump. So yeah, maybe they're good for a simple kid's haircut (they still have that special at least), but don't think I'll return. read more

Poor service.. horrible experience..never happened before.. took my 2 boys for haircut after calling a head to make sure walkin are okay.. the guy asked us to leave after waiting for 20 mins and after seating one of my boys.. the guy got offended when I casually asked "are you the only one working today" !! Mr. Ken is a professional! Has cut my kids and my husband's hair for two years, since we moved here. He takes his time but the end result is a great style. Love the way their hair looks after he cuts it. Only issue is that he is popular - long wait. For best results go early during the week or catch him on a Sunday if the shop is open. read more

The first time I came here (years ago) I was a bit hesitate about it since it wasn't busy but Tam is super sweet and has done an amazing job with my hair every single time I've been there. She always recognizes me and immediately makes me feel at ease (I hate getting hair cuts). I love that I can always just walk in and don't have to have an appointment. Everyone is always friendly. Ken is a good hair stylist. But only him and the other one is not (I tried and it was worst cut ever). So if you go there, you will noticed that everyone want to have a hair cut with him.. It will take you AN HOUR OR MORE just to wait. If you asked for appointment, they will say that they don't have one. But you will noticed that some will just drop by and have their cut on time without wait. Very irritating experience and no sorry or any apology !!! I would rather go to other shop so I don't need to wait for long hours just to get a hair cut. read more

Tina cut my child's front hair too short and uneven. My child looks like a dummy now. Initially male owner and Tina refused to give us refund. The owner said," call the police". Later Tina gave me $ 12 back. read more

I used to be a regular costumer since he opened . But after today's visit, I will never back again , because Mr kein needs a course in costumer services . Actually , I felt his rude behave from last time, and I never come back a gain . Today I was need to do hair cut to my kids , and I cant wait till tomorrow so I stop by pro-cut but they were close due to sunday . So it was my bad stop at Mr -k , because he gave his welcome with a nice smile except me . I guise he does not Like my stile , but this is his problem. Also , he did the hair cut to my young kids with out putting the tissue a round their nick making their nick so itchy ..... I don't think Mr-k you like to do that with your daughter. read more

Very bad experience with Ken, when I went for hair cut. He shouted at me. He was very rude. I regularly visit K-hair salon. Every time I used to cut hair and do color. At end I pay and used to tip every time. Ken and Tina both were friendly. Last time when I went there for hair cut, Ken said something which was very hard for me to understand. Then he said if I am not comfortable I should see Tina next time. I never thought that he was upset when mentioning that to me. I never thought that he is unfriendly with me at that time. So after this incident, I took my 3 kids for hair cut. I did not interact with him a lot at that time. Now today was my third visit after that incident. Tina was not available. Ken and myself are the only people in the salon. He doesn't want to cut my hair. I am not sure why? He told me that I have to wait 30 min to 1 hr for Tina to arrive at the salon. He is trying to make me wait. By that time some other people started showing up at the salon. He started interacting with them. One of that persons who came after me started asking if I want to go first. Then Ken started saying No. Then he started shouting at me. I will never ever go to him. I still wonder why this happened? I still wonder what went wrong? I haven't anything to upset Ken. He was very irritable and erratic. A different side of Ken. read more

I was a regular here as I live very close to this location. I used to get mine and my 4yr old son's haircut here and had a good experience in the past. But the last time I went to get a hair cut for my son I saw a different side of Ken. As my son was getting his haircut by Ken, I was sitting in the waiting area talking to my friend on the phone. As I was on the phone from my seat I stood up once or twice to check if he was getting close to being done and if everything was ok because the kids get restless after sometime and start moving. As soon as I was done with my phone Ken in his broken English started saying that if I didn't trust my son with him giving my son a haircut, I shouldn't bring him there anymore. i tried explaining to him that I was on the phone and all I was doing was checking if he was doing ok and if he was done with the haircut. He didn't care to listen and kept saying that checking on my son was a distraction for him and that my son was not welcome back. You could see him and the other lady talking about this in vietnamese and he seemed irritated. Overall it was a very unpleasant experience. Needless to say I won't be going back there. There are plenty of other options for haircut in the neighborhood. read more

Very bad customer service. Ken might be a good hair stylist but he is very rude and does not know how to behave with customers. Today I went for haircut, it was extremely hot inside with thermostat reading shows as 77F inside. I told him politely it is very hot can you turn the fan to face my side. He did not do that instead he started conversation with another lady hair stylist in Vietnamese or some Asian language. Not sure if they were talking about me but after the haircut he rudely said, If I am feeling hot I should go and see the doctor and started complaining to the customers in the waiting area that I might have some health problem or I have eaten some spicy food. I never experienced this before, so not sure how to react was still in a shock that just saying very hot make someone so mad. I just walked out of the door but thought I should share my experience with my neighborhood. If you care about good customer experience I do not recommend this place. read more
